Are you saying you changed your email address & then set up a new Apple ID, rather than changing your apple ID to your new email address?
Although someone said you can't change your Apple ID, that is wrong. I have changed it 3 times. I started out w a version of my name & had to change it to my email address when I got my iPhone since different parts of Apple have different ID requirements. & then I changed my email from my local isp to a gmail one. So I just went in to my Apple ID & in preferences or something I changed my email address which is my ID.
I can't remember the exact sequence & it would have been easier probably if you had done it before you apparently changed email addresses, but it seems as though it would be better to just have 1 Apple ID.
I have read of complications w iTunes if you have purchases under one ID & then use another.
So hope this helps. & you might consider logging into your old AppleID & changing it to the new email address & then getting rid of the new ID or something.

How to change the color of text but only when that text is highlighted

I am NOT asking how to change the highlight color OR how to change the text color generally, but rather, how to change the text color as it shows onscreen while it is highlighted. Here's where I'm going:
Text is ordinarily black (assume) such as when the Finder is open or when viewing a list of all emails in an inbox.
Let's say I change the highlight color systemwide, in prefs > appearance > highlight color, to a custom color ("other") of black (for example).
In certain programs (mail, billings, iBank, addressbook, even the Finder), when I highlight a line of something, (like when I one-click on an email or a file name just to select it but not open it), the line will highlight in black, but the text of that line will automatically change to white so it can be seen.
However, when I highlight actual text (click and drag or double click), such as when editing a document in Pages and selecting a word, line, paragraph, editing an email, etc., the highlight is black, and the text remains black also, which means it cannot be seen (black on black).
So, how do I change it so that when I highlight the actual text the text color changes to white, then when it is de-selected, it goes back to black.
I'm not afraid to do a little terminal/command line, but only if it’s a little. Hope this gives enough detail.

You can use span HTML tag.
For example, if your label is "Product Name", and you want it to appear in red, you can type this:

At the top of the iTunes Store window, you will see who is logged into iTunes. I'm guessing from your description, that it is your husband. If it is, click on the name to display the dropdown, log him out and sign yourself back in:\

However, if you're not able to receive email to your rescue email address, you may need to contact iTunes Store Support:

After your password, security questions and answers are reset, I'd recommend providing a different rescue email address:
You can edit or delete your rescue email address at My Apple ID. To edit your rescue email address:

Click Password & Security

It's a common way to run multiple OSs, if there's room. I've had two on my internal HD for a couple of years. Plus a small partition for a copy of my Snow Leopard Install disc. Just be sure to leave at least 10% to 15% free on each partition.
Running Lion on a partition of the disk that also contains your backups is not a good idea; if that drive fails, you risk losing both copies of your stuff!
OSX will also run somewhat more slowly, because access to an external is slower. That probably won't be very significant, though.
Also, would the decision be effected by how long I want to maintain the SL section? I am assuming once I sort out what to replace Quicken with, I won't want to keep the SL section. So would it be easy enough to 'clear out the SL data, and open the partition?

All things considered, your best bet may be to "clone" your SL partition to the second one, then (once you're sure everything is cool), erase the original (top) SL partition. You can use the Restore tab of Disk Utility for that (#7 in the same link), or a "cloning" app such as CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper. Then install Lion on the top partition.
When you're done with SL, just delete it's partition and expand the Lion partition down into the vacated space.

Sorry, but at the moment 'Compose in a tab' isn't yet possible. You'll always get a new windows when composing or replying/forwarding a message.

This message occurs if disabling Backup for an app on your iOS device does not complete successfully. Wait a few minutes and then attempt to disable Backup for the app again. If you continue to receive this alert, contact iCloud Support for assistance.

Please could someone tell me how to change stores from the Canadian store to the U.K Apple store on my I pod touch ?

Settings > iTunes & App Stores > tap your Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region
If you find that it is set to the correct region, log out of your iTunes Store account, restart your iPhone, and sign into your account again.
Note that you will need an account in the UK iTunes Store to use it.
