I would like to find the frequency of the number of the occurences of a search string in a row which is of type of xmltype content.
For ex: I would like to find the frequency of the word "oracle" in a row which is of type xmltype content.
Is there any fuction called frequency or freq...

i have made a virtual instrument in labview that acquire data (say sine wave) into a spreadsheet file and also on the chart from the function generator. I measured the frequency of the data from the chart but it is coming out to be very less. How can i calculate the frequency of the plotted sine wave and also from the spreadsheet file.

If you want to get an idea of the base-frequency of an periodic signal, you can measure the number of samples in between two maxima or in between two minima of the periodic signal.
Multiply the number of samples by the sample-interval (1/Fsample in [sec]) gives you a rough estimate.
FFT, I mentioned is one of the more advanced calculation-methods.
The method calculates the spectrum from a waveform.

An FFT (or Power Spectrum) will tell you all of the fundamental frequencies of your signal. This is pretty easy and there are functions in LabVIEW to do this. However, since you are only trying to determine the frequency of one square wave mixed with many sine waves, you can just look at the first dirivitive of the signal (dS/dt) and look for discontinuities (dS/dt = +/- Inf). This discontinuity is only due to the square wave signal component. Find the frequency of the discontinuities of the first dirivitive and you have your answer.

Wondering if Is there a way to limit the frequency of the "autosaving drafts" feature in Mac Mail on Lion?
Looked all thru preferences and googled the crap out of this and can't seem to find the answer I want.
Basically, I have my mailbox behaviors set up exactly the way I want them. (ie deleted messages get saved to my "Trash" folder on the server) I do not think I should have to change them, but because of the autosave feature saving almost every 3 characters typed, I have an over abundance of versions saved in my Trash folder. This problem would be solved were there a preference somewhere I could select to save drafts "manually only" or "opened messages save when quitting" or something along those lines.
Is this a preference setting already that I am missing?
I would settle for a rule, just not sure what perameters should be set for this to work.

How to generate a pwm whose duty cycle has to be varied depending on the frequency of the input trigger??

Sir/madam,
I am quite new to the Labview FPGA module.
I am currently working on an application where i have to generate a pwm to control the ON time duration . The pwm ON time depends on the frequency of an input signal.I want to retrieve the ON time value from a lookup table which contain the duty cycle values for the pwm at different frequencies of the input.This input also has to work as a trigger. The input is pulsed and the trigger has to generate the pwm at every rising edge. I am using a PCI 7831R- RIO series. I am urgently in need of some help and i have hardly a couple of weeks before i meet the deadline.
I am trying hard to learn the basics from the shipping examples but not able to quite make my vi work.
Kindly lend a helping hand and i would be very grateful to anybody who can help. Thanks a lot in advance.

How do you measure frequency using the onboard counter on PCMCIA 6024-E

I am using LABView 6.1 and NI-DAQ 7.2 with a SCXI-1000 chassis and a PCMCIA 6024-E on a laptop. I need to measure a frequency of about 3KHz and would like to do that using an 1180 direct through connector.
Firstly, should I see this 1180 in MAX like any other module?
And secondly, how do I use this 6024-E card to measure frequency? Which pins are supposed to be used on it to measure, and will I see the counter run in the test window in MAX according to the frequency measured?
I know NI also have a frequency module for the SCXI chassis. So lastly, will it be better to use that, rather than measure directly off the 6024-E?
Any help, advise or comments will be greatly appreciated!

I think I can help out with some of your questions. First, the 1180 module won�t show up in MAX since it is really just a feedthrough cable which allows you access to your unused signals from the DAQ card.
You definitely can measure frequency using your 6024E. An example installs with NI-DAQ 7.2 which shows how to accomplish this. To access this example go to the LabVIEW start up screen and hit the Find Example button. When the Example Finder opens up browse to the following location: Hardware Input and Output -> DAQ -> Counters -> DAQ-STC -> Measure Frequency (DAQ-STC).vi
This example measures frequency and has a connection diagram on the front panel. The documentation for the example can be accessed by going to File -> VI properties -> Document

You are correct that we offer a frequency input module for SCXI (SCXI-1126). This module would be useful if your input voltages are non-TTL, or if you need to measure more than one channel of frequency signals. This module has an input range of +/- 250Vrms and 8 input channels.

the rest are the same ie - delivery, billing, payment is from the party to whom we have delivered, billed, and paid.

how to calculate that commission.
hint: we hav to think from Partner Determination Procedure perspective and requesting to find a solution for that.

How to calculate a date in the future and set it as field value?

I'm trying to set the value of a read-only field to a date and time 72 hours from the current date and time. Here's how I'm doing it now:
var futureInMilliseconds = new Date().getTime() + 259200000; // current date and time + 72 hours in milliseconds
field.value = new Date(futureInMilliseconds);
The field is formatted as "m/d/yyyy h:MM tt". When I test this in the debugger I see it listing the correct date and time in the future, but the value applied to the field is always the current date and time. So, I'm having a difficult time getting this to work for something that should be fairly straight forward and simple. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Even if this script is placed at the document level or any other location, it is still a calculation. It just not a field Custom Calculation Script. You are adding one value to another to get a new value.

How to calculate start date of the week based on week number ?

i need to get week number of the current date and based on that i need to calculate start date falling in the same week for last year.
Eg. today is 31st week of year and 31st july date. so what will be the date on the 31st week of last year. i need the start date of that week.
we can calculate the week number by select to_char(sysdate,'ww') from dual.
DO we have a single line query for that or will it require writing a pl/sql block ?

With your VI it could be possible configure the amplitude and frequency of your harmonics directly through the equation you input to the f(t) generation VI.
Here is an additionnal code you could use to simulated a mutliple harmonics signal.

Can I use any GSM sim on iPhone 6 if the frequency matches the phone correctly?

I'm from Pakistan and I want to buy an iPhone 6 but I'm confused which one should I get. If I get an iPhone 6 unlocked will it work with my GSM network as long as the frequency of network matches what the iPhone 6 requires?

I know 1 is not possible because the data plan is required, and the iPhone cannot be activated without one (on AT&T). You would have to re-activate it, it's not as simple as popping in a new SIM. You might have to get a new SIM from AT&T as well, as the iPhone may not activate with the WM SIM installed.
2 and 3 are possible. You can separate songs into playlists and sync certain playlists, and select certain apps in the library to sync. Email, contacts, and calendars are a little more complicated to sync to 2 different iPhones unless different programs are being used by each of you or each person's stuff is separated into different groups (just like playlists).

How to display each character of an input string in different rows

I want to write a SQL or PL/SQL where in I can separate and display each character of an input string into multiple rows.
For eg, the input string is TESTING, I want the result to be displayed as following:

2 E
3 S
4 T
5 I
6 N
7 G
I know we can use substr, but it returns me only one or more than one characters consecutively.
Please help me get the desired output.

How to detect peak frequencies in the frequency domain?

Hello,
I have built a small test program consisting of two sine waves of variable frequencies, there sum is found and subsequently FFT is performed on it to find the two peak frequencies. I have been trying to somehow display the values of these two frequencies but I just can't find a way.
I searched the forum before posting the question, many of them suggested using the Extract Multiple Tone Information VI which I tried and couldn't get any results.
I have attached my file. Please have a look. If you know any threads on the forum directly related to my problem, please just cite it.

I would like to calculate a frequency in the Dutch version of Numbers where the "frequency" command does not exist. Suggestions?

I am trying to do a Histogram in Numbers using the formula: = INDEX( FREQUENCY (....;....) ....).
However, I am using the Dutch version where the command "FREQUENCY" doesn't exist.
The litteral translation would be "FREQUENTIE" but there is nothing like it that fits the description.

Yvan Koenig has produced a table of function name equivalents. According to his table, the Dutch equivalent of FREQUENCY is INTERVAL.
