How to Change Podcast Category

Our podcast is located here:

When we originally submitted our podcast, we did so using the category "Technology / Tech News."
We have since changed the wording of the summary description slightly, and changed the category tags to just "Technology" (with no subcategory). It is picking up the latest episodes, and even the updated summary, but not the changed category -- it is still stuck in Tech News.
Is there any way, other than changing the category tags in the feed (which we have already done), to get the iTunes store to reclassify our show -- in other words, to honor the change we have made in our category to Technology instead of Tech News.?

But I don't know how to see what actually gets published

I have a podcast that is feed via Blog Talk Radio. I need to change the category from investing to business in itunes for the podcast. How can I do this? I can't find a way to change it from investing since it is NOT a investment podcast. HELP!

Tha'ts the only method. The Store may take a few days to pick up changes. It's not really possible to comment further unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'. Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

If you are the podcast producer then it should be a matter of correcting the <itunes:category> tag in your feed.
If you want to edit the catagory for podcasts that you've already downloaded into iTunes use my script ChangeCategory.vbs.

Lil bit tricky issue.
My client has asked us to change the existing Item Category values, Combinations, Category Set etc. Its been changed and uploaded successfully.
The question here is how we need to handle the category for Open Purchase Order. How to update the same.
Do we need to do manually or any other way ?

Hi John,
This is reallly a tricky issue!
I guess you cannot change the category of an existing PO's.
This field will be greyed out once we save the form...there were no profiles/other setups to enable this field.
For all new PO's since you have changed the new category value that should not be a issue.
Lets wait for some of our colleuges opinion.
I guess PO cancel should be the final option if we dont hear any new work arounds.

How to change a category?

I submitted a podcast a few days ago and it was approved. When I set it up I chose Religion & Spirituality for the category and Christianity for the subcategory. When I go into the podcast homepage it comes up as Religion and Spirituality and not Christianity. How do I go about changing that? The feed we have is an xml from a less than stellar CMS. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It doesn't contain any category tags - I can only assume the Store staff have allocated the category from looking at the podcast. You need to include the following in the top section of the feed, between the 'channel' tag and the first 'item' tag.
<itunes:category text="Religion & Spirituality">
<itunes:category text="Christianity" />
</itunes:category>
Please note particularly the use of the code & for ampersand (&) - you must use this. If you include an ampersand by itself you will render the entire feed unreadable.

How to change podcast-Titels?

yesterday I published my first four podcast-episodes. It takes only a few hours to get into itunes store, but there ist a problem with the titel. Instead of taking the full informations, itunes took only the subscribe of the podcast, but not the titel or the name of mine, so users cant find my episodes well, only under the category "unknown".
So how can I change this informations? Please help me.

The category is carried in the 'itunes:category' tag, but only in the top section of the tag, not within the 'item' tags; and you should choose your categories and sub-categories (if applicable) from the list here:

Oracle Inventory: How to change default category set of items

We have a requirement where we need to change the default category set of functional area inventory in oracle as we are importing new items into inventory whihc need to be assigned to a new default category set.There is an existing default categpory set for this area.
As far as i understand once a default category has been set up and an item has been defined, the only way to change the default category set for a given functional area is to update all items with the new default category set before updating the default category set/functional area relationship.
How exactly do we update the defaul category set for an existing item and change it to a new one. Since we have close to 15K items what is the best way to do this.Is there ay API available?

The fix given in this document is to allign all the exisitng items to a category set (purchasing in this case). This is exactly what my doubt is. How to assign 15k items to a different category set. If i am able to allign these items i can change the default category of the functional area.

How to change podcast settings in the Application options dialog

I have attempted to subscribe to an RSS feed for a podcast - URL is http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/kingsmill/rss/podcast.xml
I am being prompted to join using live bookmarks. As i use Google reader, there is no option available to change it to google. Hitting the dropdown arrow, my choices are live bookmarks or Microsoft Outlook - or browse for application. How do i change / remove the applications entry for RSS so i can start over and select Google as a default

Apple does not make what you are asking straightforward for a reason: the user usually sets the system language to the one they prefer anyway.
If you think you have a good reason for setting the language in the application itself, I would suggest using the pathForResource:ofType:inDirectory:forLocalization: method of the main bundle to get the applicable strings file and then deserialize it into a dictionary as if it were a plist (strings files actually are).

How to change stock category of handling units at mass level without Development

     We have hundreds of handling units with stock category "blank" in our returned stock storage location which is HU managed. MMBE shows different
     value in Return stock what we see in HUMO is only One HU with very less qty. visible with stock category "R".inventory stock is different than the
      HU stock visible in HUMO
     can some one help in explaining how can we change the stock category of HU's from Blank to R. is there any standard process offered by Sap.

i am struggling to figure this out too.right now we if i look into MMBE i see the returned stock
value.but HUMO does not show any handling units with stock category R when searched
though Storage location is HU managed.i suspect user has done GR without delivery which cause the dependency.

How to Change Chart Category Labels(X) Alignment?

Hello,
Does anyone know of a way to change the alignment of category labels in a line chart in Xcelsius?
The default appears to be vertical, but I have some long category labels that completely compress the chart, is there a way to angle the labels, wrap the text, or make them display horizontally?

My podcast ( The Armchair Anglers Podcast ) is currently listed under the amateur category. While this is accurate, I think the "outdoor" category is better suited. Can I change the category?

There's no hard and fast answer to that. Usually new episodes take 1-2 days to appear, so I would expected other changes to be much the same - but it has been known for changes to take several days on occasion. If you've amended the tags correctly there isn't anything else you can do except wait. Possibly it may change once you get a new episode in.

If you want to change the category you need to change the feed, which means changing it in WordPress. You need to pick one category and, if there is one, one sub-category from the official list here:

It is possible to have further categories, though I don't know whether WordPress will allow that, but you should put the most relevant one in first.
Once you've amended it simply re-upload the feed and wait for the Store to catch up. You don't need to resubmit.

We realized a little late that our category definition needs change. But when we change the category definitions (including structure) how do we change the existing PO lines and Requisition lines to have the new categories? We checked for any APIs, but there are none. What other option do we have?

I believe you do it as follows:
Click File > Project Settings.
Ensure the General tab has focus.
Click the Advanced... button.
Click the LNG File tab.
Scroll the list to the [WebHelp] section.
Locate the item that reads: ContentCategoryList=Select a content category.
Click on it to select it.
Click the Edit button.
Change the text following the equals sign it to what you want it to read.
ContentCategoryList=Change this text
Press Enter to accept the change.
Click OK to dismiss the dialogs.
Generate and test!
