How to change my resolution to 1080p@120hz?

I have mac mini late 2012 and BenQ XL2420t, connected through minidisplayport -> displayport, but macos settings lets me change resolution to 1080p@100hz maximum.
Is there any way to fix this problem?

Yeah, I cant guarantee it but...
Dual-link DVI
To support display devices requiring higher video bandwidth, there is provision for a dual DVI link. A dual link doubles the number of TMDS pairs, effectively doubling video bandwidth at a given pixel clock frequency. The DVI specification mandates how the dual link may be used. All display modes that use a pixel clock below 165 MHz, and have at most 24 bits per pixel, are required to use single-link mode. All modes that require more than 24 bits per pixel, and/or 165 MHz pixel clock frequency must use dual-link mode. In modes where each pixel uses 24 bits of color data per pixel or less and dual-link mode is in use, the transmitter stripes pixel data across both links; each sequential video pixel is transmitted on alternate links. In modes with color depth greater than 24 bits per pixel, the second link carries the least significant bits of each pixel.

Sorry to say reloading WebOS did not help this issue on my TP. contacted Support and was told to send it.Even sorrier to say that my TP is now lost. My tracking number reports it as delievered on Dec 5, but HP has no record of it.When I got back on Chat they  are now also telling me that my TP serial number is a EU model, even though my box clearly states HP Touchpad ,US, 1.20,32gb,Wifi.
Not sure what that even has to do with it being lost now..if it is as they say and no warranty on it in US I just want it sent back.

  • How to Change Sequence Resolution After Setting Your Sequence Resolution

Hello, I am using premiere pro on a mac and I started a project. I set my sequence settings. After putting together my movie and prepared it for export, I noticed that I initially made a mistake in my sequence settings and forgot to set my resolution to 1080p.
I tried going back into my sequence settings and changing the resolution but it is grey and not accessible.
Is there a way to either change the resolution or somehow duplicate the sequence into a new one with a higher resolution?
I spent much time on this sequence and I do not want to do it all over again due to a little mistake.
    Please help?!
    Thanks.

Thank you for the quick response. How do you copy paste a whole sequence into a new one?

  • How to Change the Resolution on the Monitor? Model HP 2011X- (20" flat screen monitor)

"input signal out of range, change settings to 1600 x 900 -60HZ" How to make this change?
I have a HP desktop PC and I recently purchased a HP 2011X  (20" flat monitor). Initially, I hooked it up to the pc and it worked and I did not have to install anything. But the other day, I ran the Microsoft's Fix-it-Center and ran the resolution problem detection even though I did not have any problem with the resolution. Within 5 seconds, a dark black screen appeared with the following message:
    INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE
    CHANGE SETTINGS TO
    1600 X 900 - 60HZ
It displays this message and then the monitor goes to sleep. I press the buttons at the bottom of the monitor and from time to time, it displays a resolution screen that shows the monitor's resolution is not 1600 x 900 but that HP recommends that setting. However, I cannot change anything and that small screen with black background disappears in a few seconds. I cannot see anything else and I have tried the following:
    - Turned the PC on and off several times and the message is still there
    - Unplugged the power to the monitor and re-plugged it and no change
    - Unplugges the video cable from the PC to the monitor and re-plugged it and nothing
Please help. I cannot see the PC screens at all even though the PC is on. All I see is the black background screen with white text with the above message. How do I fix this when I cannot see the Windows screen or from the monitor.
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hello IE_PC_User,
Let's try to get your computer to the boot options and go into VGA mode to see if you can change the resolution then.
Start up your computer and start tapping away at the F8 key.
Once the computer presents you with the boot options choose the VGA mdoe.
It should boot up and everything look really out of place. Set the proper resolution and then reboot.

  • HP Officejet 8600 Pro - how to change scan resolution presets at the printer

I have an HP Officejet 8600 Pro and wish to scan to email from the printer and wish to change the default resolution setting.   I would like to change the default scan resolution so I dont have to remember to change it every time I scan.
If I change it with the HP Windows Printer Assistant software it only seems to change the resolution for this time and only from the computer not at the printer.
Is it possible to change the scan resolution settings at the printer? I cant find detail in the manual or on the printer console.

    bvlusa,
Open the Icon labeled Officjet Pro 8600 on your desktop, and then click on Scan a Document or Photo. When the Scan application window opens you can change the Resolution from the drop down menu.
    I hope this helps.

  • How to change the resolution of a file?

Hi, can someone please help me. I am working with illustrator CS and I am exporting a file as a jpeg. I need to print that file so when i export it i am changing the resolution to 150dpi. When i open the file in windows picture manager edit it and save the changes the file turns black and it prints a black page. This only happens when i change the resolution to 150dpi or higher if i leave it at 72dpi and make changes i don't have problems it will save fine. I have tried many different things but no luck. Hope someone here can help me. thank you.

Sounds like an issue with your image editor. BTW if you plan on editing the image you should use a lossless format from Illustrator to the editor then save as a jpg. Each time you save the jpg more and more data gets thrown out until it unusable.

  • How to change the resolution of a page in iWeb

    Hi,
I'm making a website for a project, and I decided to do it in iWeb. The brief of mt project says the resolution has to be 1024*768, however, when I change the resolution to this, the page instantly looks horrible with a white border to the right of my content. Is there a way to change this, or centre my content in the white part?
    Thanks,
    Jonny.

There is no formula for a web page and you have to consider the type of content and what device the viewer is using.
A "standard" width for a conventional webpage could be considered to be 980px with a page height of no more than about 1200px to avoid too much scrolling. Any page that is much higher than this should, at least, have a "back to the top" button...
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/iWeb/Navigation.html
The browser width on personal computers is user adjustable and not everybody wants to fill the whole screen width.
The browser width on mobile devices is fixed and the user only has the option of portrait or landscape orientation.
US letter size is 8.5 inches wide by 11 high (816 x 1056 px) and the European A4 is 8.27 × 11.69 (794 x 1123 px). Either would be a good starting point for an e-zine.
The iPad is 768 px wide in portrait mode but remember that its not the only tablet available. I think Kindle is 600px wide and others are smaller.
Text on wide pages is difficult to read - hence the use of columns in magazines and newspapers.
Designing web pages for mobile devices in general is not possible with iWeb since it can only use a fixed page width. An example of a folding column magazine style layout can be found on this page...

  • How to change image resolution in oracle forms.

    Hi Experts,
I am working on oracle forms 10g (Windows7 OS). Can we get the image resolution of an image item in oracle forms? Can we resize the image in terms of resolution?
I have a requirement where user can upload only 1280x720 size images. Either i have to validate the image resolution and give them a message saying 'Only 1280x720 size images are allowed' or simply i have to convert the image to be upload to 1280x720 size and save in the database. If someone could give the solution for the above problem that would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Pramod SR

    1. You need to resample.
    2. You can automate the process.
    1.
    Open one of the images.
Go to Image > Image Size
Set the units to Percent (100)
Change the resolution to 300 ppi (not cm!)
    Make sure Resample is checked
    2. automation
Test the above steps to make sure it works.
Record the steps as an action.
Make a droplet from the action.
Drag the folder with the images to the droplet.

  • How to change webcam resolution

    Hi,
I have a USB device to capture HDMI sources that I use to record from my camera. The device uses UVC so it's the same as a webcam for any Windows application.
The USB can output multiple resolution from SD to HD. However, I can't seem to be able to choose the recording resolution when I use it in Adobe Premiere Elements. It always record in 720x480, although in VLC, I can use it to record in 1080p.
Right now, I can record in VLC in 1080p then import in Premiere, but I would prefer to just be able to change the webcam resolution in Premiere!
    Jonathan

    Jonathan
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
I have run into the same problem. There are other reports of this problem as well. I have a HD webcam that will only display as SD when used through the Premiere Elements Add Media/Webcam or WDM.
I have planned to analyze this in a blog post but have not gotten around to it yet.
Right now I do not think there is a fix other than to find that certain HD webcam that Premiere Elements will recognize as HD. That seems to be the case in this online video tutorial
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XebjDAeE7M
Note at the end how the output looks 16:9 rather than 4:3. For informational rather than promotional reasons I mention that it looks like a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C92 was used in that video tutorial on the Premiere Elements 12 webcam feature.
    More later.

  • Apple TV freezes when changing TV Resolution to 1080p HD

We just got a new Samsung 1080p HD TV. When I tried to change the Apple TV's TV Resolution in Settings > Audio Video > TV Resolution, I can scroll down to highlight 1080p HD, but as soon as I press Select on the remote, the Apple TV freezes. The only way I can get out of that screen is by holding Menu and - on the remote for six seconds and rebooting the TV.
Any suggestions for how I can fix this problem?
    Thanks!

you might want to be carefull about what you are discussing here, as it is clearly an unauthorised hack you are running, and as such would not be allowed to be discussed on here.
i know what you mean when you say "launcher 2.2" but others might not and assume it is some sort of official apple setting.

  • How to change output resolution?

    Hi!
I have a 13" MacBook Pro, and am using the Dr. Bott Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter Pro with Optical Audio to connect to my Samsung LE22B47 TV.
The resolution of the TV is 1366x768, but the best output resolution for it my Mac offers is 1344x756. It's ok, but it's not great.
How can I change the output resolution so it fits the screen perfectly? I've heard about ScreenResX - is that any good and easy to use?

  • Change display resolution to 1080p

I'd like to get my new Mini to output a 1080p signal, as my new Westinghouse LVM37W3 LCD display accepts 1080p. However, 1080p is not a resolution that can be selected in the display control panel -- only 1080i.
Anyone solved this issue already? The best I have come up with is to define a custom resolution with the shareware app Switch ResX, but I'd prefer to just use OSX...

To those who research this question in the future: The Switch ResX control panel, available as shareware, does a beautiful job at this. With the unregistered version, you can add one additional resolution to the standard set offered by Apple in the "monitors" control panel. If you use the Switch ResX control panel to define the resolution, then restart, you can select the new resoltuion. I had to then restart again for it the settings to work.
For those asking why, wherefore, etc:
The reason I want the monitor to be fed a 1080p signal is that 1080p is its native resolution; all flat panel/ fixed resoltuion displays look best at their native resolution. 1080i requires the display to re-create the progressive scan image, and is near-unreadable as a computer display.
Some might ask, why set to 1080p at all? Why not work in 720p, for example? The answer is that in general 720p is in fact better for me, biven the distance I sit from the display. However, for some applications like Garageband I need more desktop real estate not dedicated to toolbars, menus, etc. Finally I am curious to see how well the mini does at upscaling DVD content relative to the chip in my monitor.
As to whether it is possible via DVI, all I can tell you is that I did it yesterday evening and the display looked awesome. So I'm guessing it is possible.
The seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about the "demands" of 1080p out there. So far my experience has been that the Mini core duo handles the output of 1080p with aplomb, as do the cables, display, etc etc.

  • How to change Screen resolution

Hi - I installed enterprise linux on VMware running on windows 7. The screen resolution show 800x600 which sucks. How can i change the screen resolution? thanks

You need to install VMware Tools, which will allow the VM to have a better screen resolution and color depth, a gigabit network connection and intelligent memory management. Also set your monitor to a device that supports the higher resolution.

  • How to change render resolution of After Effects project in Adobe Media Encoder for an H264 preview?

I'd like to render a 1080i comp at half resolution or third resolution in AME to speed up render times for low-res previews. I just had a low-res H264 preview take 5 minutes to encode in AE, and 28 minutes in AME.
This is easily accomplished in the After Effects render settings. However, the "video" option in AME seems to imply the project is encoded at that resolution, not rendered at it.
I went into AE and changed the setting in the composition viewport to "half", but when I queue it up in AME, the "Match Source" button still indicates 1080.
What is the correct method to get the results I want?
I'm currently using AE CC and AME CC on Windows.

Thanks for taking the time to answer this question. Knowing this isn't possible at least narrows my options down. It would be helpful to provide some kind of list of what comp settings carry over into AME from After Effects. Is it essentially everything that is enabled in the Timeline? (I know that motion blur settings do.)
I'll put this in a feature request, but yes, we need the other half of After Effects Render Queue in AME in order for AME to be a good replacement for rendering from AE. I'll give you my thoughts on why Render Settings are essential before you would actually want to render with AME instead of doing so because you have to (either because you want to render in the background, or need a codec that has been removed from AE.)
    1. Speed: Simply applying a Render Settings preset is much faster than manually setting motion blur, frame blending, work area, etc.
    2. Reliability: Not being able to apply a Render Settings preset at the time of render is a recipe for missing a crucial setting buried in a comp, then having to redo a render and wasting time.
    3. Features: As noted above, there is no way to approximate Render Queue's ability to change resolutions at render, which results in a lot of wasted time when that feature is needed.
Render Settings I think are crucial to making AME rendering worthwhile for AE users:
    1. Rendering resolution
    2. Work Area/Entire Composition toggle
    3. Field Rendering (wait, does this mean AME can't currently render to fields?)
    4. And PRESET ability these settings, so I'm not doing them manually every time.
I realize that your team clearly doesn't spend the same amount of time I do making low res H264 previews and sending final files out in H264 format, so you don't appreciate the impact of the changes you made. Moving to AME for that stuff is a real inconvenience, but implementing the settings above could help soften the blow.
    Thanks,
    Jerry
