How to cancel icloud erase mac

Having lost my MacBook Air, I went into icloud and chose the "erase all data" option. Luckily, i then found it back. I still have not connected it to the internet but will have to do so. Does anyone know how to cancel the "erase all data" request?

PS I also set up "lock" and i can undo that but will not do so until i discover a way to cancel the erase all data feature.

Make absolutely certain that you are not within range of a wireless network - unplug your modem and / or wireless router
Back up your MacBook Air using Time Machine or "clone" software
After your wireless network is operational, let the erase occur, then restore the MBA
The above is the safest suggestion but consider performing the folllowing before doing any of the above, which would eliminate the need for Step 3 entirely. I have not yet verified it will work, which is the reason for backing up your MBA first:
On another computer, log in to iCloud.
Select your MBA from the "Devices" list. If the MBA is off line (which it will be) you will find a link on the bottom of the iCloud.com page - the one that looks like this
Click it.
There will also be an x icon for the MBA resembling the following
Click it.
Either or both of those might remove it from "Find my iPhone" and invalidate the request. It would not hurt to try both.

Why is it so "easy" to cancel a service with APPLE? I have signed up for a iCloud plan two years ago and now have decided to cancel it simply because I don't want to use it anymore. I went on Apple.com to read the whole support area with so many subjects while none of them would give me a clue on how to cancel the service. Then I tried to find the phone number to call, then the website gave me two options - either leave a phone number so someone can call me back, or call them LATER, WHY? I chose to leave a phone number but the site gave me some time slots that are all super early in the morning like 5 or 6 or 7 in the morning which is totally not convenient for me, as a single mom I am extremely busy in the morning. Then finally I found a general service phone number to call. First, I had been put on hold for 5 minutes until someone answered my phone, then she put me on hold again for another 10 minutes just to connect to another department or so. Then finally I got to talk to the right person, she asked me a bunch of security questions that makes me feel like I might not be able to cancel the service if I ever failed to answer those questions. Thanks god, I passed the test! Then she put me on hold again for another 5 to 7 minutes, and the other side of the phone started playing very annoying heavy rock and roll music that almost made me hang up! Normally I don't write reviews or give comments on services but this time APPLE really ****** me off by playing such an old fashioned bad trick to keep a customer which is polar opposite from their products and other services.

Okay, I THINK I managed to keep my plan as is for next year - but PLEASE tell me if I don't have it, because the steps needed too keep my current plan as is wasn't immediately apparent.
I have the 20GB $40/year plan.
In the Downgrade Options window, once you get there via iCloud Storage on your iPhone or iPad, you'll see your Current plan with two Downgrade options below.
Apple has "helpfully" checked "5GB Free" which would of course wipe out much of my stored data.
Click your CURRENT PLAN at the top - the checkmark will move. I THINK (I hope) that took care of it, because neither downgrade option is checked anymore.
Does anyone know for certain? It would be nice if Apple sent a helpful confirmation email after this procedure is done, but noooo.

I lost my phone and set it to erase. Now I have found it. How do i cancel the erase function?

Here’s my question. My laptop is broken and I had a crack in my iPhone screen. Prior to sending it in to repair I backed up using iCloud and before restoring my phone to factory settings decided to do the software update. Half way through the update it asked me to connect to iTunes. So here’s were it gets complicated…
My charger is also broken, so in my panic at the stranger fixing my phone seeing my personal stuff I used the erase everything on the find my iPhone app, thinking iCloud had my back. It was still asking to be connected to iTunes so my friend have me their laptop nod charger (automatic sync not turned on) I plugged it in, the command went away and I sent my phone to be repaired.
It came back all shiny and new, but iCloud back up disppeared along with four years of photos, videos, etc etc. I contacted apple who had engineers go through their servers to find nothing from my iPhone backed up. I searched my friends laptop for music I have bought and even plugged the phone into their laptop but comes up with their phones name and their last back up. I have restored from iCloud and set up as a new phone.
I am worried my friend will have my information from my iPhone. Is it possible and if not has it just been erased forever?

The only way to cancel the iCloud account is to sign out of the account, and then stop using it.

I want my money back for the extra storage for Icloud! How do I cancel?
I bought the storage and everytime I try to back up it says incomplete and still deducts the storage, it doesn't work , it doest back up anything!

Thank you however everytime I try to find a support number they require a serial number and icloud doesn't have a serial number nor did they put anything on the reciept they sent me for the extra storage as to how to cancel, they just said you can cancel within 15 days. Please explain a little more, iCloud isn't an app, it can't be installed or uninstalled. You can stop using it by going to settings > iCloud > delete account.

ICloud - Erase mac - then oops...

Greetings,
A family member of mine asked me to come over and assist with an iCloud situation. After showing me all devices connected to the iCloud account a "rogue" computer existed under that account. I was ask to erase that mac and delete from iCloud. A few days later I got a call from this same person explaining that he had given this computer to the neighbor about a year ago and it is now locked.
I remember when I did this that I was asked a final 6 digit code as a final step to revive the mac. I think I gave it a very simple one but I can't for the life of me figure out what it was.
1) If I remember this code whenI go back over there today is this computer already erased?
2) If I remember the code and we get back into this computer, will it still populate on the 1st iCloud account since we removed it by the "x" in find my iPhone?

That depends whether you just locked it or erased it, if you erased it then it's already been erased. If you removed the Apple ID from the computer, it is no longer associated with that ID. However what you have done seems a bit confused, you can't remove the ID and still use that ID to lock it.
