How to burn after installing Mac OS Lion

Hello,
I bought from Apps Store Mac Os Lion and install automatically on my laptop.
This morning I had a problem with my laptop need to put the DVD but I did not have.... I had Snow Leopard.
So, I read just before installation of LION we can burn on the DVD but AFTER Installation HOW can I burn LION on the DVD?
Thank you for your anser
Regards
Jack

You will need to download the installer again because it self destructs after the installation. So, go back to MAS and download again - if necessary, hold down Option key while you click on Purchases and it should let you download. When download is finished, close installer. Go to Applications folder and copy installer to some place safe. After that, you can follow instructions here:

  • Kernel Panic after installing Mac OSX Lion

I have a late 2009, 15" Macbook Pro that I've upgraded to mountain lion about three weeks ago and when I upgraded the first time I kept getting kernel panics like no tommorrow. I used my flash drive which had lion uploaded to it to "downgrade" to lion in case this happens. I also had mountain lion on the flash drive to so I did a clean install of mountain lion through my flash drive. After that, kernel panics still seem to appear. I got frustrated and called apple support, and lets say that after many hours of testing, installing, and configuring that they just told me to simply go to an apple store, which was a two hour drive from Pine Plains, NY to Danbury, CT only to have them reenstall mountain lion (again) through a network. When I finally got it back and tested it for an hour I thought things would be fine... But lo and behold, another kernel panic appeared. I've taken the liberty to track the programs that I've installed and used during the testing as well as the kernel panic that was reoccuring.

I'll try to figure out how to read this as soon as possible, but until then I need your help to solve this problem.

That panic was not caused by third-party software.
If the panic is recurrent, the possibilities are (1) a damaged OS X installation; (2) a hardware fault, which could be internal or in a wired peripheral device; and (3) an obscure bug in OS X.
You can rule out the first possibility by reinstalling the OS. Probably there will be no change. In that case, make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine tested. You may have to leave it there for several days. There isn't much point in doing this unless you can reproduce the panic, or unless it happens often enough that it's likely to be repeated at the store. Otherwise you may be told that nothing is wrong.
Print the first page of the panic report and bring it with you.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you know how to restore, and you have at leasttwo independent backups.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
*An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.

  • How do I copy the Mac OS Lion after upgrading?

How do I copy the Mac OS Lion after upgrading. I upgraded to OS Lion and now I want to do clean install because my macbook became slower since i installed lion.
    Please, help! Thanks.

You need to get on a Snow Leopard system, log into the App Store with your Apple ID, then download the Lion installer. The re-download is free. After the installer is downloaded it will start automatically. Now, quit the installer. You can now make a copy of the installer that you will find in the Applications folder.
Now, you also may be able to get this to work: Open the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key while clicking on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. This is supposed to activate the Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. Clicking the Install button will then re-download the Lion installer.

i guess you could put the aiport utility app on your iphone, click on the aiport express there, it will show you how many devices are connected to it and the mac addresses of those devices.

how can i reboot my mac without lion cd previous owner installed it thru itunes?

Lion is usually installed through the App Store not through iTunes. There is no Lion CD. If you need to perform activities normally requiring an installer DVD, then you do it as follows:
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
This will boot the Recovery HD and present a main menu of options such as Reinstall Lion, Restore a Time Machine backup, and run Disk Utility to repair the hard drive. There are additional options in the Utilities menubar item.

Ah, you didn't read the fine print on installing Lion, did you? None of your old software will run in Lion.
    You have two choices:
    A) Buy all new or updated software
    B) Partition the hard drive and install an older version of OSX to run your older apps.
You did not give us any idea of what PowerPC apps you were running, so additional options:
    C)  Restore to Snow Leopard
    D)  Install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta which runs PowerPC apps) in Parallels 7 in Lion:

If you mean the "no entry" sign, a circle with a slash through it, then you need to reinstall Mountain Lion.
Boot into the Recovery HD by holding down cmd-r at startup tone until gray screen.
    From there, reinstall Mountain Lion.

I had the exact same issue; Lion recovery from Command + R would hang with the logs showing the same message.  To resolve, I used Disk Utility to remove the recovery partition.  My Air then used Internet Recovery to load all the tools.  When using Reinstall via Internet it worked just fine.

I want to buy MBA i5, I would like to free disk space of MBA 13" i5, Could anyone tell it to me? Thanks
As you're buing a new MacBook Air, it will come pre-installed with Lion.  The actual installation will be somewhat larger than a "clean" Lion install as it will come with iLife preinstalled.  Obviously, with an Air's limited storage space, you want to be sure that you have enough room for any applications and data that you'll want to keep on the SSD as well.  It is fairly easy to upgrade the SSD on an Air:
    http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/SSD/OWC/Aura_Pro_Express
The amount of RAM you have installed is probably more important.  Fortunately, the newest 13" MacBook Airs all come with 4GB standard now.

I'm having problems with my internet connection after installing OS X Lion. Is this a known problem or just a local problem?
After +/- 10 to 15min my connection is gone.
    Does anyone have a sollution?

Lots of people are having the same problem, you're not the only one, belieeeeve me.
Just Googling the problem gets you tons of people complaining about the same thing, SOMETHING is up with Lion what wasn't happening with Snow Leopard. i just bought a new Imac and it CAME with Lion, so i started experiencing this internet dropout immediately.
It's been going on for the most of a year it looks like (at least by the dates from the threads i've been reading)
So your best bet is to fiddle with the System Preferences and read what other people have used to make theirs work. i'm doing that myself right now.  I already posted  a similar thread last night trying to figure out why my connection kept on dropping, i got a reply which linked me to a site. i followed the instructions there, so far so good, but i'm just being cautiously optimistic.
i'm gonna call Apple today and see if they've found anything, though seeing as this is a problem right out of the box there may not be an immediate solution. Good luck hunting for a solution :3

  • Troubel whit installing Mac os Lion, cant innstall osLion on this machine because no recovery

How do I install mac os lion? get the fault message cant insall mac os on this machine. no recovery

What to do if the installer warns that no Recovery HD can be created
Some disk partition configurations may result in the OS X Lion installer reporting that it could not create a Recovery HD. In these situations, even if you are permitted to continue the install, you should quit the install and create an external, bootable OS X Lion hard drive with a Recovery HD, first. You will be able to return to the upgrade to OS X Lion on your computer's boot drive after creating the external Recovery HD.
    Important notes
Your storage device must have at least 13 GB available (after formatting) to install Lion and an Internet Restore partition.
These steps will erase and reformat the storage device. This article will instruct you on setting up the storage device to use the GUID partition scheme and the Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format, which are required to install Lion and an Internet Restore partition on your external storage device. You should back up any important files that are on the device to a different drive.
This procedure will install a version of the OS X Lion that is compatible with the Mac it was created with. Using this Lion system with a different kind of Mac may produce unpredictable results.
Your computer's serial number will be sent to Apple to help authenticate your request to download and install OS X Lion.

I also was concerned about the early reports of 10.7 altering the Boot Camp partition id. I took The hatters advice and used the cloning method on two different MBPs (Vista & Win 7) with no problems at all.
FYI, below I have provided the steps I used to accomplish this process.
Use Yasu and Diskwarrior to prepare the existing Mac OSX 10.6.8 HDD partition.
Clone or update by smart clone to an ext HDD with SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.
Restart from the cloned ext HDD and select it as the startup volume via System Preferences / Startup Disk.
Install 10.7 Lion on the cloned ext HDD
Install Lion 10.7.2 update on the ext HDD
Restart the OSX 10.7 ext HDD and test and adjust the preferences if needed.
When satisfied, clone the OSX 10.7 ext HDD back to the existing Mac HDD.
The Boot Camp partition will not be altered as to drive id which appeared to cause problems for a few people.
The recovery partition will be on the ext HDD and can be used for trouble shooting.
A more convenient way to have the recovery/reinstallation environment is to create a Lion install USB thumb drive.

    PART 2
It is very hard to just wreck a BC Partition. You can wipe the whole drive (Disk Utility) or you can erase it using BC Assistant (from your Mac Side). Otherwise it pretty much never happens. You say that you are un-tutored in BC, well HERE is your tutorial http://www.askdavetaylor.com/how_do_i_install_windows_xp_on_my_mac_using_boot_ca mp_1.html
Lion is the most work-intensive OSX that Apple has ever released, (just in case you have not heard) so if you hate learning how stuff works, and how to fix software problems then you need to read these forums a LOT to see if Lion is a good choice for you....

Often, you have to download updated vendor software drivers when you switch operating systems. HP doesn't list a C5500 on their web site, however, here's the link to the OS X 10.6 C5540 software.  If you have one of the other C55xx models, look for the updated driver/scan software on their software/driver download section of HP.Com.
