How to call keys CTRL+P in WebDynpro Java
Hi,
I'm trying to print a html document into Web Dynpro but for me it's very difficult cause is a dinamically content with a lot of text. So I would like when a push the button print call the keys CTRL+P. It's possible?
Thanks and sorry for my English!
It's possible and how?
This the solution.... One hour after I find the solution.
public void onActionPrint(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent )
//@@begin onActionPrintEncuestaPDF(ServerEvent)
try{
Robot robot = new Robot();
//CTRL+P
robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_CONTROL );
robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_P );
robot.keyRelease(KeyEvent.VK_CONTROL );
robot.keyRelease(KeyEvent.VK_P );
//Alt+U
robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_ALT );
robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_U );
robot.keyRelease(KeyEvent.VK_ALT );
robot.keyRelease(KeyEvent.VK_U );
//ENTER
robot.keyPress(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER);
robot.keyRelease(KeyEvent.VK_ENTER );
catch(Exception e){ }
Thanks

How call key Function in WEB Dynpro Java?
Hi,
Somebody know how to call key Function(F1, F2, ... F12) in WEB Dynpro Java to launch and Event?
Thanks in advance.Hi,
You can WDHotKey property to define the different keyboard shortcuts to enable the user to trigger events with key combinations.
When the user presses the key board shortcut defined as the hotkey then onAction event is triggered.
The keys F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, F8 and F9 are not supported, they call predefined functions provided by the Web Dynpro Framework.
The complete list of supported shortcuts is here:

How to call a shell script from a java code
Hello can any one suggest me how to call a shell script from a java program that takes three parameters.
i have a shell script (msp_restore_gui) when i run this script in the command line in a RHEL5 ,SUSE10 and Debian machine it works fine .I even tested to call it from a java program and it also worked fine but when i used the same in a J2ee application where the user when clicks the restore button in a webserver this inturn sends the request to a java file named BackupManager.java where i call the shell script.But here it fails.Waiting for your suggestions.If you want i can put the code also hereyes the script is in /usr/local/mss/tools/backup and the script (msp_restore_gui) is as follows

How to call two RFC in a single JAVA method.
Dear all,
I just want to know that how to call two RFC in a single java method which is defined in CRM implementation file. I'm using NWDS as the customization IDE & working on ISA 7.0.Hi Sunil,
In the Backend Implementation class, in any method you can call multiple RFCs.
It will be the same way as you do for the single RFC call.
Following syntax is for your reference.
Get the JCO connection
JCoConnection connection = getDefaultJCoConnection();
JCO.Function func = connection.getJCoFunction("ZXXXXXXX");
set the import parameters
Execute it.
connection.execute(func);
get the data from export / table parameters
Now call the second RFC
func = connection.getJCoFunction("ZYYYYYYYYYY");
set the import parameters
Execute it.
get the data from export / table parameters
close the connection
Hope this will help you.
-Chandra.

How to call a html file in a java file
how to call a html file inside a java file ?
Hopeless. Are you by any chance a rare gas? You seem completely inert. LOL You totally pwned him there :rolls eyes:
well, no, I think he's looking for something to this degree:
in HTML, there is a mailto: command that makes the system default handled way to email emails open up. He's looking for a command thats very nice and opens a html file in the system default browser.
So, Dick, Runtime.exec would work execpt that he needs a way to find the default system browser to call exec on, AND he has to know how to pass html file locations to the executable via command line arguments
He just didnt try to phrase it at all :P -

MSS ECM - how to retrieve custom OADP column in Webdynpro java application
Great day to all,
We have created custom OADP column for MSS ECM planning in SPRO.
In Portal, ECM Plan Table, the column is visible. User enters values into that and toggles the tabstrip.
Before submitting, i need to capture that value in Webdynpro java.
My Question is,
How can i make use of that column in my ECM Application using webdynpro java??
or how can i retrieve the custom OADP columns in webdynpro java with out using RFC??
Need ur great help... thanks alot in advance...
Thanks
MallaIn OADP ,there are two types of columns , functional column which cannot be edited in web dynpro java application and another type is application column which can be edited in application and the value of this column is handled in application using rfc enabled function module. MSS ECM comes with certain application column whose values are handled in MSS-ECM application . If you are trying to add custom application column you will have to handle that column value in your Z function module and also at OADP level you should not configure supply function for that column.
In order to call custom Z function module to handle custom application column I would suggest to create a seperate Software component and development component and in that handle the logic for calling Z Function module. Also you will have to define the usage of custom Development component in the MES-ECM standard component. -
How to call imported ant target/task in Java
Hi,
Can anybody advice me how to call an ant target/task, which is
"<import/>"ed from another build file, from within Java code?
Here's my Java code:
import org.apache.tools.ant.*;
import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
public class MyTest
private Project project;
public void init(String buildFile, String baseDir) throws
Exception
project = new Project();
try { project.init(); }
catch (BuildException e)
{ throw new Exception("The default task list could not be
loaded."
// Set the base directory. If none is given, "." is used.
if (_baseDir == null) _baseDir=new String(".");
try { project.setBasedir(_baseDir); }
catch (BuildException e)
{ throw new Exception("The given basedir doesn't exist, or
isn't a directory."); }
if (_buildFile == null) _buildFile=new String("a.xml");
try { ProjectHelper.getProjectHelper().parse(project, new
File(_buildFile)); }
catch (BuildException e)
{ throw new Exception("Configuration file "+_buildFile+" is
invalid, or cannot be read."); }
public void runTarget(String _target) throws Exception
// Test if the project exists
if (project == null) throw new Exception("No target can be
launched because the project has not been initialized. Please call the
'init' method first !");
// If no target is specified, run the default one.
if (_target == null) _target = project.getDefaultTarget();
// Run the target
try { project.executeTarget(_target); }
catch (Exception e)
{ throw new Exception(e.getMessage()); }
public static void main(String args[])
try{
MyTest mytest=new MyTest();
mytest.init("c.xml",".");
mytest.runTarget(null);
}catch(Exception e)
e.printStackTrace();
Here are my build files: (they look almost the same. But it's only to see if <import> works.)
1.c.xml:
<project basedir="." default="runtests" name="TestC">
<import file="a.xml"/>
</project>
2. a.xml:
<project basedir="." default="runtests" name="TestA">
<target name="runtests" depends="">
<mkdir dir="ttt"/>
</target>
</project>
If I directly set build file "a.xml" in MyTest.java, everthing works
well. However, if set "c.xml" then do task "<mkdir dir="ttt"/>" defined
in "a.xml" which was imported by "c.xml", when running, I got an
exception. Looks like it can't parse my c.xml which include "import".
BTW, I'm using ant 1.6.2, and running "ant -f c.xml" was ok.
Did I miss any classpath or something? Any idea?
Thanks,
AmyI have a standard Ant build script for signing a jar file. I import it into my master Ant build files with
<import file="Sign.xml"/>
and then in my master Ant script I setup the name of the jar file e.g.
<property name="jar-file" value="${fun}/FunApplet.jar"/>
and then invoke a target
<target name="sign-jar" depends="jar, sign">
</target>
Since this target (sign-jar) depends on target 'jar' and target 'sign' it executes the 'jar' target and then the 'sign' target that is contained in Sign.xml. -

KumarHi Kumar,
If you are using EP7.0, there is no calendar UI element in webdynpro development. There is only date navigator UI element. This is demonstrated in the below article.
