How to Change $TEMP to project
Hi Gurus,
I saved all the infoobjects in $TEMP. Now I want to change to real project name. How to do that ?
Thanks
LizaHi Liza,
You can collect them in the Tranport Connection in RSA1 and then change the package there, or you can also do it for each in RSD1 > menu Extra > Object Directory Entry > InfoObject.
Hope this helps... -
How to find temp-Dir on client and how to fiend client IP adress from Web-Dynpro
CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICE cannot be used and there are some hints to use ACF-Excecute. Hope this is not the only choice.
Thanks VolkerHi Volker,
Regarding question 2 , how to find client IP from WDA.
In the window of the application use the information that comes from the object wdr_task=>client_window, this contains the values for the IP of the remote address.

We have OC4j running as an automatic service in Windows 2008 server. Now we have installed Apex listener but whenever the server is restarted it loses its config. I have researched and found that if we setup a temp dir {C:\myconfig} and set OC4J service settings to this folder then Apex will look for this folder on its startup.
Is there a way that we can modify the parameters for OC4J ,
can somebody help me the syntax of service creation and also setting up that temp dir
-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\somedirectory
javaservice -install “Oracle OC4J” “C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_11\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll” -XX:MaxPermSize=128m "-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\OC4J\apex_lsnr_config"
“-Djava.class.path=D:\OC4J\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar” -start oracle.oc4j.loader.boot.BootStrap -description “oc4j 10.1.3”thank you
NSHi NS,
what's your actual target?
-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\somedirectorybasically looks good. However, I'm not sure why you want to use it to store your APEX Listener's configuration. Using
javaservice -install “Oracle OC4J” “C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_11\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll” -XX:MaxPermSize=128m "-Djava.io.tmpdir=c:\OC4J\apex_lsnr_config"
“-Djava.class.path=D:\OC4J\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar” -start oracle.oc4j.loader.boot.BootStrap -description “oc4j 10.1.3”I see two possible issues: One with your tmpdir, the other one with your JDK version.
Let's start with the latter:
As documented in APEX Listener's Installation Guide, a JDK 1.6.0 Update 20 or higher is required. It seems your OC4J is using 1.5.0 Update 11. You'll very likely encounter other issues than just losing your configuration upon restart.
Concerning your tmpdir
The option you set affects the whole OC4J. I'm not sure you acutally want all temp stuff to be processed in there. Despite that, it stays a temporary location and is due to be erased by OC4J upon each start.
The recommended way to store your APEX Listener's configuration would be to set the parameter config.dir in the web.xml of your apex.war . I really recommend to edit the web.xml before deploying the war file instead of modifying the web.xml after depoyment, so you'll be sure that even after a redeployment the proper configuration will be used.

How to change Transport request into local object $temp.?
Hi experts,
I would like to know to how to change a Transport request into and local object.

Please put our valuable inputs.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
DubbuGo To that Infopackage ,
Extras Menu----Object catalog entry. There you can change package name.
or
In SE09---Under the transport requests you can search for the infopackage name and delete from the TR.

How to change output directory in Template Builder
Hi,
I'm using XML Publisher 5.5. standalone. When I use the Preview-Function in Template Builder to generate RTF output with MS Word, I want to change the directory in which the generated Files are located. How can I do this?
MirkoThe temp files are in:
\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\tmp
I'm not sure why you need to change the preview directory.
You can also use the system-temp-dir property to change the temp folder for run-time (there should be more info on this in the XMLP User's Guide)
\XML Publisher Desktop\Template Builder for Word\config\xdo example.cfg

How to change CUE ip address?
Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
Thanks in advance.

endhow to change local ip address?Via an operating system command.
It's not the sort of thing an application should be doing at all. IP addresses these days are assigned via DHCP. Why would you want to change it from within an application? It would probably disconnect all sockets for all running applications, invalidate the login, all kinds of bad effects.
What is the actual requirement? -
How to change the output directory of .xml files
Hi,
There are lots of .xml files generated under
$ORACLE_AS_HOME/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml.
(ex:/usb/bipub3/oracle/oc4j_bi/j2ee/home/applications/xmlpserver/xmlpserver/xml).
I found these files are generated in the following operation;
1.Log in BI Publisher.
2.Select the Schedules tab.
I think they are kind of temp files so we will be able to delete them.
But I'd like to know how to change the output directory.
Can we change the above directory to other path?
Regards. Why? As that may invalidate support since you configure/alter the deployment.
The location is specified in oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver.war, so you could go into the war file and alter it. -

Save the file...

Try if that helps you.

How to change async to sync after deploying the process.? Thanks
How to change async to sync after deploying the process.? Thanks
you'd need to change the base wsdl, the generated one (_Name.wsdl) and the bpel.file .. and remove the generated classes .. (all in domains/you_domain/tmp/your_process dir)
the wsdl needs to get the output msg to the input msg instead of a callback porttype, the same needs to be in the generated wsdl (don't forget to remove the callback role in plnk session).. and the bpel process needs to have a reply instead of the invoke ..
this is what you would need to do .. BUT, maybe we can find a better solution for you, if you elaborate on the usecase..
during design time this is easier :-)

Problems with spfile. How to change database parameters
Hello
My Oracle database is 10.2.0 and SAP version is NW2004s. I am having errors in alert.log file
Thread 1 cannot allocate new log, sequence 3959
Checkpoint not complete
Sun Aug 27 01:38:12 2006
I have changed the parameter log_buffer from 14274560 to 1048576 following the SAP Note 830576. I changed the pfile and created a spfile from this pfile. Now the pfile and spfile reflect the parameter log_buffer as 1048576.
But surprisingly, when I say
SQL> show parameter log_buffer
NAME TYPE VALUE
log_buffer integer 14274560
Even after pfile and spfile reflecting 1048576 value for log_buffer, the database is showing this old value. Kindly let me know how to change the log_buffer parameter.hi,
check which file it is reading
sql>sho parameter spfile
If it is reading spfile
issue alter system set log_buffer=<value> scope=spfile;
down and bring up database
If it is not reading spfile means reading pfile change parameter in INIT<SID>.ORA file
move all files which starts with spfile in dir $ORACLE_HOME/dbs to backup location
connect to database
create spfile from pfile
check $ORACLE_HOME/dbs only one spfile<sid>.ora exists
bring up database
and look for log_buffer
I guess ur changing in some other file which oracle is not reading.
or u can issue startp pfile='path';
then u can create spfile and issue startup force.

Generate new version of doc on each status or change in DIR
how system can auto generate new veriosn of DIR on every change in DIR. for example i change the status of DIR ,system should generate new veriosn.
Hi,
I thinkt that this could be achieved by using BADI DOCUMENT_MAIN01 with the method BEFORE_SAVE. Here you should be able to check if the new data matches the already stored data and if there are differences you can trigger the creation of a new version.
Best regards,
Christoph

How can I provide feedback if I don't want to reinstall FF7, which I found to be buggy?
I like to leave the sfgate.com news site open all the time because that page refreshes automatically. But FF 7 would periodically "freeze" during a refresh and I would have to Force Quit the browser. Also, I reinstalled all my Add-ONs one night, and
