Change the logo in the right-hand side of the initial Log-on screen
- To put your company logo in the right-hand side of the initial
screen:
Put your picture in the database with the transaction SMW0
"Binary data" options, e.g. in ".GIF" format.
Put a record with the picture name in the key "START_IMAGE" of
the table SSM_CUST in the View maintenance transaction SM30.
- You can adjust the picture to the window size automatically or
center it in the right-hand side of the initial screen
("RESIZE_IMAGE" "YES" or "NO" in the table SSM_CUST).
- You can deactivate the picture globally so that noone sees it
with "HIDE_START_IMAGE" "YES" in the table SSM_CUST.

How to change the picture frame size in Lightroom 5 Book

I would like to control the actual picture frame size when making a Book in Lightroom 5. Or else know the sizes of the different picture frames provided by choosing the different page layouts. That way I can either change the picture frame dimensions to accomodate each photo or change the image size to fit in the offered picture frame. I find that using the software as is winds up cropping the images in unwanted ways. Modifying the picture frame would be my preferred alternative. Appreciate any ideas

I have been using Adobe Photoshop 7, Photoshop Elements, Perfect Photo Suite, Photo Studio, etc., changing Image size, placing a picture on a page and then, do a simple last minute size adjustment by using the arrows to stretch or shrink it in place. Things would be a lot simpler if I could do the same thing with the cells in Lightroom 5. Cell pad adjustments do not fill the bill.
I think we’ve pretty much concluded this exchange. Thanks again for your effort.

How to change start date in IT0088.

Hi All,
I am not able to change start date of IT0088(maternity).
Record was maintained from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.9999. Now I need to change from 10.01.2014 to 31.12.9999.
When try to change the record I am facing Changes across Tax year can only extended the validity period".

In which activity type you are trying to change the display name ?
Have you checked the field property to verify that the field is locked by any other person ?

IK Bone Tool - How to change the picture of a bodypart in animation?

I don't know how to word this any better. I have a puppet and all ready for animation. Now the question is how can I change the picture of a body part? Example on how I thought it would work: I have a walking puppet, and I can change the picture of the foot for example, when it steps on the ground. Or I can change the picture of the hand, by adding another keyframe and select that one. I could for example change the weapon the character has in his hand while walking, or the picture of the eyes from open to closed, for just 2 frames of the animation. How do I do that? I can't find a way. Simply adding another keyframe to the hand-movieclip doesn't work, it just plays both of these back all the time then.

But swapping it through the properties windows swaps it for the whole animation. That is good for getting animations with different objects in the characters hands, but its not exactly how I want it. I only want it to be swapped for the frames in which I set it to something else, and then it goes back to normal.
Like the character runs and closes his eyes while running, so I wanna switch the picture of the eyes for those few frames. I don't exactly understand how you mean that.
I'm not sure how you mean that with the adding frames in the timeline, maybe that is exactly what I mean but I dont understand it. Do you mean in the main timeline? I don't get it. If I put another frame in one of the movie clips (for the hand for example) it plays the whole time, so it changes between the two hand versions all the time while he is walking.
And to the video link above, that only seems to explain the basic bone thing, not my question. I already have a skeleton set up.

It's the picture set for your user in the Users & Groups system preference for your user account.
Click the image and you can change it if you wish. But it just appears on your own computer. It's not sent with email messages, so it's not something you really need to worry about unless you just don't like seeing that particular picture.

I don't think there is a straight-forward way to do this. However, if the guest account is bothering you, you can disable it from within the System Preferences.

How to Change Start up Software

I currently have Adobe Version Cue CS2running at start up that Im assuming is not needed since I never use it (on MBP when I got it).
HOW do I stop that from running at startup? I tried looking in system and so on but dont seem to see it...Im sure Im doing something wrong

System Preferences>Accounts>Log in Items. Delete it if it'd there. On your hard drive>Library>StartupItems folder. Delete if there.

How to change inline picture baseline?

I often include small inline pictures in my chemistry texts. They are for example safety pictograms that I add when I mention some dangerous compound. While small, these pictures are often a bit larger than the text line height.
The problem is that the bottom of the picture is aligned with the text baseline. This is a problem of balance: the top of the picture is then far too high compared to the text.
What I would like to achieve is to vertically center the picture with respect to the text line. This means lowering it quite a bit.
I had hoped to use Format>Font>Baseline>lower, but that command is disabled (unsurprisingly as a picture is not text).
Is there a solution? Switching the picture to be floating instead of inline is not a solution, as it then in practice prevents the text from being edited, lest the picture be moved away from its proper location in the text.

I'm not sure my description of the problem is clear enough. If warranted, I can improve it with screen shots.

Thanks: you are right, using the text inspector More pane works: you can select the image only and shift it from there.
So now the issue is only an issue of consistency: the same command is enabled, and works, in the inspector, but is disabled in the menu.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Which "two methods" do you have in mind? Let me describe my expectations:
- I expect to be able to shift text vertically on the line. It turns out I am right. To do so, the user selects the text to shift and applies one of the command in the Format>Font>Baseline menu (eg Raise, Lower). Alternatively, as Fruhulda reminded me, the user can use the More pane of the text inspector. All this is documented in Pages '09 user manual on page 82.
- I expect to be able to shift an inline image vertically on the line too. It turns out I am also right. To be consistent, the user would select the "thing" s/he wants to shift, ie the image, then would choose Raise/Lower, in exactly the same way as with text. Alternatively s/he could use the More pane of the text inspector.
Yet it turns out that, out of those FOUR scenarios, only THREE work:
1- shift selected text using the More pane of the text inspector: WORKS
2- shift selected text using the Format>Font>Baseline menu: WORKS
3- shift selected IMAGE using the More pane of the text inspector: WORKS
4- shift selected IMAGE using the Format>Font>Baseline menu: DOESN'T WORK
That scenario 4 doesn't work is not consistent. It should work. As a user-interface designer, I consider this misleading behavior a bug.
Note that you can select the image in three ways: by dragging over it, by clicking on it, or by putting the caret just before (resp after) it, then typing shift-right arrow (resp shift left arrow). As far as I could tell, it doesn't make any difference how you select the image.
All in all, after going to the very bottom of this barrel, I am grateful to both of you: I can now shift my images in a satisfactory way (using the inspector). Many thanks.

I have a variable width circle, trying to figure out how to change start / finish thickness variance

Just wondering how I do this and still be able to edit the start point / end point thickness?
In this screen shot I am trying to get the start point (the thinnest point) a little thicker.
Can I edit these variable width profiles or? Any other / better ways to do it?

You need to use the width tool:
The profiles are all just starting points. Depending on how precise you need to be, you might need to cut the circle at that point so you can get at the thinner end of the line. If you try while it's a circle, you can get pretty close, but the thicker end is over the thinner end.
If you need to cut it, (scissor tool, "c") use the keyboard to move the thicker point out of the way, adjust the thickness with the width tool, and then move the point back. Marquee select them both with the direct select tool (Click and drag with the white arrow, "a") and "join" (command-J) them back together to make it a circle again.

How to change Start-Monitor (when 2 available)

I just went up from 7.0 to 8.0
Can anyone please tell me, where the option is on which (of my two monitors) the application starts?
(I know that 7.0 was able to do so - had to fix a long-term issue with support) :-)

nVidia Geforce 8600GT
Driver: 195.81 beta WHQL
Left Monitor: Landscape, Samsung P2450 1980x1080
Right Monitor: Pivot, HannsG HW191 900x1440
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit
The application always starts on the right one and thereby stays when put on the other monitor (with resize button on the right upper corner) in the 10:16 ratio AND in the 900x1440 resolution.
This problem already occured back with version 7.0
Back then the support told me to switch "start-monitor" in the Adobe application.
I just can't find that option in version 8.0
Do you have any idea?
(while the light bulb above your head starts up - I'll fumble around in the nVidia Control Panel) :-)

How to change starting size on screen when opening jpg

When our photographer browses his folders with pictures and double clicks upon one of them (jpg-files always), his Photoshop (he uses CS3 and Windows NT) always opens up the file only shoving it as 16,3% size (or such, I can't remember the exact number)
As a result the picture hardly fills 1/4 or 1/8 of the available space in the Photoshop screen, and he always has to click the picture larger before being able to work in it.
He has recently got a new - and more powerful - computer, and he did not have the same problem when using the old computer, here his files always opened to the maximum possible size.
As he regards me as something of a computer wizard he has turned to me for help, but I am not able to find any place to specify the settings for this.
I hope somebody can help me, and please excuse my bad English, I am Danish...

I use a couple of actions to automatically size the image when opening a document. One for Fit to Screen and one for Actual Pixels (100%). I then use the Script Events Manager in the Scripts Menu to call which ever one I want to use.
