How to change host name entry for java instance using config tool

Hi Gurus,
We are trying to invoke DR for dual stack SAP PI system.Strategy followed is BR Tool backup and restore method.
We are able bring up ABAP stack and it is still pointing to production Java stack.
Could any one please guide us with step by step procedure to change entries and bringing up java stack for DR system.
While bringing up java instance we are facing below issues
From starting framework it goes back to collecting data stack.

Hi Avadhesh,
For dual stack systems backup/restore method is not recommended procedure for DR.
As it will have hostnames from Production.
Good approach will be to have export of Production Java stack and import the same into DR OR
Have the DR system installed using virtual hostnames which are similar to Production hostname.
When DR needs to be operational enable these virtual hostnames.

you can change it in System Landscape directory.
Go to the http:yourportal.com:50000/sld
then click on the Landscape and update the new host name.

Thanks for your attention for my humble problem.
I have performed Meeting Place Express configuration through the “net” command.
But now unfortunately I can't connect to meeting place through web browser. I just get blank page.
Though I can reach the server with help of ssh. I think my DNS works properly because I can resolve the ip address of cumpxvoice .uclab.com and cumpxweb. uclab.com with help of dig command.
Have you any idea?

i have installed ecc6 in my computer.But after installation is completed i want to change my computer(system) name.If i change the computer name is there any problem occur.May i change computer name after installation also.

how do i changing host name after install. it never asked me for one and now its stuck on unknown.

How to change host name or host ip in AIA after installation

we have AIA11.1.1.5.0 and O2C PIP installed.
we need to change host name used in AIA to some different value.
Could you please suggest what all steps are required for this.

1) Make a full backup of your XI 3.1 system (both database and file repository)
2) Change the hostname
3) Create a new SIA with all defaults servers using the CCM. Make sure that you instruct the CMS to use the same database connection as before. I ould advise you to change the default CMS and SIA ports.
4) Run the "Update objects" command in the CCM on the new SIA
5) Stop the old SIA and change the ports for the new SIA and the CMS to the default values (if required)
6) Remove the old SIA in the CCM
7) Go into to the CMC and try to delete any remaining servers from the old SIA.
Please note that after completing the above workflow you have to reconfigure some of the servers' settings again in the CMC

Configuring Logon groups for JAVA instances using NWA method

we have a BI dual System landscape ( CI ABAP+ JAVA plus 2 dialog instance ABAP+JAVA, based on NW04s. I have set up a Web Dispatcher to do a load balancing for JAVA instances. I configured the logon groups according this documentation using NWA (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/45/3dbe11a82b6bf1e10000000a1553f6/content.htm).
The following points are still quite unclear for me:
1. according documentation I should specify the following profile parameters:
[Define the special HTTP URLs, which SAP Web Dispatcher uses to send to the AS Java to retrieve the logon groups information]
wdisp/J2EE/group_info_location = [?] /JavaEE/public/icf_info/icr_groups
wdisp/J2EE/url_map_location = [?] /JavaEE/public/icf_info/icr_urlprefix
Wich values should i take here actually? These one or /J2EE/icr_groups and /J2EE/icr_urlprefix ?
2. Also I have to configure (in visual administrator) the GroupInfoRequest and UrlMapRequest properties of the HTTP Provider service running on server processes. They recommend to use /J2EE/icr_groups and /J2EE/icr_urlprefix. Should it be the same values as defined in those profile parameters?

Is it possible to proof somehow while using my URL http://<host>:<port>/TestApp~test/<application_resource> either im web dispatcher (traces?) or on a web site on which DI I actually land to be sure that my load balancing works properly and i don't land on my Central Instance?

Understood, Install the web dispatcher and configre the ABAP Message Server Port and ms/http_port (T-CODE:SMMS). Test this link
http://host:port/sap/public/icf_info/icr_groups
and this would retrieve the list of ABAP (SMLG) cofigured groups.
For java load balancing, icm of that host will send the incoming requests to JAVA Dispatcher. The load balancing happens on the basis of server nodes and can be found in the web dispatcher session dispatching table.
There are no necessary parameters required for java load balancing except the number of server nodes you'll hookup to that dispatcher.
There is an option called service based, where we configure the j2ee hosts to accept the connections for the services which are running but I haven't seen much customers using this option.
Bottom line: No changes are required for java side and enable the "ext rfc" option for abap logon groups and rest will be taken care by Web Dispatcher.
Use connection pooling and high timeouts to acheive the better througput and use the SSL termination on Web Disp.

what does here saplb_STD_JAVA mean?
you can use following URLs to access any particular Java Server node of any server.
https://<host name>:<https port>/irj/portal;saplb_*=<Java serer node number> https://<host name>:<https port>/irj/portal;sapj2ee_irj=<Java server node number>
What is the difference between saplb_* and sapj2ee_irj?

Is it possible to change the host name in XI 3.1 without reinstall ?

In the em console , all the urls hostnames are invalid , So the URLs are not working proerly.
ex:

I have installed a SAP ECC 6 ehp4 on MS sql server 2008 R2 with MS windows 2008 R2 OS. While installing sql server i have selected named instance from window(default instance, named instance). and given name QAS.
and installed ECC6 ehp4 ABAP engine successfully. now i want to change the name of mssql server's named instance name to DEV.
kindly let me know
which one is the best and easy solution
1. changing the name of named istance at database level and SAP.
2. or uninstalling the existing SAP, DB and start from scratch.

How to get Sharepoint OAuth clientId for Java application used in any tenant

I'm developing a web application for Office365 using the SharePoint 2013 REST service.
This app is hosted by my web server. The development language is Java.
I plan that users in any tenant use my app via OAuth.
How can I register my app to get clientId for OAuth?
I attempted to register my app by seller dashboard, but it seemed like register applications
to seller dashboard should be developed by .NET. And I couldn't use appregnew.aspx
because cilentId from appregnew.aspx could use only in one tenant.
Please let me know any better way to register my app.

SharePoint 2013 provide three types of app, SharePoint-hosted app, Provider-hosted app and Autohosted app. Which one do you used?

Described parameters are used for following things.
1. Dorg.w3c.www.protocol.http.connections.max
Use:- The maximum number of connections the client side API is allowed to use to external servers.
type
2. Dorg.w3c.www.protocol.http.connections.timeout
Use:-
The timeout on the client socket
3. Dorg.w3c.www.protocol.http.connections.conntime

The Connection timings to the RAC instances
