How to change PrinterJob.printDialog(..)'s dialog's language?

Hey!
I'm using PrinterJob.printDialog(attributes)-method for printing. How do I change the language on the printing dialog? Is there an attribute that does the trick or does it have something to do with Windows' settings?
Cheers,
Antti

Do you want get rich easily?
You can change life, you can have money as much as you want. All you have to do is to send 12 dollars to 6 people bank accounts.
All you have to do is the fallowing:
You have to have bank account. You have to send 2 $ to below listed bank accounts. This is legal, you made a favour for those people and for your self.
This is the bank accounts:
1. LT957300010074515201
2. LT217044000017612013
3. LT547400012388523830
4. LT857044000879616105
5. LT577300010085485906
6. LT837300010088377105
After sending money, you need to delete the first bank account and make room for your account, after deleting first account, in the bottom of the list write your accounts number. You have to delete only the first one. Very important to do it honestly.

My save image dialog box has the oldest file in the folder in the upper left position (using list). I want to change it to the newest file shown first. It used to be that way, but now it showing oldest first. I haven't found any guidance on defaults for this box. Thanks.

  • How to Change the default format for differnt language both in java and SQL

    Hello,
I am using SQL Anywhere in my application. And in my java client application user can log in with their preferred language like English,French,German,Chinese,etc....When even the user log in to the application the data from the database will be displayed with respective to the language. But when i tried to see the dates in Interactive SQL all the dates r in the format of '2008-12-5 16:44:10:673' but say for example for Chinese it will be displayed as '08-12-5 16.44.10' and for some other language it will come in some other format(which is standard format for those language).
Mean while i am using java client. When ever i am displaying a date it will be with respective to the language using Locale and date format classes. When i am displaying the date for Chinese in GUI it will show the date as '08-12-5 下午4:44'. In summary
    1. For Chinese, the default date pattern from SQL Anywhere date base is '08-12-5 16.44.10'
    2. For the same language date using java code is displaying as '08-12-5 下午4:44'. and i am getting the time format pattern as 'ah:mm'.I tried to change the display format in regional settings but no change in display.
Is there any way to make both the time format as same?
Please help me to solve this issue!!!
    Thanks in Advance!

    Hello masijade,
I did as u said but still the date display is not the same......And I'm telling you that it doesn't matter. What "format" the DB likes to display a Date in when it displays it, is completely irrelevant to how you display it in your GUI.
A Date does not have a format. A String representation of a Date does.
As long as you use getDate from ResultSet and setDate from PreparedStatement you do not have to worry about this. Those methods will handle dates to and from the DB themselves. You can then use SimpleDateFormat to display the Date anyway you want to.
Just because you show the Date one way, and the DB shows it another, does not mean that it is not the same date. Don't get hung up on how the String representation of the Date looks.
Edit: If you simply want to be able to do "Human Comparisons" then look at the SQL TO_CHAR function (for Oracle, for other DBs the function name may vary). And for Java, read the API docs for SimpleDateFormat (as already intimated above).

  • How to change the icon for print dialog?

    Hello,
I have a JTable, and with the print() method, I'm able to bring up the Print dialog and successfully print the contents of the table. Example:
myTable.print( JTable.PrintMode.FIT_WIDTH, myHeaderFormat, myFooterFormat );This works great, but one small detail I'd like to change is the icon in the top-left corner of the dialog. The icon is currently the default Java coffee cup icon, while the rest of my application uses my custom icon. I couldn't find any documentation in the API or tutorials that Java has listed which shows how to change the icon, so I'm not even sure if it's possible (but why shouldn't it be?).
My question is this: Is it possible to change the default icon in the print dialog? Or do I have to either make my own print dialog somehow, or use a third-party print dialog?
    Thanks

tjacobs01: Appreciate the assistance (despite your sass). I've already searched the API, tutorials, and this forum. I'm already well aware of the setIconImage() method for JFrame -- after all, that's how I set the icon for my other frames as I previously mentioned. However, I want to set the icon for the print dialog called from the print() method of JTable.
How would I use setIconImage() for the print() method of JTable? The print() method returns a boolean value, not a JFrame, so I'm just not sure how to implement what you're saying.
    Thanks

  • How to ser source in print dialog?

    Hi All,
We use the java print dialog embedded in our code. In general, the default value for the source is "Automatically select". But we want to set it to the other value according to the different printer driver. I searched this in google and JDK, found nothing with it. Who can give me some info about how to set this attribute in java code or other else?
    Thanks
    Ken

Let me clarify the question. There is a PrinterJob in java.awt.print package. User can call PrinterJob.printDialog() when print something. Then user can set some attribute in this print dialog. It not a swt component.
In the print dialog, there are three tabs: General, Page Setup and Appearance. In Page Setup tab, user can set source by selecting other value from the combobox. The default value of source is "Automatically Select". But in our project, we need to use the other value. Of course, we can set this value manually every time. We do not want to set it every time but set it to a value which needed by our project. We do not know how to set this value programmatically or through setting the printer driver?
    Thanks

There is a workaround to move from 1.5 version to the older 1.4 version. But this could be specific to the browser setting the JRE version.
    Excerpts from sun docs:
However, a user can still run older versions. To do so, launch the Java Plug-in Control Panel for the older version, then (re)select the browser in the Browser tab.
    Example:
Assume you are running on Microsoft Windows with Microsoft Internet Explorer, have first installed version 1.4.2, then version 5.0, and you want to run 1.4.2.
Go to the j2re1.4.2\bin directory where JRE 1.4.2 was installed. On a Windows default installation, this would be here: C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\bin
Double-click the jpicpl32.exe file located there. It will launch the control panel for 1.4.2.
Select the Browser tab. Microsoft Internet Explorer might still appear to be set (checked). However, when 5.0 was installed, the registration of the 1.4.2 JRE with Internet Explorer was overwritten by the 5.0 JRE.
If Microsoft Internet Explorer is shown as checked, uncheck it and click Apply. You will see a confirmation dialog stating that browser settings have changed.
Check Microsoft Internet Explorer and click Apply. You should see a confirmation dialog.
Restart the browser. It should now use the 1.4.2 JRE for conventional APPLET tags.

  • How to change external display resolution WITHOUT clicking "CONFIRM"?

I have a somewhat unusual situation. My MacBook laptop is actually now a ModBook (a pen-tablet computer), and as such I no longer have a trackpad attached to it. All of my inputs are via the stylus, tapping directly on the built-in display.
This works perfectly fine, except when I need to give presentations on an LCD projector (which is quite often lately). I like to use the projector as an external monitor, so that I can run the Keynote presentation on it while using my laptop screen as the presenter's display, with the upcoming slide, etc. If the projector doesn't give me an ideal native display option (sometimes, the aspect ratio for the  3 or 4 resolutions available in the Displays drop-down in the menubar turn out to be stretched or squeezed), then I, naturally, have to open the Display System Preferences and try out different resolutions.
The problem is, since my stylus only interacts by clicking directly on the built-in-display, I have no way of moving the cursor over to the external display when the dialog box with the "Click here to confirm change/You have 15 seconds..." message appears. So I can never click it ... so I can never confirm the new settings.
The workarounds I've used so far are:
    - Mirror displays (not ideal, as I need the presenter preview of the next slide)
    - borrow a mouse from someone (usually from a Windows desktop, frankly) and plug that in to briefly mouse over and click the confirm button
I'd love to find a software workaround that allows me to NOT mirror displays and also doesn't require me to carry around a mouse all the time (my laptop bag is already overstuffed...).
    Thanks.

How to change the display resolution of APEX ??APEX doesn't have a display resolution. "Display resolution" is an attribute of the device and user agent software used to view the APEX page.
What do you mean by "the display resolution of APEX"?
In other word, if an end user sees large elements on a pageWhat "large elements"?
    then he/she zooms it outHow?
"Zooms" what—the entire page or a single "large element"?
How can I set a proper ZOOM for my app by default ...Meaning what?
    And as usual, we're missing:

    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used

    Click the Advanced... button.
    Click the LNG File tab.
Scroll the list to the [WebHelp] section.
Locate the item that reads: ContentCategoryList=Select a content category.
Click on it to select it.
    Click the Edit button.
Change the text following the equals sign it to what you want it to read.
    ContentCategoryList=Change this text
