How to change pictures to high resolution

What app do I use to change my pictures to high resolution?

Hello
I have found info that Tecra 8200 is delivered with two different displays:
1024x768 pixel TFT colour display and
1400x1050 pixel TFT colour display.
I presume you have the second one. If you use lower resolution you can not expect perfect illustration and please use native resolution. Please use right driver and you can find it on Toshiba support page.
Robin is right. Before you install Power saver utility install Common modules at first. Using power saver settings you will be able to set display brightness at the maximum level.

FaceTime freezes when I call my son's iPad. Calling his iPhone in the same room has no problems. The picture is high resolution. There are no freezes when calling my daughter's iPad but the picture is lower resolution. Can I troubleshoot this?

Thanks Mario, but I tried everything there before posting my question. I may not have been clear in my question since I accidently recorded the whole question as the title and tried to edit. In brief: I have no trouble connecting with my daughter's iPad or my son's iPhone. However, his iPad is sending much higher resolution pictures and we disconnect after about a minute.  Oddly, he can hear and see me while my screen first freezes, then goes black and gives me a message of "reconnecting" until it quits trying and shows the buttons to end or redial. The picture quality difference is what is leading me to believe it is bandwidth related. However, I get anywhere from 5 to 10 MB download speeds; usually closer to 10. Last summer, I had 4 granddaughters on their iPads, a grandson on his gaming device and me on cell phone or pc, all using the bandwidth at once with no complaints. If there is a way to lower his outgoing resolution, I think that would help.

Uncheck the option to sync music to your iPod from under the iPod's Music configuration pane and hit Apply.  After it has completed, retick the option and again hit Apply to resync all your music from your main iTunes library back to your iPod.
Or restore your iPod and start from scratch.

  • Change dimensions of 'high resolution photos' for digital printing

    Hi,
We recently placed a huge order, received our photos, and all of them had been blown up larger than what appeared in the album, heads were cut off, arms cut off, pictures were not centered. This was a problem for 4"by6" size, 5"by7", and 8"by10". When we inquired as to why and we were told that because we used 'high resolution' that the photos would come out larger no matter what company we used to process the digital prints. We were told that we could change the dimensions of each photo (squashing the photo to fit) but we don't know how to do that. Also, is there a way to do this to all of the photos at the same time?
Please explain, we don't know what to do at this point.
    We're very sad right now.

The company already told me that they will refund my money so that is not the problem.
The ratio differences is what the person told me initially too, however told me that I could also change the dimensions so that the photos would not be cropped and centered automatically...but that's not what I want to do, as it would leave white space on the sides and top, and I have several that I want to frame.
So what do I do now? I have 100's of pictures and over 90% of them have this problem. I used your software to enhance the photos, crop the photos, etc... but I don't see an area that explains to me what part of the image will be cropped out once they are sent out to print. Nor to I see an area that gives me a rectangular dimension to work from. If I have to crop these pictures to get them to turn out right, I need to get started on this right away.
When I print these on my own printer they seem to print just fine. There are too many to print this way, however.

  • Are JPEG 3504x2336 pixel pictures too high resolution for the photo books?

    Hi,
I am done creating my photo book and I am ready to order, but I'd like to know if my pictures are too high resolution. They are professional wedding pictures so they are 7.4 mb each JPEG 3504x2336 pixel pictures. (Last time, I printed through MyPublisher but the pages with multiple pictures didn't turn out well and they said it was because the resolution was too high so when they compressed the file for the pages with multiple pictures it didn't turn out well.) Will I run into the same problem if I print directly through Iphoto?
If I do need to lower the resolution, how do I do it, given that I've aready created the book?
Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
When you order the book it will be compressed and a PDF will be created. That PDF is what gets uploaded to Apple (via Kodak) for printing. So the best way to check your book before ordering is to create a PDF, then inspect it. Chances are, what you see in your PDF is what you will get printed.
To do this, select your book and do File > Print. You'll get an "Assembling book" progress bar. That can take several minutes. When done, you get the Print Dialog box. Click the PDF button and choose "Save as PDF..." Choose a name and location for the file (the Desktop is convenient) and Save. Then switch to the Finder and open that PDF in Preview. You might select a page or two and do a test print yourself, to see if the quality looks good. The PDF saves you from having to print out the whole book yourself to check for errors.
    Regards.

  • Infrared picture with high resolution

I'm very familiar with LabVIEW programming, have set up a couple of applications with ordinary cameras, but have never worked with IR  before. Now I'm interested in a infrared picture with as high resolution as possible, and I don't really need a video-film, one picture every 10 seconds is probably more than good enough. What's out there on the market for anything like this ?
    Martin

If by IR you mean thermal, high resolution and high cost are the norm.
FLIR is probably the largest supplier.  you can get HD resolution from a FLIR SC8300, but the cost in $200K+.  The FLIR SC line typically have resolutions of 640x512, but they are cooled cameras, which is part of the reason why they are so expensive.
On the lower end, still at around 640x480, you have the A615, around $20K, or the A65 at around $9K.  The A6x5/A3x5, and Ax5 series cameras all support GENiCAM, and work very well with NI Vision Development Module.

  • How do I burn a high resolution dvd from Final Cut

Compressors quality doesn't seem as good as the file that plays on my computer.  Please tell me there is a way to get the high resolution I see on my computer onto a DVD.  And how do I do it?  Step bye step...

    Hi
But if You want to do as good as is possibly with iDVD then read my notes.
    FCE/P to iDVD
    Several things
    • How to go from FCE/P to iDVD
    • Free space on Start-up hard disk
    • Encoding
    • Brand and type of DVDs used
    • Burn speed set
    • iDVD BUG
    • Chapters
How to go from FCE/P to iDVD I do
    • Disable Screen and Energy saver
    • IMPORTANT --> FIRST in FinalCut - Mix Down Audio under Sequence Menu / Render Only / Mix-down
    • Export out as a QuickTime .mov file
    • Select with Mark - Chapter Mark
    • Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)
    • NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION (IMPORTANT)
This QT.mov file I import into iDVD from within iDVD.
Free space on Start-up hard disk
I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)
    Encoding
    • I use Pro Quality encoding
Brand and type of DVDs used
    • I use Verbatim
    • I use DVD-R
    Burn speed set
    • I set down this to x4 (or x1)
    iDVD BUG
    • One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to
the iDVD project. It will notice and ask You to either Up-date or Cancel. Neither
    of them will work.
Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
    Use of Chapters
    • I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
    • NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it self
    • No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
(Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
them except at very beginning - still)
    Material used to build movie
    • video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this e.g. .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
    • audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
    • photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
Trash iDVD pref. file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.
    from post ??
May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

    Hi,

  • How to change picture message priority for selecting pictures?

I recently was making a picture message for a friend, and when I selected the add attachment icon it brings up the screen for you to select from your "gallery" or your "files"
Then you select which one and hit always select this option or only once.
I accidentally hit the files section and hit always select that option and honestly I don't want to have to go through all of my files every time to find my picture and would rather have it be gallery every time.
Does anyone know how to change this?
    Thank you.

  • Help- How do I Make a High Resolution Gif in Flash?

So I've been surfing the net trying to find a way to get a 100% resolution from Flash to Gif and can't find it.
Here is the deal, I've got CS5 Premium Suit and I started doing animation in photoshop. It took forever but once I got it done it looked awesome and I could easily transfer it into a gif via 'save for web and devices".
Because it was taking forever I decided to learn flash and after a day I got the basics pretty much figured out and made my first .swf file. I then went to turn it into a Gif and the resolution sucked and the timing was off. I found out that you can clean it up a bit through Publish settings which helped a lot but still any gradients are off.
Is there a way to get a high resolution gif out of Flash to look as good as my photoshop animation gif?
    Thanks in advance.

Hello? I posted this in the annimated tips sup-forum but I was told to ask it here. What is the deal with this. Is there even a way I can manualy adjust the compression of these files besides "losy" or "losless" because it sure it losing stuff in losless?
Is photoshop really the program I have to do my animation in if I want to maintain clearity in my graphics?
What the crap! Why would Adobe do this, Why is it compressing my files in such a way that is distorting the gradients and colors?
    Anyone?

  • Whenever i burn photos to a cd from iphoto it does it in a low resolution - how do i make it high resolution?

I need to print photos in a high quality resolution - my camera resolution can enlarge up to 16X20 in good quality but when i burn from iphoto to cd it burns in low res....how do I fix that? I don't see an option anywhere to indicate resolution...

As you don't tell us what version of iPhoto you have or how you're burning to disk, I'll guess you're using the Share -> Burn command to make the CD?
This makes a mini-library on the disk and is designed for sharing with other iPhoto users.
If you are doing this then I'll also guess that you're printing the Thumbnails from the Data folder.
Try using the File -> Export command to export the photos from the Library to a folder on the desktop. Then burn that with the Finder.
If I've guessed wrong post back

  • How do I get a high resolution pdf version of my pages document?

When exporting a pages document to the "best" version of PDF, the image is saved at a much lower resolution than what I need.  I have a 3.5 MB pages file that ends up converting to a PDF that ends up only at 268KB.  The quality just does not look professional at all.

    > Henrik it is way too complicated because Apple has made it so and offered absolutely no guidance or documentation to expalin their actions. Not only that the process is buggy. I still can't get ColorSync to reliably accept name changes or changes to the settings.
I wouldn't disagree, nor would others. It is true of ColorSync as it is of TrueType (no pun intended) that the scientific inventions haven't turned into social innovations, partly because of the lack of educational effort, partly because of the lack of implementation in system level software itself.
Is Microsoft doing any better than Apple? No. Witness the fact, for instance, that the Adobe OpenType Library, like the Adobe Type 1 Library, overwrites ISO-IEC 10646-Universal Coded Character Set (UCS). With better education and better implementation, there would be no market for this sort of thing.
So, who is going to be doing the educating? Well, if you look at the country I live in, Denmark with a population of some 5.4m which is about the same as the population of city of Hamburg to the south, then Denmark lodged a Defect Report on ISO-IEC 10646:1993 because Danish Standards and the Danish Language Agency did not accept that in a connected world, universal character information cannot by definition specify character semantics without unique language and locale metainformation. If the locale for Danish were published by the Danish Language Agency, not only would it have to publish that it was wrong to start with, but the sale of non-conformant font software and non-conformant e-paper software would also stop, because endusers would understand that information input certainly does not equal information output. So what stops publication? Well, the largest corporation in Scandinavia until the mid-nineties was Østasiatisk Kompagni A/S (East Asiatic Company) which until 1994 sold Heidelberg printing presses through Heidelberg Eastern Inc from the Rockies to the Atlantic coast and until 1998 sold Heidelberg printing presses in the East Asian markets where the Adobe font model was known to be unworkable since Xerox started publishing the implications for RIP architectures of higher abstraction levels in font software and system software.
As you know, the discussion within Apple 1988-1996 led to conflict, and almost to collapse. It is not the case that US capitalists are selling poor software to EU consumers; it is the case that EU consumers are driving the demand for the supply of poor software that lacks the abstraction levels for separating the realm of colourimetry information from the realm of imageable colourant, the realm of character information from the realm of imageable composition, and the realm of layout rendering order from the realm of logical reading order. Change takes time, although sometimes it seems that the time it takes is too long -:).

  • How will Reflow work with higher resolution mobile devices?

If the media queries are based on a resolution breakpoint, how will we be able to specify a mobile css design for new mobile devices with such high pixel density displays?

I haven't found a workaround for device pixel ratio but I have found that creating my sprite at double res and oversizing my images helps greatly with sharpness on hi-dpi displays. Reflow does allow for CSS3 background sizing which is great for resizing a single  sprited item across breakpoints.
SVG would be even better but OSX Mavericks has made illustrator unusable for the time being, so I'm using raster-only sprites.

  • How can I retain the high resolution of images saved in a PDF?

I'm using the trial version of Acrobat XI. The images are 1440dpi but always save ate 120dpi. The PDF is for the content of a picture book so I need to be able to save them at a minimum of 300dpi. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks for your reply CtDave
Unfortunately I can't find anything useful in Preferences >Convert to PDF >JPEG >Edit Settings
There are settings in Distiller that look more useful, but it appears that before they can be applied the Acrobat file has to be saved. It seems possible that it needs to be saved as a PostScript file and then converted to a PDF in Distiller, but this doesn't make any difference the way that I've (probably wrongly!) done this
.. I've changed the image in Acrobat and saved the file as .ps, but when I open the .ps file in Distiller with the new settings (Downsample Color Images: Bicubic Downsampling to 1400 pixels per inch for imahes above 1400 pixels per inch) and convert it to .pdf I find that the image is still reduced to 120dpi

  • How to change picture box into sentence

I need to make 3 picture boxes disappear when one of them is clicked and a sentence to appear in their place. For example if picture box 1 is clicked they all three disappear and the sentence "you have chosen picture box 1 appears"

Put a label and three pictureboxes on your form from the Toolbox.
The code below alters the label for the name of a picturebox clicked on and the picturebox's "disappear". Clicking on the label will make the label text return to "Waiting" and the picturebox's will "reappear". The label is
centered in the form whenever its text is changed.

Private Sub Form1_Load(sender As Object, e As EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
