How to Change "Chapter" to German "Kapitel" in TOC ?

Hi there,
I write a book in German and I can't find out how to rename the words "Section", "Chapter" etc. so that they appear in German as "Abschnitt" and "Kapitel" in the Table Of Contents. Photos are attached....
If I change them manually like on the second picture they are not being changed in the TOC also.....how can I define them to change automatically in my table of contents?
On the First Picture you see that there is still the word "Chapter 1" and "Section 1"...How to change that in "Kapitel 1" and "Abschnitt 1"?

But if you are just looking to change the language, you may not need to do anything other than changing your computer's language and your iPad's language to German so that those OS's are both configured correctly.

Some time ago I encountered the same problem. I then learned as a solution to change in the System Preferences the language -to english in your case- start a new book then. Afterwards when I changed back to my language of choice, the book stayed in the language it was made in. This might help. Good luck.

Io ho acquistato Photoshop CS 6 su Amazon. Versione dischetto.
Per cambiare la lingua sono andato sul seguentye percorso:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Locales"
quindi ho aggiunto una cartella nella mia lingua:
Allora ho copiato il contenuto della cartella de_DE (lingua originale del programma) e l'ho incollato nella cartella it_IT (la mia lingua).
Quindi mi sono recato nella cartella
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Locales\it_IT\Support Files"
e ho sotituito il file .dat in lingua tedesca con uno in lingua italiana reperito in rete.
Ho aperto Photoshop, sono andato per cambiare la lingua, ma le opzioni erano entrambe "Deutsch", la lingua originale (tedesco).
Ho provato a metterlo e, dopo un riavvio del programma, è ripartito in tedesco.
Oggi ho avuto l'idea di cambiare anche il "pack.inf"
da "version=13prefstring=Germanlocaleid=de_DE" a "version=13prefstring=Italianlocaleid=it_IT".
L'unico risultato è che adesso mi compare una sola lingua quando vado per cambiare quest'ultima:
Vi prego di aiutarmi, e sarò sempre pronto a dare chiarimenti in caso di problemi con la traduzione automatica.

Simply navigate to this directory: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5.1\Locales\sv_SE\Support Files
the sv_SE folder is named such because my version is Swedish. Just find the similar named folder that looks like it should correspond with your language.
In the support files directory there will be a file named tw10428.dat
Make sure that photoshop is closed, change the file extension to .bak instead of .dat, and then restart photoshop.
Your software will now be in English.

How to change size and position of default TOC

Is it possible to change the width, height and position of the default TOC menu in Captivate 6?
Currently the default TOC menu goes from the top of the window to the bottom. In order to fit better with the graphic UI we are using for the course it would be better if the TOC could be positioned about 40px from the top of the window and end about 50px short of the bottom. I can find no way to change the size and position of the TOC from within Captivate.
I have tried changing the CSS stylesheet for the HTML version and that will work but it does not work for the SWF version.

I am hoping that you are still following this thread. I have a client who really wants to be able to changes the size and position of the default TOC and you mentioned that it would require extensive AS3 coding. I am hoping that you can give me some idea of where the AS3 files are located that I would need to take a look at. I am working on a Mac using OSX 10.7

How to change language?

I accidently selected "English" as application language at the first startup of Adobe Reader. Now I do not know how to change it to German, Edit -> Preferences -> International -> Application Language -> "Choose at Application startup" does NOT work. Do I have to uninstall Adobe Reader and reinstall it to change language?!?

How to change the TOC button?

I´d like to change the TOC button. In former versions its simply with four lines on it, with version 8 it´s labeled with "TOC". Can I get the lines back??
And how do I change the label for bookmarks? (right beside the small bookmark icon it says "title", but I´d like to label it "content" or something else)

Still don´t know how to change the label for bookmarks in TOC ...
But I found the solution for changing the TOC button: somewhere in the program folder are FLA-files for the different skins. Choose the FLA corresponding to your selected skin, open it with Flash and check the library for the button you want to change. Doubleclick in the library and create anew (I changed the "TOC" into three lines). Export SWF and then take care to put it where the original skin SWF is located. Voilá!
Hopefully someone can tell me a way to change the label ;-)

Title bar of standard page come with German, how to change to English

Hi Experts,
I am creating an page contain an WebdynPro ABAP. When user click link in the WD it will pop up new browser for standard appraisal document provided by SAP. The problem is the title bar of the pop up come with German. So i have checked the Master Language properties of page and iView for standard apprisal document, it has been set to 'EN'. I have no idea how to change it to English.
Could you please advise.

This changes the actual store. There are dozens of stores. Each store is posted in ONLY ONE LANGUAGE. Changing the country (actually, it changes the store) doesn't change the language. The language is hard-fixed for the particular country's store. You cannot change the language of the store. You can only change the store. The German Store is always in German. You can change to the U.S. store, but you can NEVER download / purchase anything from a different store than the one where you first got your Apple ID.
You could create a new Apple ID in the U.S. store, but that is only allowed WHILE YOU ARE LOCATED IN THE U.S. This is the most annoying limitation of the Apple ID and flies in the face of Apple's attempt to present a globe-trotter image for their customers.

Here's How to change the image on the TOC to be different for each chapter.

Suppose you don't follow the Very Strict default Rule that you use the exact same image parameters (shape, pixels, size, etc.) for your Table of Contents image entry as you use for its associated Chapter, a requirement built in to iBooks Author that applies universally to ALL Chapters under the One Image Size and Location is Best For Everyone rule. Suppose you start adding chapters and messing with each chapter's image and then, later, it occurs to you to get the TOC all set up and when you go there you encounter a mess. Either by chance one of the images you had in one of your chapters found its way to the TOC and, gosh, now every TOC entry for every chapter has the very same exact size and location image! This is not part of your grand plan and then... how to make lemonade here? It's Not Obvious.
You can resolve this in your favor. You must do this patiently.
First, whatever image size is created in any chapter TOC window—by dragging the image placeholder handle re-size box—will apply to ALL image entries (i.e., chapter image entries) in the TOC . If you want maximum flexibility make the image placeholder box big. Hint: you may need to mess with the Edit Mask option in order to get the image placeholder size box in the size and location you want. An option here in preparing your images is to **** with Photoshop or Preview to really engineer the images that will be used for the Chapter Page and, separately, the TOC / these could be the same content images but formatted differently in order to look nice in their respective locations. The Chapter Page image can be manipulated on the Chapter Page. On the other hand, the TOC image must fit within whatever (universal) size you've created.
Plan ahead
Get your TOC images ready.
Loop until done:
a) from the Finder menu, right click on the filename of the image to be put in the TOC / select the menu item “Copy”..this image. This puts the image in the clipboard. Another way to get the image in the clipboard is to pull it up with Preview and pretend to crop it (full size) then command-C. Another way: just click on it if it is in a file somewhere and again command-C.
b) Click on the Table of Contents option (near the top of the left navigation column in ibooks Author ) and navigate to the TOC chapter for this image by clicking on the correct chapter “button” (a white dot in a black background surrounded by a white rounded-corner box) in the center bottom of the TOC chapter window;
c) Click on the image placeholder in this chapter TOC window to reveal the highlight boxes defining the boundary of the image;
d)command-V (paste); Voila! the image is in the TOC. NOTE: dragging the image into the highlighted imagebox (see c) above) will NOT work.
e) mess with the image by clicking the mask editor button so the image fits as desired being careful to move the image only and not resize the image box.
Go back to loop and repeat.

I recently purchased Agendus Pro online as a promotion - the only language version available was English.
I would like to change it to German - ist there any way to do that short of discarding it and spending more $$$s?
Please note I mean just the application language, not the whole of the Palm system.
