How to build the W510 recovry DVD ?

Hello,
I bought a W510 today and I would like to know how can I burn the recovery DVD on my thinkpad W510?
I have a IdeaPad Y570 too, and it is very easy to make this in this system, but in the thinkpad I do not find any program to make this.

I found the thinkvantage directory in the all prograns, but I am confused, it is for the back-up of the system, or it made a recovery discks ?
I tried and it made a backup in the same HDD of the OS.

it is the program that you talk about ?
I found too othe program in the all programs, a Acronis true image home. but it fail to made a image of the z:\recovery partition.

there's no such functionality in EAL to create Essbase outlines based on levels. the only workaround to this is to use Mapping tables:
1- create the dimension in essbase with the desired HFM level 1 members as level 0.
2- set this specific dimension to mapping in your design grid within your EAL Bridge
3- create the SQL Mapping table and start mapping those members from HFM to Essbase.

How to improve the quality of DVD?

I know that there is a option of best perfermance or best quality in the preference menu.
I have tried the "best quality" and encode a 1 hr. video from DV Cam , the size of the video is only around 2 G out of 4.2.
While I use my DVD HD recorder to make a DVD, I chose the best quality and the quality/resolution of the DVD is much better compare with the one made by the Mac book.
How can I increase the quality of DVD captured from DV cam?
Any helps?

there are no manual-settings in iDVD for setting bitrates...
to "set" the highest possible bitrate, make project shorter then <60min plus choose "Best performance"... (the naming is irritating... BP creates VBR, which is "better" compared to CBR, which is in iDVD-ish "Best Quality"...)

1. Firsty, logical model and physical model are the terms ,which we generally use in the context of database modelling excercise.
2. Coming to essbase, I am not sure ,what exactly you are trying to co relate . but as you termed 'partitions'. There is one of the types in partitioning called 'Transparent Partition'. Where, you have one cube ( which has data in it) and you can have one mroe cube ( which actually has no data in it). But it can be connected to the former cube with the help of transparent partition. This way, you have 2 cubes , but only one cube has data in it.

lets say I have checked out several inactive DCs to my NWDS workspace. I've some open activities and one committed/closed activity. Is it possible to build the currently active DC (with the one closed activity) from DTR and not the inactive one in my workspace?
I've tried to build some DCs in the "Active DCs" tab under the DC perspective. But that did not work. After I uploaded the application to the portal server all changes I've done were not present.

In this workspace you musn't checkout any files, to this workspace only the CBS has write authorization in case of a succesful activation of an Activity.
You have synced the component from active workspace, this workspace is reserved for CBS hence Developer Studio tells you that you can't modify this workspace. Sync your DC you want to modify from the inactive workspace (e.g. in Development Configuration perspective sync sources for your DC from the view "Inactive DCs") then you should be able to checkout.

How To Keep The Controller in DVD Player From Always Launching

Everytime I launch the DVD Player, the controller is always on the desk top, and I have to manually hide it. How can I turn that function off? I looked in DVD Player preferences, and could't find anything. Just want to on/off controller manually.

That is the OS default feature; the best I could find is this key command: press Option-Command-C to show or hide the Controller. At least that would be easier and quicker than going to the Menu.

When using hyperlink, how to build the URL?

I open a report using followin URL
http://machine_id:portnum/reports/rwservlet?report=C:\oracle_reports\test.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=html&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
then this will open a report
I want to add a hyperlink within this report to create another report named test2.jsp (in same folder as test.jsp)
because within this report (test.jsp) I don't know how to get machine_id(or IP adress), portnum, path of the file, and all.
I just know file name to be opened from the hyperlink (test2.jsp)
Is there any way to get the URL used to open current report within the report running.
What i'm trying to say is, when i open the test.jsp, I know the ip address, portnumber, path of the file and file name, and all parameters, so I can open test.jsp, but when i open test2.jsp from test.jsp, I don't have have those info, so how do i get those info within running report of test.jsp.
also second question is, i wanna create a link to display current report in pdf format. In order to do that, i need to create a hyperlink exactly same as above except for desformat=pdf
is there any easy way to achieve this task? (actually first question's answer can be same answer for this question)

Hi Hanjoo,
I am assuming for this reply that your test.jsp and test2.jsp are deployed on the SAME host machine.
In that case, as the first step, put the file path (C:\oracle_reports) in the REPORTS_PATH environment variable on your machine.
Then you can use a hyperlink like this inside test.jsp:
/reports/rwservlet?report=test2.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=html&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
For a PDF report output, you can use
/reports/rwservlet?report=test.jsp&USERID=uid/pwd@db&DESTYPE=cache&mode=bitmap&desformat=pdf&pagestream=yes&paramform=yes
The machine name and port number will automatically be pre-pended to the above hyperlink at runtime.

I am trying to build a RejectedMessageHandler process to send notification to administrator if any message has been rejected by Adapters.
I read this document.

Then I downloaded the RejectionMessage.wsdl and JCAErrorHandling.xsd from SOA server. Then use the RejectedMessage in JCAErrorHandling.xsd as the input type for this Async RejectedMessageHandler process.
The add rejectedMessageHandlers information in bpel.xml of my Adapter test process to call the RejectedMessageHandler process.

Few things u should keep in mind
1) Take the tables and find the relation ship between those(pk-fk)
2) Identify Dim's and Fact's
3) After step2 definitely there will be a division of header level and detail tables
4) Dim1 having Business_Date and Fact1 having Business_date u can join in this way
5) Normally without ETL we may go for Pl/SQL or SQL's.Your Data model will come under this point
6)In BMM layer u can form Start Schema/Snow flake schema

Interactive Report - How does it build the where claue when filtering data?

I am curious how APEX builds the where clause when users add filters or does APEX simply filter the data?
The reason I am asking, is for performance reasons, we have used inner selects to retrieve columns vs. using outer joins. However, I am just curious if we will suffer doing so when users add filters on these columns.
Below are some details about our report:
We have a report where we are joining many tables (25 tables) together. Initially, we created the report with outer joins and noticed that the cost of the explain plan was 2600 and the performance was marginal. We then started to remove the outer joins and replacing with inner selects and the cost and performance of the report improved. Currently, we have replaced 13 of the outer joins with inner selects and the cost is down to 650 and the performance is better.
Below are examples:
-- Using Outer Joins
Select q.quote_id, q.quote_name, l.location_name, sr.sales_rep_name
from quote q, location l, sales_rep sr
where q.location_id = l.loation_id
and q.sales_rep_id = sr.sales_rep_id

If you switch on debug in Apex developer toolbar you can see the effect of user built filters on the sql that is actually executed for report.
