Yes, if you want to call one device from another each must have a unique email calling address. Go to Settings>FaceTime and add another email calling address and delete the other one after you set up the second one.
I learned that a long time ago when I tried to call my iPod from my Mac.

Ipod touch is not formatted one way or the other at all.
Just sync it to the new computer using itunes.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual and use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default. Ipod touch has lost LOADS of my videos when connected to my MacBook Pro

Ok this is a weird one, and it's happened twice now.
So I use two macs, my 27" iMac at work which runs snow leopard, and my MacBook Pro laptop that is running Tiger.
Now I connect both to my brand new iPod Touch, which is great and has all my videos ond music on.
Now I uploaded a ton of films / tv etc and when I went on holiday I took my laptop with me to use and I also use to charge up my ipod.
Now when I was charging in itunes on the laptop it showed all my old videos and music for some reason, not sure why - but when I checked the iPod it had all my new stuff on.
So I charged it, added a new album from my laptop and thought all was fine. But it wasn't.
Now I have lost ALL the new music and videos I put on there, and it's even put the old films and tv back on there....How? Why?
Now when I click on the iPod touch it tells me under setings / about that I have 31 videos on there, but it's only showing 10. So they've somehoe gone and as I have them all on my work mac and I'm on holiday I can't get them back on....GRRRRRR!
This has happened once before but I've no idea why - can anyone shed any light on this?

- You can only sync with one iTunes library. If you sync with a different library, the iPod will be erased and its contents replaced what is in the iTunes library of the attached computer. It appears that is what happened..

I am thinking of pre-ordering the new Ipod 5 touch for my son to replace his Ipod 4 touch. But I am wondering if any of the accessories he already has he will stil be able to use including his docking station. I know the 5 is larger so he will need new cases etc but I am hoping his docking station will still be okay?

before you install, make sure you have a time machine copy of your Lion setup saved to an external source. This will be useful.
then you should go the Disk Utility and select the Disk Drive that has Lion on it, Verify and Repair your disk and permissions and then go to applications folder and right click the installer app for ml.
Find a file called InstallESD.dmg and save a copy of it to your computer. This will save you the trouble of having to install it from mas again, should you have to reinstall Mountain Lion or install it on another computer.

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

You can only uncheck the cell phone number. The only way to delete it is to use for FaceTime and Messages an Apple ID not associated with the iPhone.

You can set up here iPod to use your account for apps, music and other thing. Aftr you set up FaceTime (FT) with your account, go to Settings>FaceTime and add another email calling aemail address (any valid emeal address) and then delete yue Apple ID email address.

I do a LOT of calling on mine. Simply install the Skype app and get a SkypeOut account and SkypeIn number. They run about $60.00 a year for both. You get unlimited US & CA long distance, plus voicemail. For texting, I bought and use the TextFree app. You will need a wifi connection though for all this to work, but there are public wifi hot spots all over. I've even found open networks driving down the street. I just pull over, logon and make my call.

IF you do find a backup that has your contacts; I'd /highly/ recommand turning off your wifi network after the restore is finished because if the issue is with your iCloud your contacts may merge back with her's.
With iCloud you DO NOT want to share the account; bad things happen Evil evil thigns...
But in all seriousness; if two devices have the same iCloud; iCloud is told to merge and sync infomation between hte two and can't tell that it doesn't belong to the same person
