How to change branding image of Portal?

This topic may sound very common to you al but i have tried soem basic steps but no success so i am posting this thread.
I want to change branding image of portal log on page.
I have navigated to this path.
S:\usr\sap\EPD\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
and replaced my image with existing one i mean i have removed the default image from this folder and pasted needed image.
Reatsrted server but no success.
What can i do for changes to take effect.

Try these options
The images on the logon screen are hosted in the web server area for your WebAS 6.40, you can change it in two ways:
Option 1:- Connect to to server where the Portal WebAS is running and go to:
(drive):\usr\sap\SID\JCNN\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
There you will find the images used on logon screen, you can replace them for your company images, please take care with the width of the images, as usual, to make this change effective, you must restart the whole WebAS.
Note: each time you upgrade the WebAS (install a new SPS) these images willbe overwritten, so take it into account in order to replace it again after upgrade.
Option 2:
- Connect to the Portal's WebAS Visual Administrator
- Go to "Global Configuration" -> Server -> Services -> UME Provider
- look for following properties: ume.logon.branding_image and ume.logon.branding_text
- Change the image location for the desired one, but be sure the new images are present on a web server location over the WebAS

can any one help me to change the branding image in login page because.i tried a lot by changing jsp file in pcd directory and moving my image to irj/root directory, but one thing i obzerved is previously my image is directing to logon/layout directory but now it is directing to /irj/root directory but image which is presnt in that dir is not displaying.

In addition to the steps mentioned by Robert you have to edit the <b>authschemes.xml</b> file to display your custom branding image.
In order to achieve this,follow these steps
1. Launch the configtool from /usr/sap/instance/JC00/j2ee/configtool.
2. Switch to edit mode.
3. In the tree, navigate to cluster_data->server->persistent->com.sap.security.core.ume.service
4. Switch to edit mode and in the tree choose authschemes.xml.
5. Choose download and save the file to local directory.
6. Open the file in wordpad.
7. In the file, rename all occurrences of the string com.sap.portal.runtime.logon with your custom name for the par file in the tags and save the file.
8. <b>Restart the portal</b>
Your application should work perfectly now.

Download the par file com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak from
Go to System Administration -- Support -- Portal Runtime -- Browse Deployment.
The path should ROOT/WEB-INF/deployment/pcd. Now download that file into local system.
Create a Par project and make necessary chenages ..i.e
Open the downloaded par file with WinZip and inside the lib folder three jar files named com.sap.
portal.runtime.logon_api.jar, com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_core.jar and umelogonbase.jar will be there. Copy those files in the folder u2018libu2019 in par project.
Now change a branding Image...i.e
Replace the branding-image. jpg with your company branding image in the same name.
Once modifications are done,then create a par project and upload the par file into portal.
Go to the path System Administration -- Support -- Support Desk -- Portal Runtime -- Administration console.
then browse the file and click on upload.
Connect to server where the Portal WebAS is running and go to:
(drive):\usr\sap\<system id>\<system instance>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout.
There you will find the images used on logon screen, you can replace them for your
company images, please take care with the width of the images, as usual, to make this
change effective, you must restart the whole WebAS.

Problem in changing branding image.

Hi all,
I have a problem in changing the branding image for portal logon page.
To my knowledge I have the change the image file under
\usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\layout
But to my surprise I am not able to see gthe com.sap.portal.runtime.logon folder in the server.
Can somebody suugest me what might be the reason.Is it any problem with the versions or something?

It is:
\usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout\
You can do a simple search for branding-image.jpg from \usr\sap\EPD\JC0\j2ee\cluster\server0 to find the location. You can change the location or name in the config tool.

This has been much discussed earlier. Do search posts.
For your scenario i would do the following.
inside your node which is binded to the table, i create a new node image with cardinality 1 ..1 and a attribute called path of type string.
create a supply function for the node image .
Supply method now has a Element (Parent element ) and node.
Based on your record in element, set the right image source to path attribute and bind the node.
This will make sure that the framework calls the image supply function for every row in a table.

Okay I am at a loss how to change an image from 6.8MB to 290KB or at least in the KB's so we can keep from getting the file is too large message from where we want it to go to. I am at a loss when I move the inches smaller the size is still too small. Hello dear Mac users
How to change preview image of a file and NOT the icon ?
I know how to change the icon of a file, but I wish to know how to change the preview of any file.
For example: my file is "mysong.aif", I changed the icon to be "mylogo.png" using cmd+i, cmd+v on the icon. But the preview of the file still remain the same.
I know it can be changed using iTunes, but I don't want to import all my files in iTune, and iTune cannot import all type of files.
I hope someone will understand my needs...

How can I "tag" my MP3 without going thru iTunes ? Is it possible to do it dirrectly in the Finder ? Is there other type of files that can include such tags ?
Thank you for answering my question , wich I have to admit may seem useless, but I wish I could put something like a signature logo on each of the different file I produce (as AIF for music and MP4 for video clip) instead of that generic black box with a note on it, and by the meantime keeping a different icon for all of them in order to illustrate theire content.

Make a friend with firebug & you could find yourself from where it is getting applied.
For the website you have given the background image it is using is [1] and it is getting set in css of body tag [2]. So Find the css at [3] and modify it OR replace [1] with other image with same file name.

This is a hard coded image in the 3.0.x releases of Portal.
If you want to change it, the only way you can do it today is to
replace the ml_us.gif file which you will find in
$ORACLE_HOME/portal30/images
This is the image for the US language, there will be one for
each language installed. e.g. ml_f.gif for French.
If you replace that gif file with an image of your own using the
same file name, then yours will be rendered rather than the
default.
