  • Satellite C660 - How to change from 32 bit to 64 bit operating system?

Can some one please tell me how to change from a 32 bit to a 64 bit operating system for my Toshiba Satellite C660 Notebook?
No cds came with my notebook so I can't restore.
I installed the 32 bit when setting up by mistake and would now like to change.
    Thanks in advance

    >No cds came with my notebook so I can't restore.
In user manual you could find a info that recovery disk needs to be created using preinstalled software called Toshiba Recovery Media (disk) Creator
    >I installed the 32 bit when setting up by mistake and would now like to change.
The Toshiba image of some notebook models contains the Win 7 32bit and 64bit system.
Not sure if your image supports both versions so cannot say for sure if you would be able to switch to 64bit but try this:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
During HDD recovery procedure you should be asked what version you want to chooseof course if both versions would be available so check thisotherwise you will need to purchase an 64bit version.

  • Does anyone know how to change a 24-bit bitmap to a 10-bit bitmap in LabVIEW?

I need to do a LabVIEW program that changes a 24-bit bitmap to a 10-bit bitmap. If there is a way to perform this task, please let me know.
If it is easier to do, it could be a LabVIEW program that changes an 8-bit bitmap to a 10-bit bitmap. I just need to end up with a 10-bit bitmap.

10 bit bitmaps are not any standard Windows or other computer OS formats. Most Windows programs certainly would fail completely to load such a bitmap. Where do you need such a bitmap?
Also a 10 bit bitmap is likely a bitmap with 10 color bits reserved per pixel, and not a paletized bitmap but who knows? 8-bit bitmaps however are always paletized!
Since 10 is not dividable by 3 there will be different numbers of bits per color, so you would have to know which colors will use 3 bits and which color will be 4 bits. Last but not least you would need to know if the 10bit pixels are actually packed together, or simply filled to 16bits per pixel and what the padded line length would be.
Lots of unnown variables, also due to its non-standard character!!
For the rest exactly the same will apply as mentioned in the other thread about creating an 8bit bitmap from a 24bit bitmap.

  • Bridge CS4 only opens PS CS4 64bit -- How to change to 32 bit?

Opening a RAW file in Bridge CS4 automatically opens Photoshop CS4-64bit (via Camera RAW). Is there any way to have it automatically open the 32-bit version instead?

I'd like the option to choose EITHER the 32-bit OR the 64-bit version for RAW or for JPGs. It is not obvious how to do this.

  • Qosmio X505 - How to change from 64bit to 32bit?

I just got my new qosmio x505
bij setup I missed the part where you can choose between 32 and 64bit so I have 64bit on it now, but most of my programms wont work now.
How to change to 32 bit?

    hi
also from licence perspective it is not allowed. if machine comes with a win7 x64 OEM licence you are not allowed to install win 7 32 bit. (it also should not be possible with the key provided on the licence sticker)
Only if you buy a full version you can choose (NOT OEM!), within the Retail! Version normaly both (32 and 64 bit) DVD's are included but you only allowed to install only one Version on one PC (32 OR 64 Bit) ...if you buy OEM (only allowed with new PC or HDD) you have to buy 32 Bit OR 64 Bit Version. (also no installsupport included in the OEM Versions)
So from this point of view... you have to buy a full retail version of windows 7 or a new hdd with an 32 Bit OEM WIN7 in order to do not have licence issues.
    (OEM versions are always cheaper)

  • IHow do I know what the bit details are on an image and how to change it?

I wanted to send some wildlife images to a magazine who required us to send  quality size 10
saved at 300dpi and then to send a copy of the same images at 72dpi and 8bit NOT 16bit.
I have no idea what they are requesting so please:-
    1) How do I discover the details of my photograhs ie resolution 300dpi or 72dpi and how do I change it.
    2) How do I discover the bit on images and again how do I change it as requested by the magazine.
Please please keep it simple as I am getting on a bit  (pardon the pun) and do not understand computers.
Photoshop Elements 8  seems so complicated
    Thank you for any help.
    Brian Holland

    Hi Barbara,
Firstly I hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you a happy and healthy
    new year.
I have been experimenting with colour changes in my Photoshop Elements 8 and
am encouraged having changed the colour of my car in the image.
I now would like to know how I change images that are black i.e. a crow in a
photograph or change the white in a photograph i.e. a swan.
I have looked at the Adjust Hue and Saturation and then the 'Master' but
there does not seem to be a facility to change black and white.
Also confused by Magenta and Cyan what colours do they represent please
should I ever need to use them?.
Thank you again for your help.
    Brian.
PS Have also been experimenting with text and shapes and can now alter the
colours of each and with text vary the font, colour, and style. Progress for
an old chap of seventy three.

  • HT3696 How its' possible to change from 32 bit to 64 bit Processor for MacMini?

How its' possible to change from 32 bit to 64 bit Processor for MacMini? Mini?

You probably have a Core Solo or Core Duo model. You can upgrade the CPU to a 64-bit Core 2 Duo in the T7200-T7600 family.
iFixit and OWC provide easy-to-follow, step-by-step guides. It's a delicate procedure, but not overly difficult. I'm all thumbs, and I have done it twice.

  • How to change SID on a SAP System with Maxdb ?

    Hello,
I've tryed to migrate /clone a productive system from physical to virtual for testing, and it went OK.
Now, i've done the same to another physical machine and SAP 4.6C r3 goes up,as well as the database MaxDB 7.5 on the new machine.
but now i have two problems:
First, the license key: i have to request a new one. i believe that i can do it using https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/licensekey
Second: the SID is the same, as i have clone the system from one side to another. Same OS, same kernel, etc etc etc.
In order to achieve the possibility to transform the new cloned system in a DEV system for my SAP landscape, i must rename the <sid> of my SAP.
I've changed already the SAPSYSTEMNAME = PRD to SAPSYSTEMNAME = DEV, created a new user like "devadm" renamed the directories where i could find "prd" to "dev" and even in the /home/<sid>adm files i've changed everything from PRD to DEV.
However, this have not worked for me. As that did not worked out, made the "cloning" again. And now i' again with the problem of entering the new license key ( i believe i can request it via that webpage mention above) and changing the <sid> of the system.
Is there any sap not where i can see how to change the <sid> / SAPSYSTEMNAME ?
    Thank you
my system is a RHEL5 with MaxDB 7.5 64 bits
    Filipe

    Hi Filipe,
afaik the SID of a SAP instance cannot be changed later on.
But this is not a db-topic - so you're basically asking the wrong people here in the forum.
Perhabs is more suited for this question.
Concerning the licensekey : yes, you will need a new one if you change the hardware or db platform.

  • How to change the default text style?

The MacOS system seems to maintain a collection of text 'styles' available in applications such as TextEdit, Bean, MacJournal, Notebook and DevonThink. This collection contains a default style, used by some (but not all) of these applications as the default text style for new documents.
At my computers this default style is characterized in the 'favorite styles' panel as 'left aligned, spacing 0.0x' and it has strange tab stops (0.99, 1.98, 2.96, 3.95, 4.94, 5.93, 6.91, 7.90, 8.89, 9.89, 10.86, 11.85 cm).
I prefer tab stops at 1.00, 2.00, 3.00 etc., and 1.2x line spacing.
I guess I have changed the default style by accident, as I cannot imagine Apple putting such strange tab stops in a default style (0.0x spacing sounds a bit strange too). If so, it must somehow be possible to change the default style.
I have tried to change the default style via TextEdit (which does not use the default style as default, but spacing 1.0x and tab stop at each centimeter) and several other applications (Bean, MacJournal, Notebook) in the following way: select a piece of text with the intended format, open the document styles panel, click 'Add to Favorites', enter 'Default' as the name for the style and click 'Replace'. Unfortunately, that doesn't work. Although I do not get an error message, the Default style hasn't changed. I can save my preferred style as, for example, 'Preferred' but that does not prevent MacJournal and other applications from using Default for every new document.
Any idea how to change this default style, or, if that is not possible, reset it to its original state?

I suggest you have a look at [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/stationery/?src=api Stationery].
It won't help you in defining styles, as such, but will give you templates wherein you can set up styles.
