How to BU a large play list

Must be doing something wrong that is very basic here:
For Christmas, I loaded all my jazz Christmas CDs into iTunes and made a large playlist which became my winter jutebox. Wonderful.
Wish to clear the HD space, and Backup this play list to a DVD or HD.
I tried to highlight the whole play list and drop into a folder, DVD, or HD to BU. Won't go anywhere.
What am I doing wrong?

Did you try highlighting the playlist in iTunes and choosing Burn Disc then when you got the burning preferences box choosing Data DVD? If the playlist is too large you might consider making more than one and splitting the songs across them:

How to Sort music on play list by FILE NAME?

iTunes doesn't display the filename or filepath as a column so you can't sort on it. I could write a script to copy the filepath into the Sort Name field so that sorting by name would sort by filepath. Would that help? In normal circumstances however filepath order would be the same as Album by Artist, so I'm not sure what you would gain. Perhaps there is another way to approach whatever problem you think sorting by filename would solve.

Yes, in preferences set up your import settings, then right click on the tracks you need in a different format and use Create < Format> Version. New copies will be created in the target format.

I don't think you can, jeanne. In order to do that, you'd need to have both user accounts "running" at the same time on the PC. To do that, you'd need to be using Fast user switching ... but iTunes for Windows doesn't work with Fast user switching.

I had itunes running on my old computer.
The mother board gave up.
Got another computer and put the good drive from the old computer into the newer one as a slave.
I have itunes all set up but can't figure out were to get my play lists and cover art to get them to the new drive/program.

Hold shift when you launch iTunes. It will let you chose a library. Chose the one one the slave drive from your old computer and it will look just like it did when you last used it on the old one.
It will be located in your User folder under My Music\iTunes

How to display videos in Play Lists on iOS 6

Under iOS 5 I was able to create play lists in iTunes and put batches of videos of the same type into separate play lists. I then opened 'Music' on the iPhone and selected the playlist I wanted.
Under iOS 6, Music no longer allows those videos to appear - they now appear only in 'Videos' but Videos doesn't appear to support play lists.
Is it possible to store videos on the iPhone in different playlists any more or has the feature just been removed?

I use a PC for work, a MAC for home, and my wife and I both have iPhone 4 and iPad 2. I would like to download the songs from one particular playlist on the iCloud to the jumpdrive so that I can install the mujsic onto my car's hard disk. I would like to do this using my PC if possible. I seem to be having a mental block. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I want to tranfer the contents of iTunes from my Apple computer to my windows xp computer. The transfer of the music files together with their titles etc. works very well via an external hard disc, but how can I transfer the play lists?

Yes format the ext. volume on the Mac. Below is an example of using disk utility to format a drive. It is nothing to do with FAT 32 or windows but I include it as an example. Read it and adapt it to your needs.
backing up HD and Panther upgrading step by step request by Cornelius.
In you case the format type you will choose will be shown as MS DOS _which is the same_ name as FAT 32. - both Mac and windows read/write.
