Show the 'information' panel F8).

The iPad is a 4:3 aspect ratio so on a widescreen TV unless you squash the mirrored image vertically you'll have black bars either side.

I have a multi-select parameter that can have a list of thousands of entries. In general, the user will pick a few entries from the list or "Select All". If they check "Select All", I would much prefer that I get a NULL or an empty string
instead of a list of all values. Is there any way to do that?
In experimenting with a work-around, I tried putting an "All" label with a null value in the list, but it is ignored (does not display in the drop-down). If I use an empty string for the value, my "All" entry does get displayed, but so
does "Select All", which is confusing. Is there a way to suppress "Select All"?

To get a null value instead of the full list of all values when "Select All" is chosen:
1) Add a multi-value parameter "MyParam" that lists the values to choose.
2) Add a DataSet "ParamCount" identical to the one used by "MyParam", except that it returns a single column named [Count] that is a COUNT(*) of the same data
3) Add a parameter "MyParamCount", set it to hidden and internal, then set the default value to 'Get values from a query', choosing "ParamCount" for the Dataset and the one [Count] column for the Value field.
4) Change the parameter for the main report DataSet so that instead of using [@MyParam], it uses this expression:
=IIF(Parameters!MyParam.Count =
Parameters!ParamCount.Value, Nothing, Join(Parameters!MyParam.Value, ","))

Full screen capture

Using Captivate 5, I need to create a project that captures Full Screen. Everything on the monitor needs to be part of the capture. My monitor is set to display at 1024 x 768. Captivate is set to 1024 x 768 Full Screen. When capturing the slides, I am not scrolling. However, after capturing the slides, when I preview the project, I have to scroll. How can I capture the full screen and not end up with a project that requires scrolling to see the whole slide?

The unfortunate (and unvarnished) truth is that you simply can't. Sure, you can capture at full screen. No problem with that. But you have to play the darn thing back. So where does playback occur? Usually in the browser, right?
Consider the image below:
The area highlighted in Red is the space available (at least in this configuration) for presenting the Captivate output. As you can see, there is less space available because the browser itself consumes space. And that is what causes the scroll bars.

The center button is not required for going into card view. In any position (landscape or portrait) you may swipe your finger from the bottom to top but just make sure you start int he black area around the screen. This is a subtle yet quick movement and may require some getting used to.

There's certainly no standard full-screen command in Windows, because there's no such concept. That's something that each program decides for itself. You could try seeing if the different browsers can process command line switches to open at full screen or whether they have some addons (like GreaseMonkey) which will allow you to automatically run the full-screen command when the browser loads.
Some other alternatives:
Simulate an F11 key press.
Send the F11 window message to the browser.
Display the browser in an ActiveX or .NET control on a front panel, the size of which you can control.
Try to take over the world!

Question: How to Redact a selected area (not a whole page) across multiple pages?

Hello all,
I often have to work with large PDF Documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9, almost all of which are scanned PDF files.
As scanned documents often do, certain pages (and usually large page ranges) have blemishes or markings that I wish to redact (the most common of which are hole punch marks down the middle left hand side, or other markings at the top right, where I need my page numbers to be unobstructed). I can manually select the hole punch marks on each page separately, and then redact, however, such blemishes are always in the same spot across a number of pages.
Twice I have managed to select a particular area, then redact that area across a page range I specify using Adobe Acrobat 9. Of course, after having done it both times, I promptly forgot how I did it.
All of the forums talk about redacting entire pages across a page range - no one seems to need to redact only a specific selection of part of a page across a number of pages. Does anyone know how to do this in Adobe Pro 9? I know how to do it in Adobe Pro 8, but it appears to have been moved elsewhere in 9.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think Adobe is aware we'd all like all adjustments to be localizable, but doing so is not "simple" given Lr's design (paraphrasing Eric Chan of Adobe). How can I import selected images from a folder instead of the whole folder in iPhoto 9.5.2?

I was trying to help my parents import some photos from a folder they have created with photos from their holiday. They only want to import select images from this folder into iPhoto. I said it would be easy and they can do it in 2 ways. First, they can drag and drop selected photos from their folder into iPhoto - and this works for them. However, more convieniently, they can click file>import to Library and then select the photos they want by going into the folder... Well that's how it works on my iPhoto '11 at least. When they showed me their screen via Skype (they are running iPhoto 9.5.2), when they click import to library, and try to go into the folder containing their photos, it imports the whole thing and there appears to be no way that they can enter the folder to select just a few photos from what I could see.
Does anyone know anything aout this problem?

Im getting a grey box at the bottom of my screen under the display line for the add ons like ghostry,personnas and greasemonkey icons are . i cant seem to get a "full screen" anymore . can you tell me how to overcome this

the box is located under the icon line at the bottom of the screen and above the window tool bar/icon box ! its almost like im running in a wide screen mode ! i cant seem to find a way of making the screen deeper, so it fills all the available space ! its also . freezing and it messes with the add ons and the adobe plugins ! a real shame cause i think the new layout is great . kep up the good work
