How to buy a single Print with iPhoto '09. I can't find the order option.

Hi,
as it is stated on the "Options + Prices" on Apple's website you should be able to print single prints in the various sizes as it is shown here "Prints Right from iPhoto, you can order professionally printed color prints in the most popular sizes — from handy 4x6-inch prints to huge 20x30-inch posters."

But WHERE and HOW can I do that? I can't find it anywhere neither in iPhoto 09 nor in Aperture 2.1.4

Select the photo(s) and click order prints in the tool bar

The same way you would sync with any other version of iTunes.
Connect the device.
Select the device.
Select Sync.
In the new version of iTunes, the sidebar is disabled by default. With a device connected, it will be listed in the upper right hand corner.
If you want the side bar back, type Cntrl + S.

Use the media browser. In every open/attach window in tithe lower left hand corner under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

The profiles are there, but they only display and are only available for raw images. The image that you are highlighting is either a JPEG or some other non--raw file format. The only profile available for non-raw images is the embedded profile.

Qosmio F10 with replaced mainboard: Where can I find the right drivers?

Hello guys,
Toshiba service replaced the board with a new one including a geforce 6600 gpu on my F10. So, now I formated the laptop and I want to put again back everything to work. But I see now that there are some different devices, like the 6600go gpu.
Where can i find the drivers (lan, chipset, modem..etc.) On the toshiba web site? If i choose qosmio F10 downloads, I get the drivers for the old motherboard (and graphics card 5700).
Anyone knows where to get the right drivers? thanks!

If you haven't restarted your computer for a while, do so. Sometimes cache files get mangled and begin expanding rapidly. A few weeks ago my iMac went from more than 500GB free to less than 20GB free in a short period of time. I knew that wasn't possible but also knew that I'd not shutdown or rebooted in over a month. After the reboot the disk was back to its normal usage and I've not seen a repeat.
If that doesn't do it, check out macupdate.com for programs such as DaisyDisk and Omni DiskSweeper to examine your drive contents. Media files (movies, digital photos, and songs) are the mostly likely culprits for taking up space.

If you have lion and iPhoto '11 (latest version is 9.2.1) you can set up and turn on iCloud there and if you have IOS 5 on your mobile then your mobile devices will sync with your Mac

I have just purchased a macbook pro. I downloaded two sd cards, one via lightroom 4 and the other via iPhoto. I can't find the latter card when I try to import via LR4. In fact i can't find it at all unless i open iPhoto. where is it?

I tried to import the SD card via iPhoto into Lightroom 4 but could not find it. I tried to find this "folder"? via other means with no success. however when I open iPhoto, there it is, so it must be on the Hard Drive somwhere??? I am new to Apple having decided to jump ship from Windows. Would be grateful for any help.

iPhoto is a - like Lightroom - Photo Manager. It's a database. Like any db to get data out you have to export it.
File -> Export
and in this case set the Kind to Original.
iPhoto is a $15 app, LR is somewhat more expensive. As they both want to manage the photos there's no good usage scenario where you use both. Pick one horse and ride, essentially.

After installing iPhoto '08 I can't find the majority of my pictures

With the old '06 I had over 8K pictures, after I have installed '08 I have just over 1,000.
My wife is going to kill me if I can't get these back.
I use timemachine and am sure they are in there, but before the upgrade.
I could use some help here, and FAST!!
I have looked in the pictures folder under iPhoto and it has the same ones I can see in iPhoto. I don't know where else to look.

When I try to restore the pictures using Timemachine, it ask me if I want to replace the existing photos. If I am right that means they are on the computer, but where?

No there is nothing you have to configure. With iPhoto 7 (iLife 08) the old iPhoto Library Folder is now a Unix Style Package File. The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves.
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.

To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto. Also, with Mail in 10.5, you can access the library from the New Message window:

If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
All of these are faster and safer than surfing the old iPhoto Library Folder.

The backup to disk option was removed as of iTunes 10.4. If you want to back up your tracks to a CD, you can as a workaround put the tracks in a playlist and then use the Burn Playlist to Disk command and select a data disk as the format. If you want to back up your tracks to a DVD now, you'll need to use other software. Unless your library is pretty small, though, it's probably a lot more effective to just copy the entire iTunes folder to an external hard drive or USB flash drive.
