How to change capture time?

I had wrong year setting om my camera. Now all shots are 2010 and not in 2012. I tried to change them including check the write settings into raw-files.
The creation date are still 2010 and wrong, when I look at files in the finder.
second: how to move the pictures from the wrong 2010 folder to the 2012?
Thanks for any help of this very difficult and irritating issue.

http://help.adobe.com/en_US/lightroom/using/WS57264460-DC72-4a1f-A665-1E90907A9FFD.html
With one or more photos selected in the Grid view, or with a single photo selected in the Filmstrip in Loupe, Compare, or Survey view, do one of the following:
Choose Metadata > Edit Capture Time.
In the Metadata panel with EXIF information displayed, click the arrow in the Date Time field.
In the Edit Capture Time dialog box, select the type of adjustment:
Adjust To A Specified Date And Time Changes the capture time to the date and time you specify.
Shift By Set Number Of Hours (Time Zone Adjust) Changes the capture time by the number of hours you add to or subtract from the original time.
Change To File Creation Date For Each Image Changes the capture time in the camera EXIF data to the file creation date. If you select this option, skip step 3.
In the New Time area of the dialog box, do one of the following:
If you selected Adjust To A Specified Date And Time, type a new date and time in the Corrected Time text box. You can also select the date and time values and then use the Up or Down Arrow buttons to increase or decrease the values.
If you selected Shift By Set Number Of Hours, choose a value from the pop-up menu to adjust the time forward or back.
Important: If more than one photo is selected in the Grid view, Lightroom changes the capture time for the active photo by the specified adjustment. (The active photo is previewed in the Edit Capture Time dialog box.) Other photos in the selection are adjusted by the same amount of time. If more than one photo is selected in the Filmstrip in Loupe, Compare, or Survey view, the capture time is changed only on the active photo.
(Optional) To revert the capture time back to the original, select the photos in the Grid view or the Filmstrip and choose Metadata > Revert Capture Time To Original.

  • How to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time?

    Hi guys,
For some reason I'm trying to change "capture time" of multiple photos to a specific time.
I know that there is "Edit Capture Time" feature under Metadata.
But when I try to edit multiple photos, it says that "Modify the capture time stored in the selected photos by entering the correct time adjustment for the photo displayed to the left. Other photos (but not vidieos) will be adjusted by the same amount of time". And it really does.
    For example,
    If A file's capture time is 1/11/2011
    B file's capture time is 1/11/2012
    C file's capture time is 1/11/2013
I would like to change their capture time to 1/11/2014. All the three files.
But the current "Edit Capture Time" feature of Lightroom just adds three years to each file like this:
    A file's capture time -> 1/11/2014
    B file -> 1/11/2015
    C file -> 1/11/2016
So their capture times remain as different ones. And this is not I want...
    What should I do?
I've googled a lot and tried several programs other than lightroom as well, but the "Capture time" recognized by lightroom could not be changed by other programs.
I would greatly appreciate your help.

Sorry - I didn't see where you'd mentioned that you'd chosen the correct option, so I thought best to rule that out first.
Anyway, it sounds like a bug, which can be reported here:

In the mean time, you can use exiftool, or try your luck with the exif-write function of the exif-meta plugin, e.g.:
Note: if you use exiftool, you need to save metadata first, make the change, then read metadata in Lightroom, otherwise capture-time changes will be ignored by Lr.

  • Change capture time of many shots decrement of some minutes...

    Hi to all,
I've a proble that drive me crazy.
    I've 3 cameras and operators (2 x D700, 1 x D300) and in a wedding session they missed to
    synchronize camera's timers, so when D700.a sign 10.53am D700.b sign 10.27 and D300 sign 9.43.
At this point I would like to Syncronize captured time using LR3 feature so every camera shift time
    of right values. D700.b -25minutes, D300 -1h10minuts.
How I can obtain that ?
    Thank you very much...
PS: the shots are almost 4500 so a manual change of each one is impossible to do...

The edit capture time dialog in LR is somewhat missleading, as you could think that you would set the capture time for all selected photos to the same absolute time when choosing "Adjust to a specified date and time". But then, who would want to do this ...
So LR shows you the original capture time of the most selected image, and adjusts all the selected images by the difference of the original and the changed capture time of the most selected photo.

  • How to change LACPDU timer setting on Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver

We’re installing our first Windows 2012 R2 server, and one of the network settings is different from what’s on a comparable Windows 2008 R2 server, and it's not what our network group would like to see connected to their switches.  Both servers have
2 NICs teamed using the LACP protocol and are connected to 2 different switches for high availability.  In both cases I just teamed the NICs with whatever driver was on the server.
On the 2008 R2 server (the one our network group likes), it’s an Intel driver, “Intel(R) Advanced Network Services Virtual Adapter”.  On the 2012 R2 server it’s a Microsoft driver, “Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver”.  The setting that
our network group is concerned about is the LACPDU timer setting.  Apparently it can be either “fast” or “slow”.  What they see on the switches is that on the 2008 Intel driver NICs the setting is “slow” and on the 2012 Microsoft driver NICs the
setting is “fast”.  The switches are expecting “slow”.
I spent some time searching on Microsoft.com and other places, as well as poking around on the server, but I couldn’t find that setting or how to change it on the Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver.  Does anyone know how I can change it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
According to my knowledge, we can’t change the value of LACP timer.
    Here is a related question,
How to change LACP timer-value on Windows server 2012 Network Teaming, from short to long?

  • How to Change Capture YEAR with Edit Capture Time – Mac OS 10.6

    Hello,
I have very frustrating problem with Lightroom 2 (latest version). I have read that it is possible to fully edit the capture time and, crucially, year of a set of photos. Unfortunately, unlike all the FAQs I've read, I have no option to change the year:
    FAQ screenshot:
    My dialogue box:
There is no year option I can see, only month, day of month and time.
    Please help me.
    EGP.

I got the correct answer. Included here for posterity.
Well, it's not the file.  The file's showing the right settings on mine.
If you look in the Metadata panel, do the dates appear correct there?
And, really odd question of the day... if you go into system preferences > language and text > formats, have you customised any of the formats?  I just have a really vague recollection that it had an effect once upon a time.
    Yahaw!!! That's the answer!
I had a custom time set up on my computer. When I was on Leopard you had to edit the date formats to allow the clock that shows in the top right of the menu bar to use the format "weekday/dayofmonth/month/time". That must have been it
    Thanks a bunch!!

  • Can I change Capture time/date globally

I have shots from a trip done with two different cameras, however the time stamps are different by one day and one hour.  I would like to globally change the creation date and time on one of the cameras in the Metadata, or perhaps change one and sync with the others.  I don't see how this is possible, but maybe there is another program that can do this.
    thanks,  kb

The Metadata > Edit Capture Time command can adjust a set of photos by the same amount of time:
    1. Use the Library Filter bar to search for all the photos taken with just one of the cameras, by filtering in the Metadata browser for Camera or Camera Serial Number.
    2. Make sure you're sorting photos by Capture Time (down in the tool bar, View > Tool Bar).  Select all the photos from the trip.
    3. Do MetaData > Edit Capture Time.
    4. Select Adjust To A Specified Date And Time.
    5. The Original Time field will show the capture time of the most-selected photo.  Change the Corrected Time by one day and one hour.
    6. Click Change All -- this will change all of the selected photos by one day and one hour.

  • How to change capture date to unknown in Lightroom 5.2

How do I simply change a photo capture date to unknown in Lr 5.2?  I scanned some photos that somehow automatically got the scanned date input as capture date and I need to reset it to unknown.  I've spent way too much time searching for an answer for such a simple task.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brian

LR doesn't provide a feature to change capture date to unknown, nor does it allow plugins to do it correctly.  You'll have to use an external tool (e.g. the free Exiftool) to modify the metadata of the photos directly:
    1. If you've added keywords, captions, or other metadata to the photos in your catalog, or you have applied Develop settings, then in LR, select all the affected photos and do Metadata > Save Metadata To File.
    2. Use Exiftool to remove the fields EXIF:DateTimeOriginal, XMP:DateCreated, and IPTC:DateCreated and :TimeCreated.
    3. Select all the photos and do Metadata > Read Metatadata From File.
The Capture Time To Exif plugin may make step 2 a little easier for you, though you'll have to figure the Exiftool command line arguments yourself.
