How to cancel FTP operation

I am using the internet tookit FTP vis. Is there any way to cancel an FTP operation while you are in the middle of it? For instance, if the user has requested a get file for a large file on an RT device but then you need to close the program or somemthing.
Right now we have a program on the pc communicating with a vi running on an RT device by shared variable. When the pc side wants to download files, it indicates this over shared variable to the RT device. The device prepares the list of files to request and sends that to the pc, it then goes into a wait state so that it isn't trying to record while the pc is downloading files. The pc goes through the list of files and FTP 'get file' s each one. When the pc is finished it indicates this to the RT device so it can continue recording. I would like to be able to cancel the ftp get file operation in the middle of it downloading a large file and then tell the crio to get back to what it was doing.

There are lots of ways just like Raven mentioned. The trick though is that the subVI will need to have the programming support to detect the new data. If the subVI isn't looking for the data then it really doesn't matter if you change it. This is where a good design and some forethought come into play.

You can't, but after the erasure the activation lock will still be in place, so the device will be useless for anyone not knowing your apple-id and password.

How do I cancel an operation in Pro*C (with threads)

I would like to be able to cancel a potentially long running Oracle operation initiated in Pro*C. It seems that, in an application having only a single database connection (i.e. does not use EXEC SQL ENABLE THREADS), I can do this by sending the SIGINT signal from another thread -- since obviously the DB thread is blocked waiting for the operation to complete. By having the "cancel thread" execute a pthread_kill(tid, SIGINT) against the blocked thread the operation is cancelled and the requisite Oracle error (ORA-01013) is caught.
However, it seems that once I enable threads, this method stops working. Unfortunately, the application I am writing needs multiple database threads. More dismal, I need to direct the cancellation to a single thread. I can, of course, direct the SIGINT to a thread via pthread_kill, but it does not work. Even a single thread with a single DB connection ignores the attempt to cancel -- in fact the program I wrote to test my initial theory stopped working (well, stopped canceling the operation) immediately just by adding an EXEC SQL ENABLE THREADS call.
So...does anyone know a call that I can make, from within another thread, that would cause an operation (executing on a given database context (sql_context) to become cancelled? Or does anyone have any other suggestions that I may experiment with?

Well, while I am still unsure why enabling threads renders my original solution incapable, I have found a suitable working solution.
After some research, I came across the OCIBreak call in the Oracle Call Interface. Mating this with the Pro*C functions to get the environment and service contexts (SQLEnvGet and SQLSvcCtxGet) allows me to call it. So, currently I set a SIGALRM signal handler and use pthread_kill in the monitoring thread to fire it off. The signal handler eventually calls OCIBreak.
I am hoping I can get rid of the signal handler and directly call OCIBreak from within the the monitoring thread itself -- but I'm not sure if this will break Oracle's thread consistency model and cause any heart ache. Oracle says that only a single thread should execute commands on a context, so I am not sure if OCIBreak is an exception to that rule. I may just try it and see what happens, but just because it works does not mean it is right or even stable. I'd like definitive proof (or disproof), so if anyone has some insight that'd be welcome.

How to cancel icloud erase mac

Having lost my MacBook Air, I went into icloud and chose the "erase all data" option. Luckily, i then found it back. I still have not connected it to the internet but will have to do so. Does anyone know how to cancel the "erase all data" request?

PS I also set up "lock" and i can undo that but will not do so until i discover a way to cancel the erase all data feature.

Make absolutely certain that you are not within range of a wireless network - unplug your modem and / or wireless router
Back up your MacBook Air using Time Machine or "clone" software
After your wireless network is operational, let the erase occur, then restore the MBA
The above is the safest suggestion but consider performing the folllowing before doing any of the above, which would eliminate the need for Step 3 entirely. I have not yet verified it will work, which is the reason for backing up your MBA first:
On another computer, log in to iCloud.
Select your MBA from the "Devices" list. If the MBA is off line (which it will be) you will find a link on the bottom of the iCloud.com page - the one that looks like this
Click it.
There will also be an x icon for the MBA resembling the following
Click it.
Either or both of those might remove it from "Find my iPhone" and invalidate the request. It would not hurt to try both.

Cancelling of excise invoice will be done in the following ways depending on the situation.
Case 1:
Create PO
Do MIGO (create and post excise invoice)
Create return delivery in quality inspection.
Now we have to create a rejection inmvoice in J1IS with reference to the return delivery wherein the excise values gets reversed.
If u try to reverse part 2 entries in J1IEX it will not come.
Case2:
Create PO
Do MIGO (create and post excise invoice)
Do cancellation of MIGO (102 mvt)
With ref to vendor or internal excise invoice number just post the transaction. excise part 2 entries will get reversed. This will happen only if 102 entry exist for the PO line item.
In a nutshell excise entries cancellation comes only if we cancel the material document. If we do return delivery then we have to create rejection excise invoice.
Hope u get cleared in this regards

Please note that if you have an iTunes Match subscription, you can't change countries until the subscription has expired. Your subscription expires 08/18/2013.
To turn off Auto-Renew for iTunes Match, follow these steps:
1) Open iTunes.
2) From the pull-down Store menu in the menu bar, Choose Store > Sign In.
3) Enter your iTunes Store account name and password, then click Sign In.
4) Go to the Store menu again, Choose Store > View My Account.
5) Enter your account name and password a second time, then click View Account.
You will be taken to your Apple Account Information page. On this page, simply click the "Turn Off Auto-Renew" button next to iTunes Match.

Again, not accurate. When Match is "turned off" all of the Matched song instances are still shown in the Ibrary and all devices still stream - so, if you have your songs also stored on your local drive (which I choose to as one does not always have access to WiFi and I use the local instances of the songs for some music production/DJing), iTunes shows each song twice. This is cumbersome if you simply want to play an album - you have to hear each song twice. There is no reason technologically they could not simply show the metadata for a song only once and simply hit the cloud object store when it it is not found as a local disk target. This would solve some of the issues and it is pretty much how any content delivery network (CDN) works - and this is how my local Genius Bar assured me it would work before I bought the service. I found they know little about Match.
Other issues: I believe the "exclusive" Cloud Playtlist logic still stands - iTunes protests if you add a non-Matched song to a Playlist (as it assumes you want all Playlists to be cloudy). Also, the APLCARE person and I could not figure out what "Removed" (under Cloud Status) means despite looking up several explanations on the Web. And, we found songs that were only in the cloud that should have also been on my local drive as I never deleted them. That said, it is also a pain to fully delete a song (local + the cloud). Plus, the logic in the Purchased section around what constitutes "Not On Computer" did not hold up. They have lots of logical challenges with thier workflow.
Regardingyour suggestion, there is no way to "not use" Match. Only when one is disconnected from the iTunes store does Match seem to go away completely.The only thing you can turn off is the song syncing/matching/uploading. This amounts only to turning off a sub-process not the service.
Match is likely fine for most who do not want to have any copy of the songs locally and are fine having access to their music only when connected via WiFi. I wanted more ubiquitous access to my collection from my iPad and my iPhone but needed to keep my songs local to my MBP too. This is not the proper use case as I have learned.
Of course I won't renew, but I should be able to cancel a service that I am dissatisfied with.
