How to catch the date error

Hi Experts,
i have two date picker in this if i type Wrong format automatically system show error "type the correct format", That means i will show the two error message.
But my requirement is i want to catch that error and i will give my own error message,please tell me its urgent

create a Error message in Message Pool
e.g: name - INV_DATE,

Actually I am using three dropdown list as day,month and year
day contains 31 items and same values i.e., 1,2,3...31
and month contains jan,feb,....dec
year 1981,1982,.....2007
and I am concateded these three to form date as
d:=:day||'-'||:month||'-'||:year;
Now my problem is
when i am selecting values 31 jun 1980,30 feb 1980 i.e., non existing dates then it is throwing
"Unhandled trigger ..... "

Hi Spring,
If u give an exception step along with your Transformation Step, whenever some error occurs in your message mapping, this exception block wil be triggered.
You can configure your exception block to do all exception processing that you want. This exception handling is like any other java Exceptio n Handler. You can do anything that you want in your exception handler block on the basis of your requirements.
If an exception is triggered at runtime, the system first searches for the relevant exception handler in surrounding blocks. If it does not find the correct exception handler, it continues the search in the next block in the block hierarchy.
When the system finds the correct system handler, it stops all active steps in the block in which the exception handler is defined and then continues processing in the exception handler branch. Once the exception handler has finished processing, the process is continued after the block.
If the system fails to find an exception handler, it terminates the integration process with an error.

[MESSAGE.GENERAL] How can take the actual error text for ABAP proxy error?

I'm a ABAPer.
I got to create outbound abap proxy for synchronous server proxy and described below.
My problem is program can not catch the actual error message when occurred error during send data to XI.
The return message is just 'MESSAGE.GENERAL'.
But according to the XI part, 'Key error' is actual reason.
So... how can i take the actual error text like 'Key error'?
* Only MESSAGE.GENERAL is return message for all kind of errors.

My scenario is for Asynchronous communication.
I guess Fault messages are used in case of Synchronous communication for handling application errors. So if there was something wrong at the JDBC end then I could use the fault messages.
Have i got this right?
I also came across this piece on Acknowledgements. But is says that they can be used with the following Receivers:
The following receivers support acknowledgments:
ABAP and Java proxies (XI 3.0 SP1 for the latter)
Integration processes
IDocs (note that IDocs only return acknowledgments when they have been configured using the ALE audit)
Receiver adapters support system acknowledgments but not application acknowledgments
My Receiver is JDBC. So I guess I cannot use acknowledgements either.
Hence, I need to know what I can do to replicate the system errors eg. failed server etc...so that I can get catch these errors during sending.
I'll tell you abt what happened earlier.
My XI server was down. I executed the code for the sender ABAP Proxy and it did not catch the error. In SXMB_MONI in the R/3 system, I could see the messages queued up. When the XI server started, the messages were transferred to XI.
I need to handle such errors...ie. If the server is down or message did not reach XI then my ABAP program that sends data via ABAP proxy needs to know that something went wrong.

I tried to declare a varaible of type i and assigned sum to this variable.
it is giving syntax error that sum is not identified.

In control break statement when we use SUM. it added all the amount fields and stores its in the work area of that field.

How to manage the ORA- errors

hi, can anyone tell me how to handle the ora errors, let say when a usere doesnt have the priveleges to add data in database this exception is generated:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 19: PL/SQL: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored i want to display my message when this errors occure.Can i use the classes in the SRDEmo to catch the ora exceptions?

How to Catch the state of the Entity Object

I have Location Entity object. With JClient I am testing it.
I want to insert the data,
due to validations (wrong data) insert fails.
Then I am correcting data, still to another view object it is passing old data.
After correcting the data when I try to click commit it is not executing the code from getEntityState = STATUS_NEW
Can someone also please let me know how to catch the state of the entity

One way is to Download the data Directly from the database table using the path SE11->Give table name ->Execute -> system ->List ->Save ->Local File

How to catch SAP application errors in BPM.

I have a IDOC to Soap Sync Scenario where I send the message to a Webservice. I have used a BPM since we need to catch the resposne of this message and map it to a RFC. For ex if I get a success resposne I need to map success if not than I need to catch the error and map it to the RFC. Now here in some cases like if the target system (webservice) is down than XI raises a sap application error:

As I have mentioned I need to catch the application error in the BPM. If you see the discussion that is mentioned after the blog you have mentioned it is stated that the fault messages or the application error cannot be caught in BPM.
In the blog that you stated we can catch the fault message and map it to a message structure but only to that extent after that it would stop the BPM process at that step but would not proceed further as shown in the screenshot given in the blog it would fail as "application error restart not possible".
I need to proceed further and capture this error to an RFC Structure and call a proxy.
Here after the error it does not proceed to the next step.

For the first time when i complied i got the errors as :

So i logged in as sys & grant the permission to execute on UTL_FILE to ridb (user):

So, it got compiled successfully but when i execute it gives me error as:
Source does not have a runnable target.
What does this mean?
So I browse through forum & i got to know that i need to initial the UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject" in init.ora
So can i edit the init.ora with notepad.When i tried to do that it says permission denied
In my system it shows the init.ora file in path C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\config\scripts
but there is also other file initXETemp in the same path do i need to do the changes in it.
I have tried even editing the SPFILE as mentioned below:
C:\oraclexe\app\oracle\product\10.2.0\server\dbs\SPFILEEXE - I had edit this file using notepad & set the value of UTL_FILE_DIR ="C:/OracleProject". So next time when i restarted i'm unable to log on to the database.
So i had reinstall the software again.
Could you please let me know how to proceed..

How to retrive the data from a sqlite file(.db3) in windows phone 8.1(runtime)

hey guys
i installed the sqlite and sqlite-net as requested in other answers i found, changed to x86, and add the .db3 file in my project.
but the problem is how to retrive the data that already in the file( i am not creating any table or data in the app, just read)
all the answer i found is to create a table first and then read the table, i tried to skip the step of creating a table, and read from the table directly, but failed with " no such table", by the way, i set the property of the .db3 file as "content",
"copy if newer"
can anyone please help? i appreciate that !

From your description, you want to read data from available sqlite file. When you add the sqlite file into your project, you need to change the sqlite file build action to content. After deploying to device, the sqlite file is located in installation folder,
you need to copy that file into storage folder before reading data. Please try the following code snippets.

How to store the data of a file into an ArrayList?

Hi! everyone.
I want to know
if I have a File, and the data in the file are type int, type String...
And I have a ArrayList which is of type Question
How do I store the data of that file into the ArrayList
I tried to use the while loop(use the hasNextLine() to read the data line by line)
But I cannot add data which are not of type Question to the ArrayList.
Can you tell me what I should do, please?
I also wonder that
The data of the file are of many types, but when I try to read it with the nextLine(), the data all turn out to be of type String. Why?

No, a line in the file is just part of a question
The format of the file is like this:
*<question type code> : String*
*<question point value> : int*
*<question category> : String*
*<question difficulty level> : int*
*<question text> : String*
*<question correct answer> : String*
*<optional question-specific data> : String*
*<question terminator> : String*
And here is an example

I didn't seen any other answers but here's how it's been done previously in our organization for a custom BAPI. In this example, we give material and language to return the part description. It's not specific to your project but may give you ideas..
