How to call images in a content area by http

Hi,
How can I call images (somewhere in the middle of the text) using http, instead of using "IMAGE_PREFIX". Usually I can't copy files to the image folder so I need to do that using the portal!

If you're asking about compressing the files in the repository, or adding a bunch of items to a zip file, neither of these features are currently available.
You would have to download the files, add them to a zip on the desktop, and then upload the new zip file.

Are you using Forms 6i in client/server mode or web deployed? I'm not sure what you mean by 'try on server application"
Remember that when using a web deployed architecture, a host command will execute the command on the Forms application server, NOT on the client.
To execute host commands on the client you would have to use WebUtil, but that's not available for Forms 6i. Perhaps there are PJC's out there that can do it for you, but I don't want to get in all those details without me knowing if it is relevant for you.

Reusing images within a content area

I have uploaded images into a content area with intent to reuse them within the same content area in different folders. However, I have been unsuccessful.
How do I reuse an already uploaded image? Ex: I want to display a logo in each folder without having to upload the same image for each folder.

It's not possible to reuse an image in the item image attribute in 3.0.x. This is supported in Portal Release 2, scheduled for release on Solaris by the end of April 2002.

Iview calls new Page on Content Area

Hello Everybody,
I have a Page with 3 Iviews on it, and would like that an Iview call a new Page.
Wich means, I have Iview 1,2,3 on Page A and if you trigger a link on of these Iviews a new Page B should be loaded.
All I got is that the Page loaded in the Iview itself. Is there an opportunity to change that behavior, to call a Page B from an Iview that reloads the content area with a Page B?

Hi Le,
What exactly do you want to modify. The Desktop inner page consists of your detailed navigation and the <b>Content Area</b> iview. The content area iview renders all the iviews, pages and whatever you add to your roles.
So do you want to change the layout of this section or something else?

You can filter the PCD object setting the Search Layout Set of your Searc Iview.
In System Admin > System Configuration > Content Management > User Interface > Settings > Layout Set and duplicate the "SearchResultLayoutSet" layout set.
Then you have to duplicate its Collection Renderer "StandardSearchResultRenderer".
In its property "Resource Types to be Filtered" set as value "-http://sap.com/xmlns/pcd/app/iview".
Then assign the new Collection Renderer to the new Layout Set and that's it!
Now if yuor Search Iview uses this new Layout Set, when you search a PCD object the iviews will not be shown!
(or)
In the entry "Predefined Properties" of the search options set, you will need to enter "resourcetype(value=http://sap.com/xmlns/pcd/app/page/default)" if you want the search to be limited to resources defined as pages. Leave out /default if you dont want the end user to be able to change the filter.

How can a user upload/download doc to a specific folder? Should this functionality be implemented by us or does

You can specify privileges on the folder based on users/groups. I am not sure I understand "I need to restrict its access just only to add element-"
Are you trying to ensure that people can upload docs, but not make any style changes ? Right now, if you can add a document
, then you can also delete it.

I have found that one way to do that upload is through 'add element' -->file item in the content area.
We have a group-defined structure and I need to restrict its access just only to add element--> Is it possible?If so, how?
What are the privileges I have to set to allow a user to add elements in a content area? At this moment we have:
* In the content area access tab : user X-->Administer
*iN THE page's content area, acces tab-->Manage
If this userX connects and tries to edit the content area--> add element, the item list shows no value it4s in empty. What
else steps should I follow.

How to disable category link in content area

Hi,
I have a lots of categories in a content area. As u all know, a link appears for all categories in the category header.
Clicking that will take you to that particular category.
I do not want to have that link. I have tried what was mentioned in earlier question to disable portlet header link.

How to enlarge and centralise the 'Content Area' in an Office 365 webpage

Hi, I'm relatively new to O365 and I'm working on our webpage
The issue I have is that you have the Content Area but that seems to be about 1/2 an inch in from the left hand screen and only covers approx. 75% of the screen, what I want is the content area to be about 1000pixels wide and centralised.
I've tried looking at the CSS style sheet but there doesn't seem to be anything that helps me to do either of the above tasks.
Any help would greatly be appreciated, thanks.

We have a lot of documents in a content area, and every day the number of documents is going up. The question is, if we can zip these documents or something similar.

How to call image

Hi,
I have uploaded some images in apex to use that in my application now i want to call them in certain area's where i would require i am using to call a image in a navigation bar region the image name in home.png i am getting the image name in the Image Attributes list but when i run the application was not able to find the image on the application how to resolve this please suggest

I am having a similar problem. I placed it on apex.oracle.com. The workspace is ROBWORK and the application is Mini Profile. I set up an image for "Info" on the navigation bar. I used '#IMAGE_PREFIX#menu/info_32.gif' for the image. IMAGE_PREFIX is set the virtual directory '/i/' which is the images directory under APEX. Why isn't the image showing. If you don't mind, I'll email you the User Name/Password but you can see the results immediately since the page is public.

Your del is Local Variable, it can't be accessed out of the if statement. you need to declare it as global variable like below. And if you want to collect the string, you could use the List to collect, not a string. the string will be split to chars

How to call a BAPI when there are structure tables as Input.

Environment: Data Services 3.1 SAP ECC 6.
I can run simple BAPI's where I just populate the Input Parameters.
My question is around more complex BAPI's.
I created a data flow that looks like:
Row Generation > Query > Unnest Query > Template table.
Inside of the query I created a new Function and called the BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN.
This BAPI requires adding data as part of the Structure Tables in the BAPI. I see these tables in the SAP Data Store and I also see a single input field in the Data Services Function Wizard that desribes the Structure.
My question is - how do I populate the fields when it comes from a Structure Table in the BAPI?

A table parameter is a schema, so you need an upfront query where you create that schema with the nested data. The schema is then mapped to the table parameter, the columns of the schema have to match by name.

Placing an image in a tabbed panel content area, it shows up on all three panels

This is crazy. It should be so simple. But sometimes this happens to me. Like today.
I have many pages that use a simple tabbed panel feature with three tabs.
Each content area has a text frame and an image frame.
Sometimes when I try to place an image into the content area of the first tab, the image shows up on all three content areas. I have tried and tried placing the image, making very sure I am in the "content area" on not just on the page. But nevertheless, the image seems to be "stuck" on the page, in front of the accordian feature, and therefore showing on all three tabs.
How am I not targeting the placement of those images correctly? There just aren't that many options for me to screw up, it's a simple tabbed panel, that's all!

Are you using the latest version of Muse/Air?
The borders of the Content Area of a tab gets highlighted as soon as you drag over an element over it so it is very unlikely that something like this could happen. However, I believe it could be due to messed up Layers configuration as the only way I could reproduce this problem is through moving the image into a layer above a layer that contains the Tabbed panel or in case of just one layer, you might have the image at the very top.
