How to center your work space?

How to center your work space?  For some reason flash keeps putting my work canvas at the upper left corner. I can use the hand tool to move the window but it's not the same as if it were actual centered.   Is there a way to place it back there? Thanks for any insight.

Thanks for the link kqlad.  My description wasn't too clear.  Here' is a screenshot  of what I meant.  It has the workspace in the center of the gray window.

  • Save to Web Color Shift with sRGB Working Space

I'm having a problem a lot of other people have, which is the color shift when saving to web or viewing my work in a web browser.
The solutions I've found in the past have been to simply make sure my working color space in Photoshop is sRGB and that my files are being built with that profile as well. I'm under the impression that sRGB is essentially the same color space as is used in a web browser, and therefore my work should look identical in both Photoshop and a web browser.
So why am I still getting a color shift? Everything in a browser appears darker and with more contrast, as though the colors have been pumped up a bit.
My monitor color has been calibrated with a Spyder 3 Pro and I'm using the profile it created for me as my OS X color profile. Thinking the shift may be related to my monitor profile, I tried switching to other profiles, but I still get a color shift in every single one.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

sRGB based on capabilities and trends of development (circa late 1990s) for commodities CRT computers displays. sRGB per se has nothing to do with web browsers. The reason it has become associated with the web is the assumption that most web users are looking at content using a commodities CRT monitor using Microsoft Windows.
It should be obvious that the use of a standard of some kind for display is better than none if there is to be any trend towards predictability of image display. Today, in commodities computing, that standard is sRGB: neutral color where R=B=G, and a gray ramp and primaries typical of the electron gun and phosphors used in CRT displays perfected for use in color television. It just so happens that this coding is rather will suited to get good value out of a minimum numbers of bits for color representation (e.g, 8 bits per channel 24 bit color)
Web browsers in and of themselves don't have a color space. A few, such as Mac Safari, use the ICC color management capabilities of the system, and these display compensated color just like Photoshop does: if the image is tagged with an ICC profile, compensation will be applied in the browser window. But for the vast majority of computers and users, browser color is monitor color, and it's easier and most reliable for designers to just assume sRGB because it's the space that's the best approximation of the internet at large.
You work usually will not look identical in Photoshop and a web browser (assuming that the browser does not or cannot do color management) because Photoshop is always soft proofing the working space onto the display. It is this quality that leads you to see parity between photoshop and the web browser when you choose you monitor profile as the working space: the soft proof produces no compensation.
But while this fixes up your local experience it is -not- the solution because this projects your monitor characteristics into the image when you share it. For example, if your monitor has a lumpy non-linear tonal response and you correct image shadows or saturation for a certain look the image data will code your monitor response as well as your intentions for the image appearance. Others will see the combination of your correction for your monitor response mapped over their monitor response, in fact they will see an inversion of your monitor's response coded in the image, and to whatever extent your monitor deviates from the norm is the extent which at the very least others displays of the images you correct will deviate from your intentioned look.
The answer to your problem--and this may surprise you--is to tolerate and appreciate the difference in display between photoshop's rendition of color and your browsers. Photoshop is showing your image more truly--within certain significant local limits--in terms of your working space than your web browser. By choosing an appropriate working space, and for the web it should be sRGB, and by profiling your monitor as you have, you are ensuring your images are normalized to current standards for web presentation. Others may still see crap, but it's most likely their problem and if they don't want to do anything about it that's their problem, not yours.
There are a wide variety of reasons why a properly calibrated monitor will not match a working space which the soft proof cannot overcome. A monitor gamut larger than sRGB is not one of them. Photoshop will properly display sRGB data if the display profile properly characterizes the larger gamut display. This leads to questions about the effects of monitor quality on workflow. Maybe the most important of these is "How do I know my Spyder has properly calibrated my display!!!" But this is a topic for a whole 'nother thread.
Where I run into trouble is when trying to make visual color comparisons during web design between my photoshop website mockup and a published site. I get confused and try to make color picker style matches by eye rather than by the numbers because I forget my web browser is not color managed. Sometimes I forget how all the parts play together and get confused and disoriented, then I make compounding mistakes. Then I start blaming my tools. Pity me.

    Ok, Figured out the issue,
Values in the OAF_AXF_CMD_PARAMS table was not matching with the actual attributes on the OAF pages. The four values
Entity Name, Primary Key, View Object and Attributes are to be entered for each page where we are intending to have the MA button.
    Thanks,

  • How do I get the essentials work space layout back

How do I get the essentials work space layout back?I accidently deleted it.

You could try renaming tour user id Photoshop Preferences root folder the start Photoshop.  Photoshop will create a new preference tree for your user ID.  It should be in that tree copy it to the renamed tree. then delete the new tree and rename the old tree back to its original name.

  • How to change the main work center and  work center of each operation when generating work order by maintenance plan

    Dear experts,
I face a problem that system get main work center from equipment master data as a default main work center in maintenance plan when creating maintenance plan. however, if main work center in equipment is changed later, the change will not synchronize to related maintenance plan. if work order is generated from maintenance plan, main work order in order is defaulted from maintenance plan instead of updated work center in equipment.
another problem is that, for those orders generated by maintenance plan, the work centers in  operations is defaulted from task list in maintenance plan. in most case, work center in task list is dummy. Actually the work is done by work center in equipment master data.
My expectation is how to auto replace the main work center and work center of operations in work order with the one in equipment master data if order is generated by maintenance plan? is there any standard configuration or enhancement/BADi that can help with this requirement?
    thanks!
    Wesley

    Wesley,
Sorry - development is the only way.
Another option is to create a batch program that runs before your IP30 run(s) and updates any maintenance items and task lists with the correct work centres.

how do you connect your photoshop elements on your computer to your account online? and how do you create a customized url? how does the gallery work and how do you access it? i have trouble signing in on my program from my computer to connect to the online photoshop, and I really want to create my own customized url and post photos to my gallery and share them with the world, family, and friends, but i need help because i can't figure how to do any of this, would really appreciate feedback and assistance, thanks, - claire conlon

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • Can you WIRELESSLY connect a macbook pro to a monitor to have extra work space on a separate screen from your macbook? (not mirror, extra monitor/workspace)

Can you WIRELESSLY connect a macbook pro to a monitor to have extra work space on a separate screen from your macbook? (not mirror, extra monitor/workspace)
    It needs to be wireless.
I am not asking about mirroring, but as a second screen.
Apple tv communties said the Apple tv cannot do this, but maybe another type device can?

My thunderbolt port stopped working on my late 2011 MacBook Pro rendering my external monitor useless--or so I thought.
Mac Genius suggested using the Apple TV via AirPlay Display as a $100 solution. Took me all of 6 minutes to figure this out as there are no directions in the Apple TV box supporting this. But, it does work and I am now back in business.
PS. Don't set up with bluetooth--seems logical but you want to use AirPlay Display under Settings > Displays.
Also, I originally thought my external monitor stopped working because I upgraded the OS. This time, it was definitely a hardware issue and not software. It also fixed a known sound issue my monitor had with Macs. First time in my 15 years I've ever had a ViewSonic have issues with an Apple product, too. Thanfully, it is now fixed.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get the RGB Working Space from within a Filter Plug-In?

Within my Filter Plug-In I need to access the image's icc profile data. I know this can be accomplished with the according data structure 'iCCprofileData'. But what if there is no profile assigned to the image? Then iCCprofileData is NULL and the default should apply which is the 'RGB Working Space' (assuming the Plug-In works in RGB mode only, what it does). But how can I get to know what the 'RGB Working Space' is from within my Plug-In?

As far as I know, the profile provided to the plugin API should never be NULL. If the image is not color managed, it still should have the working space profile in the ICCProfileData field.

  • How do I get Lighter Effects work space?

I am having problems with Lighter Effects. I can't seem to get it to open its work space. I go into Filters, Render Lighter Effects and click on it. When I do, it blinks the properties and then adds a layer naming it Lighter Effects. But it never opens the work space. It only sometimes opens up the Lighter Effect properties. And without the work space, I can't do anything with the properties anyway.
I need a way to fix this so the Lighter Effect work space appears when I click on the Lighter Effects in the Filter Render. I have just re-installed and updated Photoshop CC 2014, if that helps those out there helping people like me who are not experts at Photoshop.

You can find the system requirements by clicking on the hyperlink in my previous post.
Re: 3D, you should be able to, for example, open a 3D model via 3D > New 3D Layer from File. Or you could select a normal 2D layer and go to 3D > New Mesh from Layer. If you can't do this your video card does not meet system requirements or the driver may need to be updated.
If your Lighting Filter is working properly your window should look something like this:

  • If this is how Notification Center works (for Mail). Im not impressed!

I've have Notification Center (NC) working properly on my iPhone and iPad from day one and love it.
I assumed that NC would work the same way in Mountain Lion (ML)......it's not for Mail!
If Mail app is open then I get Mail notifications.  REALLY?   No need for NC for Mail if that's the case !!!  Works in iOS without having Mail app open.
Or am I missing a setting?
    Thanks

    Terence Devlin wrote:
You can only have one app open at a time on iOS. On your Mac you can have many apps running simultaneously. So, like many users I have Mail running all the time while working in other apps. Try it sometime. It's one of the big differences between Macs and iOS devices.
Then why is it that other users HERE are reporting they are getting notifications with the Mail app closed.  Un-like you and many others (according to you) I don't leave my Mail app open all the time.

  • How to create New Work Center

    Dear Experts
How to create New Work Center?, what are all the inforamtions  need while creating workcenter.
    Regards
    Rajakarthik

    Hi,
In addition to the above post, you need to identify that:
    1. Whether you need separate activity types and cost center for the newly created work center. These details are entered in the Costing View of the Work Center.
If these are required then use KL01 to create new activity, KP26 to define the activity price.
If required create cost element using T Code KA01 and Cost Center using KS01.
Take help from the CO guy on this.
    2. Also  you need to ask the concerned about the operating times for the wor center. That is Start time and End time of WC. It is used for capacity evaluation and scheduling of the orders. It is maintained in the capacity view (Bottom left Button in the view).
this view will also contain the details regarding the calendar, to be assigned to the work center, if needed. Collect details for this requirement. Also you can assign a different calendar to WC apart from factory calendar.
    3. Find out whether this WC will be operating in shifts or not. Accordingly maintain the details.
Hope it is useful for you.
    Revert for clarifications
    Regards,
    Rohit.

  • How do you showcase your work?

I have a question for all you DVD Studio Pro professionals out there. If someone wants to see a "reel" of your work, how do you present that to them. It is a little different than being an editor or a visual effects artist where you cut a troditional reel together of your work. Also has anyone come up with a creative title for your occupation other than DVD Authorer?

Combine your select DVD projects into one project and make a main menu with your logo and name and sub menus that link to other your dvd projects.. You'll have to make the buttons very clear for the user, but that's my suggestion.
A Dual layer disk will give you more room, but if it's the DVD Authoring you're showing off, you can use just small sections of the pieces on your dvds.
