How to change port 8080 to another and change email link

HI ,
We can log onto Business Objects fine both in infoview and CMC using the URL http://servername:8080 but when we run a report and email the link to users the embedded URL http://servername:8080" does not work as it is blocked by our ISA. As a result we need to change the port from 8080 to another. We have changed the port as directed by this link:- http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?p=284295&sid=630c45ef6866f91e81813104372c64e5 and when we change the infoview and CMC URLs they work fine on the new port. However the email link to the report still goes out with port 8080 - what do i need to change in order to get the email to see the new port and hence allow our users to be able to access reports via the link we distribute.

Hi,
the URL syntax shows that you are using BO XI 3.x. I assume that you add %SI_VIEWER_URL% in the message body of your email when you schedule the report.
Please go to the CMC and select Applications. Select the CMC entry and press the right mouse button to invoke the context menu. Select the processing settings entry and modify the port in the URL you are seeing there.

You don't need to merge them - they are already merged as they are exactly the same account. They are just different addresses pointing to the same account.
mende1 has it wrong saying "you receive the same mails on both mail accounts". There is only one mail account. Both email addresses point to the same single email account.

I was having trouble in Illustrator CS6 joining two points smooth. I read this article ...

... about joining in Illustrator CS5 (which seems to be the same in CS6) ... and noticed it says "A Smooth join is possible only when the end-points are smooth" ... now who came up with this asshat rule (pardon my french)??? I used to be able to force a joining to be smooth no matter what kind of points I had, however, not anymore it seems
This is what I had trouble with:
Smooth joins
Step 1.
As you can see in the image below I have two points both with an arm ... they should qualify as smooth end-points, right?
Step 2.
So after moving the two paths together I went ahead and selected the two points with my Direct Selection Tool (the white arrow). Notice how only one arm sticks out all of a sudden (this was actually a clue to why I had trouble in the first place but more on this later).
Step 3.
I tried to force the two points to join smoothly by using the cmd+opt+shift+J shortcut to get the Average & Join dialog box up and select Smooth ... to no avail.
Step 4.
It stil ends up doing this weird joining (this is after I tried to move the point with my Direct Selection Tool).
Step 5.
So I used cmd+Z until I was back to square one and then I discovered if I moved one of the end-points there was another one beneath it. Notice that it is the point that was missing an arm in step 2, when I had selected what I thought was only two points, which should have clued me in.
Removing the extra point and placing the two smooth end-points on top of each other again made it possible to make the smooth joining, I had tried to do countless times.
What I wonder about now is the fact that I could get the Average & Join dialog box without having Illustrator complain up a storm about me having selected more than two points? Illustrator used to be very picky about this, which would have made me discover the extra point way sooner.
Shortcuts
In the article I also noticed people complaining about the four keys shortcut for the Average & Join dialog box (cmd+opt+shift+J). You can just go ahead and change that in Edit/Keyboard Shortcuts... (cmd+opt+shift+K). Here is how:
Step 1.
In the dropdown change Tools to Menu Commands.
Step 2.
Go to Other Objects ... there you will find Average & Join. Go ahead and clear the shortcut and press whichever shortcut you wish for. I chose cmd+J, because I wish to use this method more often than Join. After this you get the option to Go To Conflict ... I did that and gave Join the shortcut shift+cmd+J and ended up giving Justify Text Left the shortcut cmd+opt+shift+J ... yeah, I seldom use the shortcut for Justify Text Left anyway.
Step 3.
I saved my new custom shortcut set with the name "Adobe Illustrator CS6 Shortcuts" ... that way I can search for the file and take it with me in case I need it on another computer and the name tells me which version it is for.

CRMD_ORDER: how to set default values for Requester and Change Manager

Hello Folks,
how do I set default values in TA crmd_order?
I drew my organizational hierarchy using TAs bp and ppoma_crm.
When a new Change Request (e. g. SDHF) is created, I want the four roles (Requester, Change Manager, IT Operator and Developer) to be set automatically, not manually.
Both Requester (= Key User) and Change Manager are derivable. I did not find anything in SPRO neither in the OSS neither here.
Points will be rewarded as a matter of course!

look for Define Access Sequence & Define Partner Determination Procedure in SPRO and read the IMG Activity Documentation. You can find it in the Service Desk config, but it works for the other transaction types too.
Basically, you create Access Sequences where you tell the Partner Determination Procedure where to look for the values for the Partner Function fields.
The Access Sequence can use lots of sources for the information, including your org structure.

I have read a few posts but it isn't exactly what my problem is.
I have a 2.3mb (size2304x3072) pic of me on iPhoto (6.0.6) and I have joined a motorcycle forum that I would like to post a profile picture to but this is the note that is stated under the "browse" function when I am about to upload my pic Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 50.0 KB (whichever is smaller).
So I did what I have read many times here and used "Export..." under the "File" menu and then a window opens with the tabs, "Facebook" "File Export" "Web Page" "Quicktime" ( I have uploaded pics to facebook and usually I size them by using "share" in Mail and basically choose from the 3 types of qualities but I don't think this is the proper way to do it) Anyway I then open the "File Export" tab and am left with putting in the width and height(the height automatically changes when I put numbers into the width part) sorry for the long question here. So basically I want to know how I can take my pic and change it 80x80 pixels or 100x100 pixels or change it to a 50kb pic (if I make it 50kb will the pixel dimensions change accordingly and vice versa?)Thank you, Karl

By emailing the photo to yourself from within iPhoto, you can get a choice of four different sizes (small, medium, large and original). Whichever one is closest to the size you're looking for, you can use that option and, when you receive the email message, save the attached image. But that's certainly not an elegant solution, never mind an exact one. In short, neither that method nor the Export command allows you to specify both a resolution and a file size in KB or MB. There are many other photo editing applications that offer better control over those attributes than iPhoto does. I recommend that you simply export copies of your pictures from iPhoto at original size, then open them in a different program and fine-tune the resolution and JPEG compression settings to achieve whatever combination of resolution and file size you need.

I am a Taiwanese and usually use the feature of "Change characters into Chinese Traditional" or "Change characters into Chinese simplified" . Before I update Pages/Numbers/Keynotes , these features works well . I can transfer Chinese characters into Traditional or Simplified in the menu of Pages -> services .
But After I upgreade OS to Mavericks , and Pages to 5.0 , Numbers to 3.0 and keynotes to 6.0 , the features are removed by Apple. I just call Apple expert service in China and they said : The features confirmed to been removed .
Is there any expert can teach me recover the feautre manually or down-grade to old version of Pages/Numbers/Keynotes ?
I need the features ..... Please help !!!!!!

Your stated question and your subject are out of synch - what is it you want to do?
* use an image as a submit button? If so, just insert an image field.
* submit the form to produce an email without using the mailto - type link? Then you would have to understand how to process form submissions using a script.
There are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c) formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d) redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed email client responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and* send the visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2a is the preferred method, since it eliminates the problems of method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
Method 2b would be to use some third-party form processing, like

You would have to decide which of these methods is best for your needs,
but if it's Method 2a, then start by asking your host what they provide for form

How to create a keyboard shortcut in firefox for email link

I would like to create a keyboard shortcut for firefox for the EMail Link menu item. I specified shift-Command-S as the keyboard shortcut. When I hit the key sequence the File on the menubar flashes but the Email Link window never opens. Does anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to get this to work or is there a reason it doesn't work. I do use Outlook for my mail client. That shouldn't be a problem because when I manually select EMail Link from the File menu Outlook is properly used.

Moving apps, their data from one ipad to another AND changing/deleting at the same time!

I would like to get ready for my new iPad. Over time I have accumalated a LOT of Apps which I don't use or would like to organize differently.
Others (games or internal documents/settings) I would like to leave intact. Is there a way to choose what to import and maybe already pre-sort?
I know of the restore feature from a specific backup (used that in the past) that DOES keep the data intact but does not allow for my organizing/spring cleaning scenario...
I was thinking directly of the new Apple configurator tool. I could import my iPad profile, and based on that choose apps to keep (and their data) or delete in a first step. Even better would be if I could then group them in folders or screens BEFORE I sync this new profile to my new iPad.
This would also be ideal to manage backups and different setups for family members when we do the family shuffle.. I upgrade, hand my old device to my better half, she hands her to X family member etc., etc.
My issue is that the help menu of the configurator toll indicates it works only for volume bought applications. Is this right? Why the restriction?
Main concern of course is not installing the application on a specific device BUT to copy the app (AND internal data) exactly to another one!
I'm surprised that Apple hasn't adressed these issues better but maybe they did with this new tool (or another way) and I just don't see/understand it.

My problem is a little different. I would like to selectively sync apps and maybe change/add/delete folders and app screens.
I know how to "clone/restore" the iPad. I was hoping that I could maybe use the Apple confugurator for this purpose and customize my apps based on an import from the old iPad. As such weeding out old apps and not having to use the cumbersome iTunes method but at the same time protecting my backed up data.
It could also simplify data transfer if I could create multiple profiles/people from which I can choose who to sync/transfer to a specific iDevice.
But thanks for taking your time and providing a solution to transfer all files from one device to another.
