How to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time?

Hi guys,
For some reason I'm trying to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time.
I know that there is "Edit Capture Time" feature under Metadata.
But when I try to edit multiple photos, it says that "Modify the capture time stored in the selected photos by entering the correct time adjustment for the photo displayed to the left. Other photos (but not vidieos) will be adjusted by the same amount of time". And it really does.
For example,
If A file's capture time is 1/11/2011
B file's capture time is 1/11/2012
C file's capture time is 1/11/2013
I would like to change their capture time to 1/11/2014. All the three files.
But the current "Edit Capture Time" feature of Lightroom just adds three years to each file like this:
A file's capture time -> 1/11/2014
B file -> 1/11/2015
C file -> 1/11/2016
So their capture times remain as different ones. And this is not I want...
What should I do?
I've googled a lot and tried several programs other than lightroom as well, but the "Capture time" recognized by lightroom could not be changed by other programs.
I would greatly appreciate your help.

That's why I posted this.
Sorry - I didn't see where you'd mentioned that you'd chosen the correct option, so I thought best to rule that out first.
Anyway, it sounds like a bug, which can be reported here:

In the mean time, you can use exiftool, or try your luck with the exif-write function of the exif-meta plugin, e.g.:
Note: if you use exiftool, you need to save metadata first, make the change, then read metadata in Lightroom, otherwise capture-time changes will be ignored by Lr.

    Hi
My objective is to create a workflow in ESO , that will change the ownership of a contract document from the current person to his supervisor ( supervisor's id will be in user id management page) after a specific time .
Please help me how to do it ?

To prepare a computer for sale or donation, in addition to the steps mentioned in this support article, take these steps:
If you set a firmware password, remove it by running Firmware Password Utility in Recovery mode.
If you activated FileVault in OS X 10.7 or later, turn it off.
If you use Boot Camp, the partition must be deleted
If you created any other data partitions on the internal drive, remove them in Disk Utility.
Erase the data partition(s) with the option to zero out data. An SSD doesn't need to be zeroed.
You can't legally or practically transfer any software downloaded from the Mac App Store to the new owner of the machine, even if it was free. That includes OS X, so if you paid for an upgrade OS X 10.7 or later, you must reinstall  the original OS, either from the installation media, if applicable, or by booting into Internet Recovery (option-command-R at the startup chime.)
The new owner will have to repurchase the software, if need be, under his or her Apple ID. If you ever updated the bundled iLife applications (Garage Band, iMovie, and iPhoto) through the App Store, you can't transfer them either.
Remove the machine from your list of registered products. If it's still covered by an AppleCare Protection Plan, transfer the coverage to the new owner by following the instructions in the AppleCare Terms and Conditions (under the heading "Transfer of Plan.")

  • How to change blending mode on multiple layers at the same time

I'm using CS5. I have a document with about 70 layers. I would like to change the blending mode to "lighten" for each layer. Is there an easy way to do this?

Photoshop doesn't allow multiple layer editing. That's why the styles are grayed out. Only 1 layer at a time.
What version are you talking about?
CS5 definitely let’s one apply a Style to multiple Layers.
rfcommagere, I don’t know how to make it much clearer:
    • set the Blending Mode on one Layer
    • with that Layer selected create a Style with »Include Layer Blending Options« checked
    • select all other Layers that should have that Blending Mode
    • click the Style in the Styles Panel

  • How do I change the length of multiple photo's after I've added them?

How do I change the length of multiple photo's after I've added them?

    Hey,
The best way to do this is to select all the clips by holding down the shift key or command key if the clips you want to change are not all right next to each other and then selecting each clip that you want to change. Then double-click on the clips which will open up the inspector tab and then you can change the duration. If you want to just change all clips to the same duration just double-click on one of the photos and in the inspector tab next to the durationt tab you will see a box that says "add duration to all clips". If you click that, when you change the duration all the photos will change to that duration. That will then change the duration of all the clips at the same time.

  • How do I email folders and multiple photos? I get an error in server message very time.

How do I email folders or multiple photos? I get a server error message whenever I attempt to do this. Thank you!

Not sure what the error message is you're getting, but it's probably smartest to compress a folder, or its contents, or multiple files into a single file, then send it.
In Finder, select the files/folder(s) you want to send. Right-click (or ctrl-click) the group, then choose "Compress...". Once done, you'll find a file "Archive.zip" nearby, or "foldername.zip". You can rename it, but then attach it to the mail you're sending. It is safe to assume that the recipient will be able to unzip it.
Note that mail servers often have size limits for attachments, eventually both your outgoing mail server as well as the recipient's incoming server, and one limit might be tighter than the other. But then the error message should be telling you...

  • Adjust Time of Multiple Photos By Fixed Amount

Is there any way to adjust the time of multiple photos in an album by a fixed amount? In other words, I want to select multiple photos within an album and have the time of all these photos incremented by a fixed number of hours. I looked at the “Batch Change” menu item, but it doesn’t provide the capability that I am looking for.
The motivation for my question is that the album contains some pictures taken with a camera and some with my iPhone. The iPhone had the correct time of day, but the camera was set to the wrong time of day, because I didn’t update the camera’s time for a time zone change.

Yes.  Try the Photos ➙ Adjust Time and Date menu option:
That should do what you want.

how can I get rid of multiple pictures at the same time?

Adobe Bridge, lightroom and your file browser (windows explorer or Mac Finder) can select multiple pictures at once and then delete. If you are looking for more than that for information, you will need to be more specific at what your doing, what OS you have, and version of software your using. If necessary post screen shots so we can see what your doing. The more information we have the more detailed of an explaination can can give back to you.

  • For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. Nothing there about sizing.

For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

  • How to shift capture time of multiple photos by a long timeframe?

Is there a way to shift the capture time (in EXIT) of multiple files by a long time frame?
When you select photos and go to Metadata - Edit Capture Time, you can shift the capture time in the increments of hours.. I need to shift the capture time of some photos by years.. Is this possible at all within LR?

Most selected? What do you mean? You mean the photo with the earliest capture time?

  • How to change capture time?

I had wrong year setting om my camera. Now all shots are 2010 and not in 2012. I tried to change them including check the write settings into raw-files.
The creation date are still 2010 and wrong, when I look at files in the finder.
second: how to move the pictures from the wrong 2010 folder to the 2012?
Thanks for any help of this very difficult and irritating issue.

With one or more photos selected in the Grid view, or with a single photo selected in the Filmstrip in Loupe, Compare, or Survey view, do one of the following:
Choose Metadata > Edit Capture Time.
In the Metadata panel with EXIF information displayed, click the arrow in the Date Time field.
In the Edit Capture Time dialog box, select the type of adjustment:
Adjust To A Specified Date And Time Changes the capture time to the date and time you specify.
Shift By Set Number Of Hours (Time Zone Adjust) Changes the capture time by the number of hours you add to or subtract from the original time.
Change To File Creation Date For Each Image Changes the capture time in the camera EXIF data to the file creation date. If you select this option, skip step 3.
In the New Time area of the dialog box, do one of the following:
If you selected Adjust To A Specified Date And Time, type a new date and time in the Corrected Time text box. You can also select the date and time values and then use the Up or Down Arrow buttons to increase or decrease the values.
If you selected Shift By Set Number Of Hours, choose a value from the pop-up menu to adjust the time forward or back.
Important: If more than one photo is selected in the Grid view, Lightroom changes the capture time for the active photo by the specified adjustment. (The active photo is previewed in the Edit Capture Time dialog box.) Other photos in the selection are adjusted by the same amount of time. If more than one photo is selected in the Filmstrip in Loupe, Compare, or Survey view, the capture time is changed only on the active photo.
(Optional) To revert the capture time back to the original, select the photos in the Grid view or the Filmstrip and choose Metadata > Revert Capture Time To Original.
