How to change location of images without disrupting the website?

I loved using dreamweaver from the start but now I kind of hate it. So I am currently working on a website for a school project and my teacher wants the root folder to be neat, so I tried to make it tidy by sorting all the images I used in my root folder to a subfolder BUT that made every image on my website dissapear, I thought that dreamweaver would detect and immediately search for the images again like any other software would do, for example like Sony Vegas Pro, but it didn't and I'm disapointed . And so I thought that I should just recover the images manually but guess what? IT GOES BACK TO ITS ORIGINAL FORMAT!!!! Thanks to dreamweaver, now I have to waste another hour of reformatting the exact same thing as before.
I hope someone here would help me with this difficult situation, thanks.

If you're working within a Defined Local Site folder in DW, you can create folders and move files into those folders from the DW Files Panel (F8). DW will intuitively ask if you want to update links. Hit YES.
If you did all this outside DW or you don't have a Defined Site, you're stuck with bad links. You'll need to use Find & Replace (Ctrl+F) to set your link paths to where they need to be.

For an automated EPS-export using AppleScript and Illustrator CS4 on a G5 Mac running Mac OS X I need to change a global swatch's color. It needs to go form black:75 to black:55 and remain global, thereby changing the color of all the path items in the document. It works very well with a doubleclick on the swatch.
While changing the color seems to be quite trivial with "set properties of swatch to {color:{black:55}}", it then loses the global.
All my beatiful boxes remain dark grey, looking awful and depressed.
Please tell me there's a way to help me!

I use Javascript.
Global swatches are kept inside the active document as spot colors, so instead of swatches[i] you need to address spots[i].
And then it works.

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.
Read this from a site I found:
Sending Graphical Attachments -- When you attach a graphical image to your message, the recipient of your message sees the image inline (that is, in the body of the message) if her email client supports inline display. On the one hand, an inline image is easier for the recipient to see - all she has to do is look at it. On the other hand, inline images can be frustrating to scroll through. You can also Ctrl click on the image, save the image to your desktop and open it in Photoshop.

I don't see any point to copying and pasting from a browser into a new file in Photoshop.
If you want to put an image onto an already open image in Photoshop, use the File > Place... command and select your saved image.

Consider adding the delete symbol to the Finder window tool bar. This way you can highlight all the photos you want to delete at the same time then hit the "delete" symbol.

I've tried two images, the results were:
Image 1
Jpg, original file size 923KB, dimensions 848px x 279px.
After resizing to 848px x 180px with 72dpi, the file size decreased to 164KB.
Image 2
Jpg, original file size 809KB, dimensions 1200px x 1800px.
After resizing to 668px x 722px with 72dpi, the file size decreased to 307KB.
So, there seems to be a fair file size loss - is this to be expected?

As iMovie doesn't orient after Time - but only after Video/Photo clips is this not so easy to do.
I use black photos as Dummy clips - and put them into a new project first
then I add the Music I want
Then I drop the Video-clip (that I realy want) ontop of the black dummy photo - Where it's supposed to be - THEN IF advanced tools are selected (in iMovie preferences) there will be a Drop-Down menu and here I can select to do a Cutaway - and select not to add the audio from it (or in wave-form just silence it out)

Are you trying to reduce the visual clutter on the phone, save space on the phone, or limit the security exposure if your phone is stolen?
If you are only wanting to reduce the visual clutter and make scrolling through the list faster, you could set up a group on the computer containing only the contacts you want to see on my phone (called, for example, "Show on my Phone") and enable only that group inside Contacts on the phone. You might even have one or more existing groups that you could enable that way (maybe "Family" and "Personal").

If you re-format it you will lose all the data on it!!!!! So make sure you have backed up the drive or moved all the data on it to another external HD or the internal HD on your iMac.
