How to change dot to comma on numeric pad in Numbers?

Hi,
I have bought new iMac with Yosemite system and switched from Excel to Numbers.
I have Apple's numeric pad keybord. Unfortunately, I dont know how to change the input of the "dot" key on the number pad, so that I get a comma in Numbers sheet, which would allow me to use decimals when working with numbers.
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,
Lucky you with a numeric keypad. I wish I had one .
Are there any settings in System Preferences > Keyboard?
Perhaps the Input Sources Tab may help.
You can also get there from System Preferences > Language & Region > (set your preferences, then click on the Keyboard Preferences button).
Regards,
Ian.

  • How can I change dot by comma in a report?

Hi. I'm working with 6.5.1, full client and webi, but I have not been able to change the numeric format 2.333,00 by 2,333.00. I mean, dot by comma for tens and dot for decimal.
I checked the configuration in bo server and pc client, and the format is correct, but the report show me 2.333,00.
    Could you help me?
    Thank in advanced.

    Hi,
You have the option to specify the format within the report itself.
    -Create a report using reporter
-go to Format on the menu bar
    -click and select "cell"
-the format window opens-> select the "Number" tab
-choose "Number" and select a format from available options or customize in the properties section.
    I hope this helps,
    Regards

  • How can I change a string to a numeric when the numbers are separated by blank spaces?

Why don't you just use the Spreadsheet String to Array function instead. You can specify any delimiter you want. See the attached picture.

  • How to change the side of the y axis in numbers ?

I am trying to make a negative only chart (all the x values are negative), thus the y axis has to be on the right, yet it is displayed on the left ! I really need some help please. Thank you !

    Hi Rupert,
    Here's an alternate method.
Ian's suggestionis the only one I know using a scatter chart, but Numbers also offers a '2-axis' Category chart. It's the last one on the menu in the Charts button, requires two series of Y values, and defauts to a line chart for the first series and a column chart (vertical bar chart) for the second Y series.
The two (Y) axes may have different scales, and may be formatted separately. Here's an example. Instructions below.
The data columns are column B (X values) and column D (Y values).
Because this is a Category chart, the X values must be listed in a header row, where they will be recognized as 'category labels' . As 'categories', they will be evenly spaced along the x axis, and wil be ordered left to right in the order they appear (top to bottom) in column A of the table.
2-Axis charts require a table with two columns of Y data. To provide the second 'data' set, I've added column C, and filled it with zeroes.
To create the chart, select columns C and D, then click the Charts button and select the Two-Axis chart.
With ther chart selected, open the Chart Inspector.
    Choose Axis.
Uncheck "Show Values" using the pop-up menu for Value Axis (Y1)
Check "Show Axis" using the pop-up menu for Value Axis (Y2)
Set min and max values and steps to values that will give you integer labels for the Y value grid lines.
    Choose Series.
Click on the colour block (on the table) for the dummy series (Y1).
Set Data Symbol to 'none'. Use the Line thickness control in the format bar to set the line thickness to 0.25 pt and the colour to black.
Click on the colour block for the 'real' series. Set the data symbol and size, and the line thickness as desired.
    Regards,
    Barry

  • Numeric pad instead of qwerty

Hello, I only got my iphone 3gs on Friday. But, I'm surprised that it's only got a qwerty keybpard for text. How come it hasn't got a numeric pad for predictive text? Is one available anywhere? I love the phone. But it's little niggles like this that might make me send it back.

I see, you mean using the "numeric" phone dial pad for texting. You can't do this with the iPhone. The whole point of a qwerty keyboard is that it is much more efficient for entering text, particularly with predictive correction.
Once you get used to using the qwerty keyboard, you'll find it a lot more flexible and faster. The more you use it, it will learn your vocabulary to the dictionary.

  • How to change the comma and dot for Pricing

    Dear All,
As per the requirement, we need to change the Comma as dot and dot as comma for all the condition type values.
Please let me know where we have to do this setting.
Also explain, what is the impact on FI after this change.
    Regards,
    Mullairaja

    Hello,
I hope you are talking about decimal notation in User defaults. You may choose the options in transaction SU3->Defaults->Decimal Notation.
This is user-specific settings and there will not be any impact on applications.
    Thanks,
    Venu

  • How can I change the precision of a numeric array indicator using property nodes ?

I want to change the precision of a numeric array indicator programatically using property nodes. I tried to see all the array properties but I couldn't find it. URGENT !!!

If you want to change the precision of an element in an array you must first get the reference to the array element. Then raise the reference to the more specific class of a digital numeric. Use a property node connected to that reference to set the precision. See the attached vi for an example.

  • How to change NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS parameter for OWB SQLLDR mapping

    Hi,
How to change the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS database paramater for my SQLLDR mapping?
I have an input flat file which has numeric data with ',' as decimal separator means NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting as ',.'
However in my target oracle schema, the decimal separator is '.' which has NLS parameter set as NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS='.,'
    My OWB version is 10.2.
When I checked the configuration parameters of the sql loader mapping and the flat file operator, There is facility to change language, but not NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting.
I do not want to change the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting in my database as there are many other projects which will get impacted.
We got a work around as below using external table & premap procedure. But as I have many mappings already developed, It is not possible to use this workaround.
    - I can use premapping procedure with external tables to populate.
    - NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting can be changed using procedure for that particular session.
Is there a way to change NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting only for that particular mapping/mapping session?
    Thanks,
    SriGP

At this moment , this is not possible . You can see metalink note ID 268906.1.
    It says:
Currently, external tables always use the setting of NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS
    +at the database level.+

  • How to change front color in Visual composer

    Dear friend,
i am taking numerical expression box into visual composer table view
and try to change the front color in style tab for that field property
but front color is  not changing in output(back ground color is changing ).
how to change front color in visual composer?
and can we change the symbol color too?
    thanks and regards,
    dushyant.

    Hi Vani!
    1. Unfortunately one of my requirements is that I can only get data from queries and not from Web Services or other sources, so no WS calling would be allowed in my deployed I-View, but thanks anyway for your suggestion.
    2. You are right, I was not clear enough in my first post. Let's say I have 3 rows and 12 columns, what I want is the following:
    ROW3 = ROW1 / ROW2
obviously for each column. Do you have an idea about how it could be done??
    Thanks a lot,

  • For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. Nothing there about sizing.

For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.
