How to build Vis in NI_AALbase.lvlib to my Stand-alone application?

Hi, everybody.
I met some problems while building the subVis of NI_AALbase.lvlib and NI_AALPro.lvlib into my stand-alone application.
I use Labview 8.2 professional version and Windows xp OS.
While I build the system contained example "Peak detection and display.vi" into stand-alone application, it succeeded in the local computer,and the exe program run correctly.
Then I move the generated application files to another computer, where only the run-time engine 8.2 was installed. However, some errors
appeared during the running. The error message is "unable to load the front panel, error in loading 'NI_AALPro.lvlibeak detector.vi' "
It seems the "Peak detector" subvi in NI_AALPro.lvlib can not be found. Similar problems happened with the subvis in NI_AALbase.lvlib.
I use the default configuration for Application Builder. I donot know how to configure the Application Builder.
Could you help me to solve the problems?

An example of a non-vi support file might be an image that you are importing into your application. LabVIEW can obtain data from external files and perform LabVIEW functions on it.
Thus, if you created an application that imported a file that is not a vi, you would include this in your support files.
You can find out more about File I/O in the LabVIEW Help>>Fundamentals section.

Build stand-alone application with Global variable

Question:
how to build a VI access a global variable into a standalone EXE file?
there are multiple VIs access to one Global variable, one of the VIs need to run in background to update the Global variable, whick i built into EXE file.
the rest VI will be called in from Teststand to retrieve the Global variable.
the global variable is updated if i run the background VI in labview, but after i build it into EXE file, it seems the global is not updated even the EXE running OK.

Do you actually need to have an executable.
If you can call your global variable updater VI as a VI form, then your other VI's will still beable to see the Global variable.
You can launch you global variable updater VI in a new thread or execution so that it runs in the background and returns back to TestStand sequence so you can continue on with the rest of your tests.
Remember to close your global updater VI before you complete your test sequence run.

How to Insert fields directly from sharepoint instead of stand alone fields.

I have synced my designer 2013 to my SharePoint site. now below is my input page, but they way i created it was stand alone fields. but instead I want to add the fields directly from my SharePoint, how do i do that, because if i modify anything on my SharePoint,
then i wouldn't have to modify anything again in SharePoint designer ..
Also my last question is how do auto generate fields when a certain selection is made in my drop down.. for example if someone chooses NY (in wire-center name drop-down) then WC name:, site code:, and design area is auto filled.

According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about the custom form.
To custom a form, I recommend you use the InfoPath to design the desirable form.
What’s more, we can also use the InfoPath to achieve the auto fill field from a drop down list.

Can any one tell me how do i find if the SQL Reporting services are stand alone or clustered ?
As there are no other SQL features installed on the server except for reporting.
Is there any GUI or CLI command to check this ?

Hello,
Do not open cluster administrator since SSRS cannot take advantage of Windows Clustering Services.
You need see if the Network Load Balancing manager (NLB) (windows feature) is installed on the SSRS computer and open
it to see if a NLB cluster has been configured.

How do I install NiDaq on a Labview RT stand alone pxi?

I have a PXI 8196 that is running Labview RT. Unfortunately NiDaq has been deleted off of it. I can see it through max on my local PC. I would like to know if there is a way to either.
a: revert the hard drive back? ( This system is not partitioned with anything else)
b: install NiDaq using it as a remote PC.

YES u can reformat to do everything from scratch
followiing sequence ll help u
first install LV
install corressponding LVRT module
install "PXI platform services" from CD
install Daqmx
insert CD "LabVIEW real time target software" CD
go to MAX>>remote>>software>>add/remove>> install softwares to Target

How to change std set up to get a stand alone APO 4.1 without R/3 linkage.

Hello,
I have been looking for documentation/advise regarding the severing of the linkage of an APO system from and existing R/3 system so that it becomes a stand alone system.
Let me explain.
We have recently been bought out by a larger global company who have their own SAP system and are currently incorporating our system into it (DP/SNP & PPDS).
However the global company sees that the our Demand Planning Statistical Forecasting functionality is a local process as they do not use it, so it will not be taken within the global system.
This would mean that we would loose the statistical forecasting functionality, but we would like to keep it as it is fit for purpose and gives very good results.
What is being proposed is that the current APO system linkage be severed from R/3 as the execution will no longer be taking place as SNP an PPDS will be in the new system.
Then we want to set up the remaining APO system as a stand alone client just for Stat F/casting with no linkage with R/3, but linkage for the correct date with interfaces only from non R/3 systems.
From what documentation i have seen so far, it can be done. we just want to know what would be the best procedure to do this and what are the likely problems we will encounter.
Can anyone assist with this.

Nathan, you could get your basis group to break the link between your SCM system and R/3 through deleting rfc connections in SM59.
Of course you'll have to delete integration models on the R/3 side to stop data from being sent to your old APO system. It will cause an outbound queue once the connection is broken.
On the APO side delete you publication settings in SPRO to stop various txn elements from being sent out to the now disconnected R/3 system.
Cleaning up txn data would keep the system neat. Various ways that you can do this.
If all you are using is DP you can set the deletion flag on the product master once all of the txn data is gone and delete materials if you want to stop any processes other than DP being carried out.

How to run a VI at CFP for a stand alone device ?

Dear friends,
I am new to Labview, using CFP 2100. What are the procedures to run/feed a VI into CFP such that it can operate a stand alone device (No PC connected).
Does it need to create an executable file (.exe) or we can directly copy and paste a vi into CFP? if so then where should it be pasted.
Help me even though it might be a very basic query.

Alok,
For a complete standalone app, you will create an Executable for the cFP. You could either create this on your Host (Desktop PC) LabVIEW and FTP it to the cFP (using any FTP client utility). Or, if you are targeted to the cFP and create the EXE, it will automatically download it to /NI-RT/STARTUP folder. Which is where you want it if you want the EXE to run on cFP's startup.
I am pretty sure all this info' is buried somewhere in the documentation (not sure where.. since I never had to read it )

How can i install apple mobile devices as a stand alone install.

I have installed itunes a number of times but apple mobile devices won't install. What can i do?????

The Apple TV is the only device I've been able to find at this point that can handle video via AirPlay. So unless someone else knows of a device I haven't been able to find, you'll either need to get an Apple TV or, as Andreas suggested, connect to the projector via an adapter and cable.

How can I read the complex data for the stand-alone offline time-frequency analyzer, which only accept real data, that is one-column or one row data ?

I have real complex data (i,q data) for the ISAR imaging. I don't have any knowledge of Labview programming. I bought this signal processing toolset to use only stand-alone time-frequency analyzer.

In the LabVIEW functions palette on the block diagram, if you go to Numeric>>Complex you have to VI's that splits a complex number into rectangular or polar components. Click on the help file for those VI's to see the kind of datatypes you can wire to them.

Missing subVI NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi

This is a duplicate post, but the other was a response to a 4 year old posting. I have an application that was originally written in LV 8.x that I have just modified with LV2009. I am now getting the same error reported in this thread, that being "Missing subVI NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi". In the Additional Exclusions section of the Build Specification I unchecked "Remove unused members of project libraries" and "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances", but I am still getting the error. I am not doing anything fancy, I just have a project that has 3 VIs that use Mean.vi. It worked fine in LV8.x, but not after building with LV2009. I even tried replacing each instance with mean.vi, to no avail. Has NI found the root cause of this error?

I found the computer that was originally used for the development of this test and made my changes to the original code. It works OK, but I'd really like to find actual the problem so that I can use my normal development computer for future changes without having to do workarounds like that. If I get a chance I'll give that a try just to see if it would work. Thanks.

Missing subVI NI_AALBase.lvlib:Real A x B.vi in...

I have an application that runs fine in the LabVIEW10 development environment. Then I've created an installer for it (and included the RTE and DAQ installers). However, when I install it on another PC and try to run the executable I get a list of errors that it failed to load VIs from the NI_AALBase.lvlib (see attachment).
How do I make sure my executable (or installer) includes that library?

Hi there.
So I'm wondering two things.
1) When you create the Application (EXE), there is a Category called "Source File Settings." When you go there, and you select "Dependencies," what does the "Inclusion Type" say? It should say "Include if referenced".
2) Also in the project, under "Source Files," have you specified a start-up VI?
3) When you go to your project, and you expand the Dependencies section and then vi.lib, do you see NI_AALBase.lvlib there? It should be if your VIs use those functions. Let me know whether they are there.
4) In the Installer, under Additional Installers, under "NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2010", do you have "Math Kernel Libraries" checked? Those probably have the files you need.

How can multiple vis share data input from a DAQ simutaneously?
Recently I am building a EMG measurement platform and somehow DAQ data need to be shared by several vis at the same time.
Are there any ideas?

If you may need to add/delete tasks that will need th edata you may want to consider a publich/subscribe pattern. Basically your DAQ task will post a message to a single queue. The process listening on this queue (message broker) will determine if there are other processes registered to receive this message. When a device registers for a message it provides a queue to receive it on. The message broker will then post the message to all interested processes. The nice thing about this pattern is that you have dedicated code to handle broadcasting the message and it is very easy at run time to change the number of processes that get the message. The DAQ task will always send the message and will not care how many processes are listening.

Computer with labview runtime engine (v8.2) cannot find sub-VI NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi. What do I have to do?

I am trying to run an exectutable on a computer that has the labview v8.2 runtime engine. The error I am getting is: Cannot find sub-VI NI_AALBase.lvlib:Mean.vi. What is the easiest solution?

I would try reinstalling the LabVIEW 8.2 Run-Time Engine. You may also want to try creating a very simple project in your development environment that has a VI with just the Mean.vi, try building an executable and then running it on the machine that just has the 8.2 RTE.

Error 1097 for NI_AALBase.lvlib: Real Dot Product.vi

Hello,
I have recently upgraded to version 8.2 from version 7.1 (which I thought was superb!).
Anyway, when I transferred my code over to 8.2 I got the following error message:
'An exception occurred within the external node called by a Call Library Function Node. This might have corrupted LabVIEWS's memory. Save any work to a new location and restart LabVIEW.
VI "Myprogram.vi" was stopped at a node " " at a call to "NI_AALBase.lvlib:Real Dot Product.vi:7"
Note that I get similar errors for other vi's that use NI_AALBase.lvlib
I follwo instructions to save in other directory and when I rerun the program all is well, until next time i start up LVIEW when it happens again.
Now I thought that this may be a compatability issue between 7.1 and 8.2 as i did not unistall 7.1 from my machine.
So i have now unistalled all NI software following NI instructions (editing regedit, etc) and I have only installed 8.2, but when i run my program, the error is still there.
I looked up error codes in Labview and found that this is error 1097.
I followed similar post on this website but not really got an answer on how to solve this problem.
Can somwone please help?

thanks for the reply. to answer your questions:
-I installed and uninstalled about 4 times - each time removing all NI components and clearing the registry. Finally checking that all NI components were removed using MSIBLAST.
What i mean by a previous release is that I got sent 2 lots of LVIEW discs for 8.2 - one lot in August and one in November 2006. So what i mean by a previous version I mean the 8.2 discs sent to me in August - same version 8.2 just different discs.
I tried installing on another computer and moving the vi's over - it did not work.
I tried everything! my local NI support engineers did not know where else to go.
Finally yesterday, one of them sent me version 8.2.1 and the problem was solved.
So, it is a bug in the 8.2 version!
