I got my ipone4S from USA about a year back. 2 days back just found my wifi button got greyed and it not working since then even after restroring my said phone.
I had spoken with Apple customer care in India & also visited to authorised service centers. After evaluating my phone, they all are saying that its not a software problem & its a hardware problem. Above that my phone is also heating up like anything. I am afraid it may not burst anyday and brings our lives in to danger.
Can i replace my iPhone 4S Wireless antenna in India and get my phone again in working condition & how to resolve this heating problem.
Pls suggest.

The iPhone is not user servicable. There are no legitimate sources for iPhone parts. All iPhone parts you will be able to find are either counterfeit, stolen, or salvaged from other iPhones. Your phone can not be serviced at any authorized servicer outside of the US. Either take it back to the US or send it to someone you know there to take it in to Apple and have it replaced.

Ok I think this might be a solution. I also noticed some dark smudges on my gold iPhone 6's antennas, though I'm not sure if it was from dye from my jeans. These dark smudges wouldn't come off with other household cleaners, like rubbing alcohol. Anyway, then I used a pencil eraser and rubbed it all over these dark smudges and they rubbed off! I'm not kidding, the pencil eraser got rid of all the dye, and the antennas look clean and new again! Try it, see if it may work for you!

Iphones sold by Apple in the UK are unlocked although I do not know about if that remains the case if it is shipped overseas.
There is a section on the Apple order form where a UK resident can purchase an unlocked phone and have it shipped as a gift to someone overseas.

Sorry but no. US iPhones are locked to AT&T; no unlocked iPhones are available.
There are countries in which unlocked iPhones are sold. But you need to be aware that any such iPhone will not be supported in Belarus. You would not get any help from Apple in using the iPhone with any Belarus carrier, and if the iPhone had a technical fault you would need to ship the iPhone to someone back in the country of purchase for servicing. Apple would not accept a direct shipment from Belarus and would not ship the repaired iPhone back to Belarus, so you would have to know someone in the country of purchase who could handle the shipment both ways for you.
So think very hard before you purchase an iPhone from another country. If any problems arise you will in essence be on your own to solve the problem.

An iPhone purchased in the USA can only be used with an AT&T SIM. You cannot place the SIM of another network in it. It will not work. The price of $199 for the 16GB iPhone 3G S and $299 for the 32GB version is with a 2 year contract with AT&T.
You will be better served purchasing the phone in Italy where it would be available to be used with a SIM from any network.

So first off, I should probably apologize as this answer has most likely been posted (albeit probably in pieces) and I am a tad confused at what to do, as I feel my situation is somehwat specific:
I am currently working in the Netherlands, but in three months I will move back to the US to start a new job there. I am on a Dutch contract for the remaining three months, and I have my own phone, but that phone quit working, so I'm looking to buy an iPhone 5s. I feel like I have a few options, but it boils down to the following questions:
- If I get the $649 unlocked iPhone at the Apple Store somewhere next week (while I am in the US), take it home can I still insert my Dutch SIM? (I believe so... as long as it supports the right bands)
- When I return to the US for my new job, I'd have to find a plan.. Would I get a discounted monthly rate now that I have my own iPhone? Or would it be more efficient to get an on-contract iPhone with one of the providers right away? But what do I do with my plan/phone while I am in the Netherlands? Can I still pull out the SIM and put in a Dutch one?
Basically, what is the most efficient (economically speaking): to buy an unlocked phone now and get a (discounted) plan in three months? Or to get a plan right away (if there is some way to use it abroad with a foreign provider)?

I would strongly recommend you wait until you're back in the US to purchase an iPhone. You would not be able to get an iPhone purchased in the Netherlands serviced in the US, nor would it work on LTE with the US carriers. If you still need a cellphone for the time you have remaining in the Netherlands, buy a cheap pay-as-you go phone.
