How to change an apple id on an idevice when I cannot access the previous apple id?

Dears,
I am trying to change the apple id on my father's iphone. He has NO idea what the previous password was, OR his email password (that is why I registered him a new email) OR what the recovery email address was. I am trying to delete his icloud account but it demands and apple id password.
Is there anything I else I can do except formatting his phone?

Go to http://iforgot.apple.com and sign in with your iCloud login. A new password will be sent to his associated email address. If this doesn't work you will have to contact Support. Go tohttps://getsupport.apple.com ; click' See all products and services', then 'More Products and Services, then 'Apple ID', then 'Other Apple ID Topics' then 'Lost or forgotten Apple ID password'.

What are the "two other programs?" The ones you named shouldn't be consuming all your RAM, even if open concurrently. But I've heard (I don't use it) 10.7 is a memory hog.
Closing open apps may not solve the problem, since that memory is still being held in reserve for them.
This problem is usually caused by a combination of low RAM and low disk space.I am very puzzled when you say you have 895GB left on the drive. That should be an enormous amount of room for the memory to page out (write) to.

All content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloads it - so any apps that you downloaded via your old account can only have updates to them downloaded by that old account.

Or you'll have to delete the apps and then download (pay again or free) using your Apple ID.

You need to get the previous Apple ID password reset. The only way to do that is to log onto Manage your Apple ID and click on Reset Password for the Apple ID you need to sign off of the device:

You will have to answer the Security Questions. If you do not know the answers, you will have to have Apple Support reset them for you:

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple Id to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.

No, it will just ask you for the password to your old Apple ID to update the apps in the future. Unless your talking about simply changing the email address associated with your Apple ID account.
