How to change datasource of a group in portal

Hello Evryone,
I am using EP7.0
When I am creating a new group under User Administration->Identity Management ->Create new Group,
a new group gets created, but the data source of this group is "UME Datasource".
I want to change the data source of this group. The available data sources when I search the groups are "R3_ROLE_DS", "UME Datasource", "Built-in Groups Adapter".
But there is no way that I can create a group with , say R3_ROLE_DS data source. On creation of a new group it just asks for a group name and group description. It always creates a group with a default data source "UME Datasource".
Can anyone help me on this.

I do not have much knowledge about UME so kindly bear with me.
The problem that I am facing is : when I search for groups in portal, then I am able to view/search groups that are of type R3_ROLE_DS( ie these groups have been created in backend) as well as groups with type :"UME DATABASE".
I just want to know, that if I want to create a group in portal with type R3_ROLE_DS, then is it possible or not?
Basically, the issue is that groups created in backend are vsible/can be used in portal, but can I create groups through portal that can be visible/used in backend?

If you want to change template based on parameter. you have to use below syntax

How to change datasource location in CR V10

How to change the datasource location in CR10, I need to use same table in different database. I tried in "Set Datasource Location" but it is not updating to the new one which i have selected. please help me on this.

Hi Try like this,
Go to the Database option on the top > Select Set data source option.
The top portion of the Set Data source Location window shows the current connection and part at the bottom is where you would make a connection to the new database
Once the connection has been made, select 'one' table from the current connection and then select a matching table in the new connection and click on the 'Update' button. Do this for all the tables one by one.

How to change song information by group?

I know we can change song information by group by selecting multiple items.
However, this option only allow to change a limited set of information.
I can't find a way to change songs by group in some of the options in the "Options" tab, i.e. Remember playback position, Skip when shuffling and Video Kind (for videos only).
Any help is greatly appreciated.

How to change default /Users and /Groups to different Volume?

Users are created in /Volumes/<boot>/Users and groups in /Volumes/<boot>/Groups.
We need these to be created on a different volume, eg., /Volumes/External/Users, and /Volumes/External/Groups.
Setup Assistant correctly put user Backups into */Volumes/External/Shared Items/Backups* and also correctly put web services on /Volumes/External/ServiceData -- we want to do the same for Groups and Users.
Groups are the most critical, as the group needs bulk storage. Users we could leave as is if it can't be done.
How can this be configured? We've read File Server Admin, Open Directory Admin, and Advanced Server admin from http://www.apple.com/server/macosx/resources/documentation.html without finding an answer.

1. Create new folders on the external volume to hold users and groups, but to prevent confusion name them something other than "Users" and "Groups". /Volumes/External/NetUsers and /Volumes/External/NetGroups would be reasonable choices.
2. Share both of these folders (in Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Volumes & Browse modes -> select each folder -> click Share near the top right).
3. Enable both folders for automounting on clients (Server Admin -> server name in sidebar -> File Sharing -> Share Points-> select each folder -> Share Point tab under that -> Enable Automount option) with the default options (Directory: /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1, Protocol: AFP, Use for: User home folders and group folders). Be sure to click Save (not just OK in the dialog).
4. To migrate users, run Workgroup Manager, and change the home location for the users you want to move (select Accounts in the toolbar -> /LDAPv3/127.0.0.1 from the hidden pop-up menu under that -> User icon tab at the left -> select the user(s) you want to change -> Home tab on the right -> select the NetUsers option from the "Where" list). Then, for each user, run this command on the server: "sudo cp -Rp /Users/username /Volumes/External/NetUsers".
5. Similarly, move Group folders in WGM (Accounts -> /LDAP... -> Groups icon on left -> select groups to move -> Group Folder tab on right -> NetGroups in the list). Then, for each group, run "sudo cp -Rp /Groups/groupname /Volumes/External/NetGroups".
6. Test to make sure all is working before deleting the old user and group folders from /Users and /Groups (do NOT delete /Users and /Groups themselves, just the individual folders from under them).

How to change datasource in CR XI Server

How can I change the database and server in CR XI server?
For example, my reports is designed against the 'pub1' database and the 'server1' server. How can I change the database to 'pub2' and the server to 'server2' in CR XI server?
I understand within the CR XI Server, there is a place for me to change the datasource.
Under the Database tab in Process Tab, I selected "Use custom database logon information specified here" radio button, and database driver as "ODBC". I entered the server IP, the login and password.
I am using SQL 2000 Server.
I run the report and get Error Message: "Failed to open the connection. C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Data\procSched\crystalreport.reportjobserver\~tmp142c5653066e200.rpt".
I do not understand why failed to open the connection.
Please advise.

You will need to create an ODBC DSN on Windows first and then use the ODBC DSN's name instead of the IP Address under CMC >> Objects >> YourReport >> Process >> Database page.

How to change datasource type 3.x or new after replication?

Hello,
after the replication of a datasource i got a popup, if i want an old 3.X datasource or a new datasource. I clicked new, but i need an old 3.x datasource. Now i don't have a chance the change this.Where can i do it?
I deleted the datasource in sourcesystem, but after new replication i don't get the popup to choose the datasource type.
The problem is, i can't change the technical name of the datasource in sourcesystem because of the naming convention.

it's a generic datasource i created.The problem is that i create a 3.x Infosource too and i want use my generic datasource. But after replication i choose the false type (new datasource and not 3.x datasource) and now i can't assign my datasource to my 3.x infosource.I see the datasource in the sourcesystem-tree but not in the infosource-datasource-assigning-Popup.
How can i change the type of datasource from new datasource to 3.x datasource in BI 7.0???

How to change mail-enabled security group to security group

Hi,
As a test I have configured on the properties page of a security group an email adres. By doing this converted a security group to a mail-enabled security group. Also this group has been transferd to Office 365. But after testing I want to make the distribution
groups on the Exchange in Office 365. So I deleted the emaila dres of the security group, but it still synchronized to Office 365 as a mail-enabled security group. How can I change in AD the mail-enabled security group to a security group?

How to change SQL Server security groups name after server rename?

A Windows 2003 server has been renamed from LAMDAMIRROR1A to LAMDAMIRROR2A and the following
sql has been run in SQL Server 2008 R2 on the server :
exec sp_dropserver 'LAMDAMIRROR1A'
exec sp_addserver 'LAMDAMIRROR2A','local'
However, although everything appears ok, the 5 Windows 2003 Groups (automatically created by
the SQL 2008 R2 Install) still contain 'LAMDAMIRROR1A' in their name. Does this matter ? Can the Windows Groups be just renamed (right click , rename) or will this cause problems ?
The Windows Groups are :
SQLServer2005SQLBrowserUser$LAMDAMIRROR1A
SQLServerDTSUser$LAMDAMIRROR1A
SQLServerMSSQLServerADHelperUser$LAMDAMIRROR1A

If you have executed the sp_dropserver and sp_addserver in SQL Server 2008 R2, we need to verify if you renamed the SQL Server instance successfully. You can select information from @@SERVERNAME or sys.servers to verify if the renaming operation is completely
successful in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). If yes, whether you change the registry entries containing the old 'LAMDAMIRROR1A' name or not, there’s no impact on SQL Server Services. For more details, please review this article:

How to change the order of groups in AdvancedDataGrid

I have a dataset similar to the following:
Region   Sales
======   ======
North     10
North     15
South     5
East      20
West      5
West      4
West      3
I'd like to group by Region and sort the groups by the Sales subtotal for each group. I already have the data grouped correctly using GroupingCollection2. How can I sort the groups by the sales subtotal (it sorts by region name by default)? I've seen some posts that talk about creating a custom groupingObjectFunction and applying a group sort. But I'm still confused. Can someone give me some pointers on how to achieve this?
So ideally, the AdvancedDataGrid would end up looking like this with the regions sorted by sales subtotal;
Region    Sales
======    ======
North
          10
          15
subtotal 45
East
          20
subtotal 20
West
          5
          4
          3
subtotal 12
South
          5
subtotal 5

Thanks, I looked at that earlier but it doesn't contain the solution I was hoping to find.
I ended up not using GroupingCollection. I think GroupingCollection is cool, but it isn't really customizable to the extent I need.
I just ended up transforming my data into a hierarchical form that could be used directly by AdvancedDataGrid. At the top level of my hierarchy, I have the detail txn groups, subtotal groups, and grand total groups. To sort the groups, I use custom SortFields. So, for example, if I want to sort by group name, I add a SortField for the groupName attribute. Both the Detail Group and the Subtotal Group share the same group name. Then I add a SortField for a summaryRow attribute. Only the subtotal group has that attribute. This ensures that the Detail Group is always followed by the associated Subtotal Group after sorting. I store my groups in an XMLListCollection and then set the sort attribute, then call refresh().
Not ideal, but it works. If my requirements were more complex, perhaps my approach wouldn't have worked as well. But as it stands it works well and has good performance.
I was hoping that ADG could handle this kind of sorting for me, but after looking at the source code, it seems like this is not possible without implementing my own custom GroupingCollection class and possibly other supporting classes.
One key thing to note is that clicking the column header to sort within groups works fine. However, if you then attempt to sort at the group level, ADG hangs while trying to refresh itself. The trick is to assign the dataProvider.sort attribute to a temporary variable, then set it to null (this sort variable contains the ADG column sorts that the user clicked). Apply your group level sort and then reapply the dataProvider.sort attribute.

How to change regional setting in group policy?

Hi guys,
I have some problem with updating regional setting via group policy.
On the windows server 2008 r2.
User Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel Settings\Regional option.
On the Regional option, I clicked add and i set the short date formal dd-MMM-yy. But after clicking apply and ok again if i right click the same regional setting , the short date used to change to M/d/yyyy again to the default.
Therefore please anyone who has the solution for this issue , please help me..

What's the color of the underline of the setting? If it's Red, to enable the setting configured, you need to press F6 to make the underline turn
Green.
