  • How to cancel a print job in progress

I have a HP C5580.  When i was using Windows ME on my former PC, I could easily go to Printers, select the 5580,  hit documents in queue, and hit cancel , and the printer stopped.
Got a new Compaq  PC with Windows 7, and I can't figure out how to cancel a print job  mid stream.  I go to Printers and Devices, giet the page that allows me to view the print jobs in queue, I hit "print job in process", but the "Cancel" is not in bold print and I can'tfind any other way to cancel the job.
    Help !

The easiest way to cancel a print job would be by pressing the cancle button on the front panel.  This is the "X" button near the right side of the control panel, see pages 10 and 11 of the user manual here.

  • How do you stop printing test page everytime you turn on printer

Have psc1350 all in one. How do I stop printing test page everytime I turn the printer on.

The page that is printing is an alignment page.  It will be printed after a cartridge is changed, and will continue to print when the printer is turned on if the alignment is not successful.  After the alignment page prints you need to place the page face down on the scanner glass and press the "Scan" button to complete the alignment.  See your user manual for details.

    scarlattid3,
The cancel button should be located in the bottom right corner of the screen. The only thing is it's not going to show up until you start the print job or copy and then it should appear for you.
Let us know if you are able to find this.
If I helped you at all it would be great if you clicked the blue kudos star!

  • How to get the print the page numbers in a report  based on another report

    Hi
I have a requirement in which i need to print the page number based on another report
example my request set has 3 reports
    1 report prints 1- 100 pages
2 report page number should start from 101 - 110
    3 report 111-
Can anyone please let me how to achieve this?
    Thx in advance
    Kumar

    Hi,
You can create all the three report queries in one report creating separate query in the data model and then create the layout in proper sequence as required.
If you want to use separate reports only you might try the following:
In the first report use the after-report trigger and save the total no of pages in a table as a record.
In the second report fetch the value stored in the table and add it to the Page No. to obtain the Page No for second report.
Also in the second report use the after-report trigger and update the record created in first record to total no of pages + total no of pages of the first report.
In the third report fetch the value stored in the table and add it to the Page No. to obtain the Page No for third report.
Do remember to delete the record created in the table after-report trigger of the third report.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards

  • How to do a "printer friendly page"?

    Hello,
I have searched a lot but I didnt find a tutorial
    that work.
    I am using ASP Vbscript.
Any help will be very appreciated.
    Thanks

You seem to have misunderstood the use of the print.css
This is used on the same page as the normal css script, but
    is only seen by
    the printer.
Read the link Murray has so kindly provided.

  • How to cancel current printing

i haven't tried printing anything for over a year - of course, the ink cartridges dried up - i got new ones, but my friend decided to set up the printer and print out pictures before i got home - now, the same picture keeps printing...i don't know how to cancel the request - i also don't know if the printer was set up wrong. Does anyone know if this is a common problem?

You can't . As I mentioned before, there is only in thread for the ui available. This thread can only do one thing, either find data or get data. To make it multi tasking you have to trigger a new thread on the server which is finding the data and e.g. putting it in some storage (e.g. db table) and directly after trigger the search coming back to the client. This allows the client to do something else. Periodically you can check the storage or table and if ready show the result.
    No easy, but doable.

  • How do I just print one page not all of the pages in the document?

When I print the document, I usually just want to print just the first page and not having to print all of the pages which is a waste of paper.

    Hi debed,
I understand you're wanting to print particular pages of a document not the entire thing. I will certainly do my best to assist you with this.
It will depend on what program you're using, but you should see something similar to the image below allowing you to select the current page you're on, or pages 1-3 for example.
If you're still not sure, I will just need a bit more information to try and get more specific instructions.
    1. What model of printer are you using?
    2. Are you using Windows or Mac on your computer?
    3. What program are you printing from that you'd like to select just the one page?
    Hope this helps! Happy Holidays!!

    Hi,
Please follow the steps listed below to disable the schedules print delivery:
    1. From the printers front panel go to the 'Apps' section and scroll through until you find the desired print app. Select the print app and then choose 'Pause' subscription. This will pause the subscription until a user selects it again and 'resumes' printing. If the print app is not visible on your printer it may have been removed, please go to method 2.
    2. Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and login to your account, create an account if necessary. Go to the 'Apps' section and select the desired print app. Select 'setup' and then 'update settings', at the bottom of the settings page you will see in blue text 'Cancel Scheduled Delivery'.

  • How to stop a printer from printing a test page every time we turn it on

We have an HP Photosmart C3180 All-In-One.  We are using it with an I-Mac.  For some reason, whenever we turn the printer on now, it runs a black-and-white test. This has never happened before.  How do we get it to stop?

  • Is there a "normal" user manual for the 8600 pro? Something as simple as "how do i cancel a print j

I have a HP OfficeJet 8600 all-in-one printer and would like to find a "normal" user manual (If such a thing exists).  I tried in what somebody considers a manual to find out how to "Cancel a print job".  I  could not find it in what professes to be a user manual!  I finally figured it out on my own, but it would be nice to have a "conventional" manual with an index at the back!

  • ICal, PDAs and print planner pages

I'm somewhat confused after reading a number of posts in search of answers to these questions. So, I'm just going to ask here.
I'm using OS 10.4.1. I have a Palm Tungsten that I currently sync to the Palm Desktop. But I'm considering the switch iCal.
What's the best way to sync to iCal? And are there disadvantages to using iCal over the Palm Desktop?
How can I easily print monthly pages for my paper planner? I use my Franklin Planner in conjunction with my Palm because it's much easier for my family to view a month at a glance.
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.2.x)

Having recently made the switch, I can share from my experience.
The Missing Sync seems to be the best way to fly. Seem intuitive and robust.
Couple of differences I've found you should be aware of -
    1) Multi-day events are handled differently with Missing Sync (and possibly any other iCal link up, but I'm not sure). Say you have a three day trip you want to plan. Instead of a bar across all three days, like Palm, you need to set iCal to show three repeating days (three little bars - one for each day). Otherwise it's not handled correctly. Not a big thing, but for me who does a lot of multi-day planning, it was almost a deal breaker.
    2) I presume you'll use the Address Book? If so, e-mails are listed as a Work function, not under the title "E-mail". Again, not a problem unless you link to multiple computers. Sycing with my Mac, but using my Palm to overwrite data on another computer using Outlook really messed with my Outlook data - it didn't know how to handle the e-mail stuff.
Printing is pretty straightforward, but works best if you use a color printer (if you have multiple calendars, or categories as Palm would use the term).
All in all, a pretty painless jump. Hope this helped.

  • How do I cancel a print job from my computer to my HP Photosmart 7510. Touchscreen is unavailable.

    HP Photosmart 7510 All-in-One CQ877a Model C3112; Operating system Windows Vista 64-bit.
Can't find how to easily cancel a print job. The touch screen is unavailable during the printing process (just shows the HP icon spinning around during the print process). There isn't a "cancel" button or touch area to cancel. We're wasting ink and paper by not being able to cancel jobs easily. Read the 24-page manual and it doesn't mention it. Looked on line for an answer, can't seem to locate one. Can always go to Start, Printers, and select the printer and then cancel from within there, but by then, the job is finished.

There should be a cancel button (X) on the printer. Check out the pic below taken from page 7 of the User manual for your printer:
    http://goo.gl/mW7Fy
Alternately, instead of going the Start button route, did you check out the Final tip at the bottom of the article?
    "Final Tip (Shortcut)
Before using the method above to open the print queue, look for the printer icon in the notification area. If you see it, double-click it to bring up the print queue. "
