Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

Update new Folio Builder Panel but not the Folio Producer Tools?

I was prompted to update the Builder Panel so I have done this now. I have read some older posts from last week about the new producer tools with new interactivity inside MSOs.
Is everybody still having problems with this update or has the bug been fixed now?
I'm not on such a tight deadline but I don't want any problems! Should I hold fire on updating the Producer tools?

You can update the viewer builder panel independent from producer tools.
So you can stay on version 17 of the tools but you need the current folio
builder panel.

I am starting with the AsynchronousCallAndForget.vi from the example finder and inserted an invoke node with the FP Open method call prior to the Start Asynchronous Call node. The vi I am loading has the "Run when opened" unchecked and the menu bar IS visible so I can manually click the run arrow. Thanks!

Why are you using the Async call? If you simply open the VI reference, then call the FP.Open method this works fine. You can then call the VI run method with Wait Until Done set to false if you wish to run it Asynchronously, this is how we did it in ye olde days before we had this new fangled "Start Asynchronous Call" stuff.

How to Build an Animation to run a Box

I have a question. Have someone an Idea to build an Animation which includes this:
- Only use Animations how work in HTML5
- Use Captivate 8
- Let a box run from left to right. On the right side it has to disappear. then it have to start on the first position in the left und run from left to right again.
- Do this, every 6 seconds, as long as the sheet is on the screen.
I don´t know how do build this without using some Flash Animation and without build 1000 boxes....

I'm making a Christmas playlist and want to edit the info on the various songs -- I'll add my own "album artwork" and will change the track info so each of the 25 songs is numbered 1 of 25 ... 25 or 25

How best do I deal with the playlist so I can make my changes for this project but not lose the original info associated with each song? For example I'll want to add my artwork this time but want the original file to still have the original artwork, track number, album name, etc.

I am not aware of the "automatically add to iTunes" function -- is it a folder, a button, a menu item, ...? I don't see it in my iTunes and there is no mention when I did a search in the help. I'm sure it is right in front of my face.
What I was thinking of doing was dragging the songs to my desktop and then dragging back. But am I then going to get messed up with the file being recompressed?

It's a very good idea to use an external hard disk to take load off the Main Start-Up (Mac OS) hard disk.
BUT there are some VERY Important things to know.
A. NEVER move via DeskTop/Finder or alter any folders named
• iMovie Events - or -
• iMovie Projects
As this will result in disaster (hard to impossibly to mend)
All moving's of Events and Projects must be done Within the iMovie Application to be done in a Safe Way
B. The External/Second Hard Disk
• MUST BE - Mac OS Extended (hfs) formatted for VIDEO - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange works for most things BUT NOT FOR VIDEO - whatever program is used iMovie or FinalCut or iDVD doesn't matter - VERY IMPORTANT ! ! !
• Should be a FireWire one as USB/USB2 performs badly to me especially when filling up. (Thunderbolt might be even better - have non to test)
BUT when reg. iPhoto Library.
• Yes it can be moved
• Yes iPhoto can be directed to find it
• BUT - iMovie can not find those out-localized iPhoto libraries (AS FAR AS I Learned up to now 12-April-03 - anyone with more insight may kindly set me into a possibly way to do this)
So I've outsource my iMovie Event's (most important as they take space) and Projects (not so important as they are very small - no movies in them only text document conducting how the Events are to be viewed) - BUT iPhoto stays - will not touch it.

I'm working on a project to convert several hundred thousand life sciences articles into epub format, and we have run in to a problem with character entities.
Being that these are scientific articles, the characters are from a wide range of Unicode charts, and are essential to transmitting the meaning of the data.
The problem is that in my epub, the character entity inside a table data cell is rendering the @font-face correctly, but inside any other HTML element, the character renders as an empty box on our ipad2s.
I've placed pre tags in hopes that the unicode will not be rendered in your browser here. The code point in this example is x1d542 just in case.
So inside div, we see boxes, inside td, we see the character rendered properly.

Is it possible that this is a rendering bug, because the character is rendering in the table cell, but not in other elements?

How come I can see my div in design view but not in live view

Hi,
I have a div ID called "portfolio" that I can see in design view but not live view or on a browser. It's a little pink square and I want that square round also.
I ran it through validator. It picked up some things in the style.css which I changed and the boilerplate.css that I did not. Because I thought DW auto creates code for boilerplate because I don't enter that code myself.
It's also rejecting a lot of webkit code but this seems like standard webkit code that works elsewhere on the page.
BTW: at what point does this brutal hand coding pay off in money and less heartache when Wordpress looks cleaner and is so much easier to use? I feel like I barely know HTML or CSS in terms of translating vision to reality and with all-browser functionality after months and months of on-line classes. How long are the pros at it till they reach a watershed point?

The top:-300 is putting that div above the top of the browser viewport. Fix that and you'll see the div.

How do I change states on part of a page but not all of it?

I can't figure out how to word this question to make it make sense, but here goes...
I have a page with 2 parts, Graphics and Photos... I want the Photos part to have a "next page" and "previous page" button that won't interfere with the Graphics part, in case I want to add a next/back button to that too... but they're all on the same page... so do I have to make a new state for each combination of pages? (like graphics page 2 and photos page 3 together, graphics page 2 and photos page 4 together, etc etc) because I could probably do that... Or is there an easier way?
