How to change Hostname from Physical to Logical in R1213

Hi,
We installed and upgraded applications to R1213,
installed R1211 using normal installation method,
now we want to change Physical name to Logical Name for Database+CM(both reside in same server).
Please suggest how we can achive this.

We used physical hostname at the time of R1211 install instead of using Logical Server name.
Now our OS team want Logical name instead of Physical name.

By using the physical name you are tying us to a particular piece of hardware and making it very difficult to upgrade the hardware in the future. Is it possible for you to reconfigure your apps in those environments to use the logical names as is correct?

I have tried that and cannot get it to work.
I have tried to make a procedure with:
parameter
- parallel fase
- step directive with hostname parm based on simple sh script (echo $hostname)
- map hostname setvalue %TargetName%
In a hostcmd step you cannot access %TargetName% directly
it doesn't work. Please come with an example if you have tried it.

Right click on any of these files and do a Get Info. Notice that there is, in fact, a Disc number field. So you can make disc numbers 1/10, 2/10 and so on.
iTunes and the iPod are both smart enough to recognize that there are disc numbers there and act correctly. So it'll start with Disc 1, play all that disc, then go to Disc 2, and so forth. It's just a matter of having correct disc number tags.
You can tag disc numbers for a whole disc at once. Simply select all the songs in a single disc (hold SHIFT or CTRL while selecting the songs), right click, Get Info, and you get the mass tag editor screen. Add the disc number info for this disc, and it'll tag that info to all those songs. Repeat for each disc.

I think you have to sign into your Amazon Kindle Account, find the book in your archive and delete it there. Otherwise you can delete it from the device and leave it in the archive, should you want to look at it again.

Dear ,
1.Go to Transaction Code KS02 - change cost center and in the next screen go to Menu bar > Edit > Analysis Period.This will pop up another window - in this you can change the analyis period and save it.
2.Or Use the tcode OKEON from the hierrachy choose the cost center in the basic data tab u will see one button named Validity period.Change the validity there.
3.You can do it using 'KSH2' transaction.Open the hirarchy and select your cost center. now select the business area and new hirarchy node where you want to move it. and click on 'INSERT AT LOWER LEVEL' to move the cost center from one business area to another.

If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.
Note that you will need an account in the UK iTunes Store to use it.

I don't see a reply so I'll take a shot. Just like you have 0-9 for numbers and you can arrange them anyway you want, you still only have 0-9. You have the physical (system block and datafiles) which are somewhat static. Then you have the the logical (tablespace, segements, extents)which are volatile and connected by chaining (links) which may be all over the place in the physical but appears to be one whole unit in the logical. Just like an image on a TV screen wearing a red hat, you see a red hat (logical) but it is actual pixels which are chained or linked (data pointers) to each other by the color red. I hope that helps until someone comes by with a better answer.

I have a requirement to change the from email address of all the outbound notifications in an instance.
Presently our notifications are having from address as R12 Workflow Mailer ["[email protected]"]
We want to change this to ABC. So that all the outbound notifications will have
ABC as from email address.
How do we achieve this ? Is there any mailer level setting for this ?

Hi,
The 'From' value in the email notification is derived from 'From' parameter value, but the actual email address used for 'From' field is the 'Reply-to Address' parameter value that is specified for the mailer. If you want to specify a different email address you can change the 'Reply-to Address' parameter value.
You can also specify the From value based on the kind of notification you send, you can do it by defining the #WFM_FROM message attribute as specified below
• #WFM_FROM - Define this attribute for a message to specify the value that appears in the From field of the message header when the e-mail notification message is delivered to a user. If the #WFM_FROM message attribute is defined for a notification, the notification mailer that sends the message will use the #WFM_FROM attribute value in the From field for that message, overriding the mailer’s From parameter value

Requirements is like this: In Internet expense a supervisor create a expense report behalf of his subordinates. when he submit for the manager approval. in the notification of Manager approval it shows the subordinate name in the 'from' this is the standard.. but i need to display the name of creator that is supervisor name in the from.

I am not sure about how to change SERVICE_NAME in PL/SQL Developer (if at all it can be done in that ), but you will have to change the SERVICE_NAME in the TNSNAMES.ORA file.
1. Locate the entry for PLSExtProc in the file tnsnames.ora at:
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora
2. Change the SERVICE_NAME = ORCL
3. Save and reconnect

HT1349 I changed my passcode lock and typed it in 2x to confirm it. Now that I type exactlly what I put in it keeps telling me to connect to ITunes. Now I dont know how to change it from there

New to blackberry. I would like to know how I can change the "From" field when you send an email from the phone to a name or email address I want it to say.
Here is my email situation:
My email address is ''[email protected]" (which i purchased) and anbody who sends an email to me gets forwarded to my yahoo email account. In yahoo I created an "alias" "[email protected]" so when I send an email, nobody sees my actual yahoo account which I want to keep private. How do I do this?

You couldn't find any solution because there is none given your current configuration.
You're receiving your email from your Yahoo account - not your peronal domain account. It's kind of a security issue for you not to be able to forge an email address on your BlackBerry. In fact, you can't change the FROM address when replying at all on a BlackBerry. You can forward using another email address that's set up on the device, but you can't manually enter a FROM address even when forwarding.
First thing to do is to set up your personal email account through your BIS setup.
Once you've done that, you can either stop forwarding your personal email to your Yahoo account, OR filter your personal email to NOT be forwarded to your device through your Yahoo BIS setup, OR have your personal email filtered on your Yahoo account and delivered to a folder other than the Inbox and it shouldn't be seen by your BIS setup.

I have done this by calling CREATE_CONTROLLER from the flow logic Event .
This is working fine,but the flow logic page appears even when the Contoller gets called & the controller view gets loaded.
I want to Navigate to the Controllers View .I tried this using NAVIGATE->next_page( ).But this is not working

Hi Ajitabh,
I don't think that is right to call a controller using the flow-logic programing-model. You have to use the MVC programing-model. There it is possible an right to work with controller.
In flow-logic you just have to use pages you create in your bsp-application. Then you can navigate with the code:
CASE event_id.
WHEN 'button1'. navigate->goto_page( 'page2.htm' ).
ENDCASE.
The code in your layout should be like this for a button:
<input type="submit" name="OnInputProcessing(button1)" value="to-page-2">

Change OEM to virtual hostname from physical hostname.

Hi,
we access our OEM using physical hostname. It has been working like this from some time now. Is it possible that now we change physical hostname to virtual hostname i.e. we want to access OEM via virtual hostname.
We are concerned about the high availability of our OEM. so in order to install multiple oms homes on different servers we need to have first OEM running on virtual hostname. what changes we need to make on OMS side ?
Let me know if more information is required on this. We are on 10.2.0.3 grid control running on sun solaris and some 100 targets added to it.
