How to change apple ID to update email address

I have recently gotten an new email address and my old email which I had registered my phone under Apple is no longer current.
I have tried to upgrade to IOS7.0.6 and in order to finish the upgrade, I need to change my email address so I can add the correct user ID/Password.
The AppleID on my phone is grayed out so I cannot re-enter it or change it. I only have the option to change my password.
I have updated my email and password online.

See if you can skip that step and then sign out of anything that associated with the old Apple ID and then sign in with your updated Apple iD. Check out the article below for more information.

Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.

How to change apple Id for updating

My daughter has already signed into the app store on a different user on my mac . When I go to download or update apps on my user, I cannot do this because her apple ID has saved to the app store for the whole computer. As I do not know her password, I am unable to update/download apps. I also cannot change the email address when doing this
Please can someone help me remove her apple ID so that I can put mine in?

It is not whether it is straight forward or possible, it is that this is the security system in place to prevent both piracy of software and hacking of accounts.
Whose computer is it? Who set it up? Whose account has Administration privileges on this Mac? The Mac, OS X, the pre-installed software can only belong to one person, regardless of how many of you have user accounts on the Mac. It is only this one user who can update the software.

When i first bought my iphone a friend put his apple ID so he could show me how to download apps.
Although now i have my own ID and download apps with this one - every time i try to update some apps his email address pops up for which I do not have the password to. Is there a way to remove his ID from my phone completely and update my apps with my own ID? Any kind of help would be great on this

Noble Seven, I actually did that deleted everything and then downloaded them again but for some reason it still does the same thing when i try to update them.
I've noticed that the other email pops up even on the apps that i downloaded with my own ID...

Apple ID's can be used for anything, a single ID can be used for all your accounts (ie iCloud, iTunes, MAS, Apple community etc), ideally this would be the way forward. So far as iTunes goes you need to continue to use the same ID as you have always used or you will lose access to your previous purchases and your iTunes match subscription.
If you are using a second ID for iCloud, you can continue to do so or use the ID you use for iTunes, but if you choose the later you will need to move all your calendar, contact etc data to the account using the ID you use for iTunes.
When (if) you change which account you use you would delete the account on an iOS device and log back in with the correct details, on a mac you would sign out in the iCloud system preference pane.

Hello,
You can't change that or merge two Apple ID. If you need to download the old apps you purchased you have to log out and log in with your old Apple ID.

Settings > iTunes and App Stores > tap on the Apple ID that is displayed then sign out.
Then sign in with the apple ID you want to use.
Keep in mind all purchased items will remain associated with the Apple ID that was used to purchase them. If you are not signed in to that Apple ID when trying to update an app you will be asked for that Apple ID and password.

???? If her AppleID is the same as yours then she doesn't have one! You (or she) need to make one for her and configure her phone for it. However, this will complicate things with purchases because you will have to authorize her phone to use previous purchases as anything purchased under one account remains permanently tied to that account.

"The reply" as in the Rescue email to reset your Security Questions? If so, then you will have to contact iTunes Support directly to get them reset:

Here is a procedure that should help.
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
3. Click the account you don't want anymore
4. Go to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
5. Confirm the deletion
6. Go back to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (if you're not there already)
7. Add your new account

You have to go to Settings>Store and log out of one account and log into the other account. If you have updates available for apps that were purchased from more than one account, you have to update the apps individually until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.

You can't. All apps, and any other content from the store, are tied to the account that downloaded them, and they will remain tied to that account - so only the account that bought/downloaded an app can download updates to an app. Are you having problems downloading an app update via the app's own account ?
