How to calculate predictions using an MVAR model

Hi All,
I'm using an MVAR model (Least Squares). The AR VI in the Advanced signalprocessing toolbox calculates the regressionparameters and returns the noise that is not acounted for by the MVAR model.
However I need the estimations too... So I tried to subtracting the noise from the original data. Can somebody please confirm that this approach returns the correct estimations from my MVAR model?

ALV Grid( How to calculate percentage) using alv gridfunctional module.

Dear Gurus,
In my report first coulmn and second column are sales and margin but third coulmn is margin%. now at last of report i want to display total sales and total margin and overall margin percentage. I am able to do total of sales and margin by using standard functionality of grid. I need to know to calculate overall percentage. I am not using alv oops method . I am using fucntional modules .

Percentage calculation in ALV
The following method is a bit of a mission but it
seems to be the only way around this at the moment.
Also it only works with an ALV Grid not an ALV List.
You have to take over the total lines manually.
1. In the ALV output tab add extra fields that are the
same as those on which you are sorting and contain the
same values.
2. In the Field Catalog you must add these fields but
they must be hidden i.e. no_out = 'X'.
3. These fields must be included in the Sort Catalog
with subtot = 'X'.
4. In order to handle the final total line in your
layout for the ALV you must set field no_totalline'X' because you are going to be taking this over as
well.
5. Create a form called SUBTOTAL_TEXT or similar
structured as follows:
form subtotal_text using ep_subtot_line like
output_tab
es_subtottxt type
slis_subtot_text.
In this form you will do the percentage calculation
again at total level. The structure ep_subtot_line
will contain a field for each of the fields in your
output_tab i.e. ep_subtot_line-sales,
ep_subtot_line-cost and ep_subtot_line-margin. Put the
margin calculation into ep_subtot_line-margin.
6. In the eventtab that you pass to the ALV_GRID
function module you must create a record with the
field name = 'SUBTOTAL_TEXT' and the field form = the
name of the form you created in step 5 above.
This works OK.

How to calculate Average using Dimension Formulas or Default Logic

I am trying to calculate the average without success. Do you know how I can Achieve the following? :
We have multiple u201Cofficesu201D in the ENTITY dimension that fall under a Region. Let´s say 400+ offices under 20 Regions
For example:
Region1
   Office A
   Office B
Region2
   Office C
   Office D
   Office E
We have an Account named 'SalesUnits', and I am looking to get an Average Sales by Region and then be able to compare one Office against the Average of the REGION it belongs to.
So If I have:
                            Sales Units
Office C                   20
Office D                   10
Office E                   15
Average of Region 2 would be 201015/3 =15
But the number of office is variable, Sometimes I can have more offices.
So I will have to count the number of offices that belongs to that region.
I need this average so every office can compare their sales against the Region Average.
Do you know how I can do this? I have tried some MDX syntax but without sucess.

Hi Anna,
This will need to be done in Dimension logic as I assume, you;'d like to have the average up the region heirarchy.
I'd suggest having 3 accounts for this
ID .....................................FORMULA
SALES_UNITS...................
OFFICE_COUNT.................1
UNITS_AVEREAGE............SALES_UNITS/OFFICE_COUNT
The formula bit, goes in the formula column. When look at office count against the region heirarchy, it will sum up the 1's thereby giving you the denominator for the formula and you'll get the avereage up the region heirarchy.

I have collected a lot of electroencephalogram data, which looks like a continuous sine wave plus a noise signal. what i want to do now is to fit the data with the bilinear model as the attached jpg file. the problem is the parameters of the model are changing with the evolution of the signal. would someone like to tell me how to calculate the parameters in the bilinear model?

I can point you in the right direction, but probably not answer your question really well. If you have the pro or full distribution of LabVIEW, you can use the curve fitting VIs to match any set of data to a theoretical curve. The curve fitting Express VI may do all you need to do (use the nonlinear option). To get the signal evolution, break your data into pieces and process each. If you need to average a bit, you can use a sliding window of your data for each analysis, moving the window less than the window width for each analysis.
There are a plethora of curve fitting techniques built into LabVIEW - matrix operations, linear and log linear fits, Levenberg-Marquardt methods, downhill simplex, etc. You will probably need to experiment a bit to get a stable
algorithm for your case. Check your literature for ways other people have done this. There may be an easy, stable method out there.
If you are unfamiliar with curve fitting techniques, or you do not have the pro or full versions of LabVIEW, I would recommend "Numercial Recipes in C" by Press et. al., published by Cambridge University Press. The chapter on Modeling of Data will get you going. The rest of the book will provide any background you need.
This was a very general answer. If you need something more specific, let me know. Be aware that this type of problem usually requires some trial and error to get right. The answers should be tightly scrutinized before being believed.

Browsing on internet I found that Grass Valley Company produces this converter http://www.amazon.co...=A17MC6HOH9AVE6 ..but I am not sure -not even after checking the amazon reviews- if this device will send the video signal through firewire to my laptop, in order to live streaming properly? ..anyone in this forum could help me please?

I can't broadcast with the built in iSight webcam... how would I zoom in or zoom out? or how would I pan? I've seem people doing it walking with their laptops but that's not an option for me... there's nothing wrong with my USB ports but that's neither an option to stream video because as far as I know through USB you can't connect video in apple operating systems ..you can for sure plug any video cam or photo camera through usb but as a drive to transfer data not as a live video camera... is by firewire an old interface developed by apple that you can connect all sorts of cameras to apple computers... unfortunately my new sony HDR-AX2000 camcorder doesn't have firewire output...

How to use a menu model with a dynamic region and a task flow parameter

I am using JDeveloper/ADF 11.1.2.1
I have a menu model that changes which task flow is displayed in a given dynamic region using a backing bean. That works fine. I would like to be able to pass parameters to that task flow based on which menu item is clicked. For example: i have a task flow which shows a page where input fields are used to filter a table. Depending on the value of the task flow parameter I want to change which input fields are displayed. So i will have multiple menu items which refer to the same task flow but have a different set of parameters. I have tried using request scope variables and setting them in the backing bean for the dynamic region which works until the query is submitted at which point the request scope has changed and the value is no longer available. I have tried a number of other 'creative' approaches but have not gotten anything to work. Anyone done this before? Or have an idea on how to solve it?

I did a fair bit of digging based on your suggestions and some things I found in your Oracle Fusion Developer's Guide book and I came up with something that works really well. It is fairly elegant but requires code. It would be nice if something like a setPropertyListener could be rolled into the menu model. That would make my solution completely declarative.
Here is my solution:
My task flow requires a the value #{pageFlowScope.type} to be set. My application has a dynamic region that is changed on the fly using a menu model. The region uses a backing bean (mainRegionManagerBean) which is in the viewScope to manage what taskflow is shown in the region. There are multiple menu items in the menu model that point to the same task flow but pass different values to the #{pageFlowScope.type} parameter. So i wired the menu items up to different methods in the mainRegionManagerBean which set the value for me. See the relevant code below.
I would be very interested in the feedback from someone with more experience than I on my solution. Maybe there is a more elegant way...
In the backing bean there is a primary method that was created by generating a dynamic region link which sets the task flow id and then other methods which call it and set the relevant parameters. (JSFUtils is a helper class i wrote to centralize some common tasks):

The Webservice takes in 2 input String Arrays , say, Str_Arr1[] and Str_Arr2[] and returns a string output , say Str_Return.
I am consuming this WebService in WebDynpro Java using WEB SERVICE MODEL. (NWDS 04).

I have a BAPI ZBAPI that has a tables parameter ZPernr of type ZTable with two elements pernr and name.
I used adaptive RFC model and created model classes for the BAPI.
My question how do i set list of pernr and name to the tables parameter in the webdynpro for java.
I have the following methods available
ZBAPI input = new ZBAPI();
1.ZTable table = new ZTable();
table.setPernr(pernr);
table.setname(name);
input.addZPernr(table);
how do i set the table parameter for multiple pernr and name
2.
add all the pernr and name to list and set that list to input in the following way
input.setZPernr(list) and list of typecom.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core. AbstractList
out of two methods mentioned which one is correct.

Sorry, if this reply seems like a products plug (which it is), but this is really how we solve this software engineering challenge at JKI...
At JKI, we create VI Packages (which are basically installers for LabVIEW instrument drivers and toolkits) of our reusable code (using the package building capabilities of VIPM Professional). We keep a VI Package Configuration file (that includes a copy of the actual packages) in each of our project folders (and check it into source code control just as we do for all our project files). We also use VIPM Enterprise to distribute new VI Packages over the network.
Also, as others have mentioned, we use the JKI TortoiseSVN Tool to make it easy to use TortoiseSVN directly from LabVIEW.
