How to change podcast-Titels?

Dear user,
yesterday I published my first four podcast-episodes. It takes only a few hours to get into itunes store, but there ist a problem with the titel. Instead of taking the full informations, itunes took only the subscribe of the podcast, but not the titel or the name of mine, so users cant find my episodes well, only under the category "unknown".
So how can I change this informations? Please help me.
Here´s the podcast-URL:

The category is carried in the 'itunes:category' tag, but only in the top section of the tag, not within the 'item' tags; and you should choose your categories and sub-categories (if applicable) from the list here:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#categories
The category coding is shown here:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html#category
As to not seeing the changes, the Store usually takes a couple of days, sometimes more, to react to changes, but it's not really possible to comment unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'.  Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

  • How to Change Podcast Category

    Our podcast is located here:
    http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/authorscast/id416884925
When we originally submitted our podcast, we did so using the category "Technology / Tech News."
We have since changed the wording of the summary description slightly, and changed the category tags to just "Technology" (with no subcategory). It is picking up the latest episodes, and even the updated summary, but not the changed category -- it is still stuck in Tech News.
Is there any way, other than changing the category tags in the feed (which we have already done), to get the iTunes store to reclassify our show -- in other words, to honor the change we have made in our category to Technology instead of Tech News.?

    Roger, When you say
    Yur 'itunes:category' tags actually read:
... how do you view someone's category, and other, tags? I'd like to know how to look at mine. I use iweb to publish and keep my files on apple's mobile me. So I don't have a ton of control over my tags, though I'm working to learn to use the Inspector and also downloaded iweb SEO today so that I can add more keyword tags, body and header too, if and when I have anything to add there. But I don't know how to see what actually gets published

  • How to change podcast settings in the Application options dialog

I have attempted to subscribe to an RSS feed for a podcast - URL is http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/kingsmill/rss/podcast.xml
I am being prompted to join using live bookmarks. As i use Google reader, there is no option available to change it to google. Hitting the dropdown arrow, my choices are live bookmarks or Microsoft Outlook - or browse for application. How do i change / remove the applications entry for RSS so i can start over and select Google as a default
The Options / Application / Podcast - has the RSS logo - says "preview in firefox"

Apple does not make what you are asking straightforward for a reason: the user usually sets the system language to the one they prefer anyway.
If you think you have a good reason for setting the language in the application itself, I would suggest using the pathForResource:ofType:inDirectory:forLocalization: method of the main bundle to get the applicable strings file and then deserialize it into a dictionary as if it were a plist (strings files actually are).

  • How to change the author and "podcast website," in iTunes store?

    Hi,
my itunes store page is http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-fallacy-a-day-podcast/id469610386 and my podcast is hosted on a free account at Podomatic.
It seems that the information on that page is drawn from the data on my Podomatic feed, including the "iTunes" page in my Podomatic account. All I ever did on iTunes is to go into the store section of iTunes and submit the rss URL.
I've read the FAQ but can't see how to change these features of my iTunes store page:
    1. On my itunes store page the title is: "The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast By The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast" but I would rather it be "The Fallacy-a-Day Podcast by fallacaday.com"
    2. Also on that page, under "Links" on the right, if you click Podcast website it takes you to fallacyaday.podomatic.com but I would prefer that iTunes store visitors are directed to my podcast's home page at fallacyaday.com.
As it stands, my homepage is being completely bypassed by some downloaders (although I do mention it in the podcast episodes themselves) and I have no metric on how many people are downloading the podcast. My Google Analytics indicate a constant number of visitors each day while the Podomatic bandwidth usage is increasing. I have no idea of what proportion of downloaders are doing so on Podomatic vs iTunes. Podomatic's own statistics (for the free account) are almost totally useless because they oscillate wildly from one day to the next.
Thanks to anyone who can offer help on these two questions!

Everything in the iTunes Store about your podcast is carried in the feed: the title is in the 'title' tag and the link in the 'link' tag. Although I'm not familiar with Podomatic my understanding is that you don't have access to the feed yourself, but have to set the details within Podomatic.
It should be easy enough to change the title by changing it wherever you originally set it. As to the link, I've seen others complaining that it directs to the podomatic site and can't be changed. Obviously they want to attract attention to their own service. I imagine this can't be changed but it's something you would need to take up with Podomatic.
Even if you had the correct link most visitors probably won't bother with it. If they are interested they will subscribe to your podcast in iTunes and listen to the episodes there - there's no reason to go to the site. iTunes does not provide usage statistics, and visits to your website aren't really relevant.
I'm afraid that the problem with all these online services is that they are what they are - they make it easy to get a podcast up and running but the facilities they provide may not always be exactly want you want and can't be changed.

  • How you change the download frequency for a single Podcast?

I have iTunes 11.1.5 for Mac, and I can't find how to change the down load frequence , aka "check for new episodes" setting for individual podcasts. I've tried using the settings menu in the "My Podcasts" and the "List" podcast view. When I do this, I see these setting:
    Keep
    Download
    Sort Order
    Play Order
If I click on the "Defaults..." button, the top setting is "check for new episodes"
I have no problem with being able to change the  default download frequency setting, but I am at wit's end with locating where I can change that setting for individual podcasts.

    Bump.

Podcast how to change speed from 1.5x to 1x speed without having to go through 2x, 3x etc?

    Whereas I need to be
able to go from disc 1/track 1 to disc 1/track 2,
instead the iPod goes from disc 1/track 1 to disc
    2/track 1.
Right click on any of these files and do a Get Info. Notice that there is, in fact, a Disc number field. So you can make disc numbers 1/10, 2/10 and so on.
iTunes and the iPod are both smart enough to recognize that there are disc numbers there and act correctly. So it'll start with Disc 1, play all that disc, then go to Disc 2, and so forth. It's just a matter of having correct disc number tags.
You can tag disc numbers for a whole disc at once. Simply select all the songs in a single disc (hold SHIFT or CTRL while selecting the songs), right click, Get Info, and you get the mass tag editor screen. Add the disc number info for this disc, and it'll tag that info to all those songs. Repeat for each disc.

  • How to change image display of my podcast page in iTunes?

How to change image display of my podcast page in iTunes?

As far as I understand you need to update the image's link in your RSS XML file.  Be sure to change the link file name even if it links to a different image.
The XML files associated with podcasts are checked for changes every 24 hours so don't expect this to happen instantly.

  • My podcast has been approved, how do change my cover art and add an author?

My podcast has been approved, how do change my cover art and add an author?  I would appreciate any help
    Thanks

In whatever method you are using to create your podcast there should be a place where you originally placed the image or its URL, and you can just replace this with a new one (which needs to have a different filename from the original). Similarly there should be a place to enter your name so that it goes in the 'itunes:author' tag.

  • How to change the Home Name

    Hi,
I'm on a a MacbookPro5.5 and for some reason, my Home name (that resides on the left sidebar) is still listed as 'Apple'.
I want to change the Home name and so I've right-clicked it and gone into the 'Get Info' window. But the Name field is greyed out and won't let me enter a new name. I've tried changing all privledges to 'read and write' but that does not seem to help at all.
I appreciate any pointers on this ...
    Many Thanks, Frank B.

  • HT201242 how to delete podcasts in ipod touch

I am having trouble deleting old podcasts.  I selected the podcasts and try to erease them by using the backspace key and the delete key, but did not work.  I need help.
    thanks,
    sagrait

It depends on how you load your content.  If you use automatic syncing, you cannot delete items from the iPod's content list in iTunes.  For podcasts, you need to use the iPod's Podcasts tab in iTunes.
Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  If the sidebar is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
To the right, there is a row of "tabs" (starting with Summary).  Click on Podcasts there.  This the the Podcasts tab, where you tell iTunes how to sync podcasts to the iPod.
If you are using automatic syncing already, Sync Podcast should be checked.  Change your settings and selections below, to unselect from syncing the podcasts (or the podcast episiodes) you want to remove from the iPod.  Then click Apply.
If you use the manual method (drag and drop items on iPod in iTunes) to load content, you should be able to remove podcasts from the iPod's content list in iTunes.  In your description, where are you looking to select the podcast and press the Delete key.

  • Inconveinient video menu how to change?

    hi,
I have a 16gb itouch and a 5.5 gen video and before on my video when you selct videos it is all in a list and categorized not spilled out everywhere. does anyone know how to change the itouches video menu so that when u select videos it goes like movies, tv, music videos, podcasts, cause i find it really annoying haveing al my movies in a list to then see a folder with tv and then see spiled music vids again

    The video menu is organized.
You will see a Header for Movies-movies are listed underneath.
TV shows are next-header for TV shows-then the shows are listed. If you have multiple episodes of same show-you see listing for TV show, tells how many episodes-if you select, goes to screen showing the episodes for that show.
    Etc, etc.

You posted to the wrong forum.    I've asked this be moved.  iBook in Notebook forum refers to Apple's pre-2007 consumer notebook.  Since I don't use the eBooks Apple sells, someone else in the correct forum should answer when this thread gets moved to:
