How to Change $TEMP to project

I saved all the infoobjects in $TEMP. Now I want to change to real project name. How to do that ?

Hi Liza,
You can collect them in the Tranport Connection in RSA1 and then change the package there, or you can also do it for each in RSD1 > menu Extra > Object Directory Entry > InfoObject.

I'm having the same issue. I've been able to work around it by opening the txt file and copying the contents. Then I open a new file in Sublime Text 2, paste the contents and save the new file as "project.json". It seems to work, but it'd been nice if I didn't have to do this everytime I publish a new project.

How to change my BR project output?

I have been fighting this for ages. When I make my BR disc, it keeps making it progressive and 23.97 fps. I want it 1080i and 29.94 fps.
I forced the transcoding for my bridged project and it transcoded it into a 29.94 file. But, the darn output keeps doing 23.97.
When I try to change the output settings in the project settings, the field rate is grayed out at 23.97.The field setting is grayed out saying progressive.
Any ideas how to change such that the output project is 1080i 29.94fps?

Are you using motion menu from Encore library ?
If choose the trahscode settings 1440 x 1080 29.97 actual footage will be transcoded as 29.97 and you can check that after transcoding, M2V file under source>transcodes.
The ISO info will show 23.97 but when you will pay it on player it will play 29.97.

Both the variable TEMP and TMP should be defaulted to the Local Settings\Temp directory. Is that not the case?
If they are just change them to where you want.

You can convert the capital project type ( A1) to expense project type (01) on some conditions !!
Case - 1. Assuming WBSE is not First Level WBSE and not with one Root :-
As the WBSE is already with the status "REL BUDG AUC SETC", first settle the remaining actual cost also to AUC if exists !!
Hope this WBSE is not a First Level WBSE, Then Lock this WBSE and create a new WBS Element and remove the Investment profile in that WBSE if it is coming by default or forget it !!
Now maintain the settlement rule with receiver as Cost Center as this is going to be a Expenses Project type.
Then release the WBSE and first settle the AUC of First WBSE to newly added WBSE by maintaining settlement rule for this AUC.
Now you can Use this Project as Expenses Type Project !!
Case - 2. Assuming the WBSE is First Level and with One root : -
Better settle WBSE to AUC and Lock the project. Create new project and settle AUC value to new WBSE, If your client wants this actual cost also to be available in the newly created project otherwise you can directly settle to Cost center.

You can not change the project site format which you already have,You need to perform this one by one for project site.
As far as time is concerned it depends on your format.
Also you can create one project site template in which you can add your webpart, add library and give your format then attach that template with Enterprise Project Template so that at least new project site will have all the new format.

How to change a kext project to use C++ instead of C?

If I create a kext template XCode project and create a rudimentary kext, I can get it to compile and load it successfully.
But how do I change it so that I can use C++ within it instead of C? If I change the file extension of the source file from .c to .cpp it compiles but when I try and load it I get the error:
failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors.
( kernel.log and system.log don't give any additional info as to the cause of the problem)

You have to setup the correct kernel dependencies in your Info.plist file. This is the kernel version of specifying shared libraries. You have to tell the kernel which other kernel modules you want to link against. Here are the ones I used for my old C++ kernel extension. You may not need all of these and you may need different versions. I dug this code out of my old CVS repository.

I think (but I'm not sure) that iokit is the key, even if you aren't using iokit. That may be the one that gives you C++ support.

How to Change Package of project and BC4J package

I need to change the package of existing project and BC4J, before it was oracle.apps.xxcm.cms new package is oracle.apps.xxdl.cms, is there any way to change so that the entire BC4J packages Vo's EO's and java class files should change.

Babu, what Tapash said is correct the only option remains is to chaging package name in all files using grep and then manually changing the directory structure.

How to change to "archive project"?

I'm trying to save my docs as "archive project" but when I use "save as" that option is grayed out. I did get the option once, clicked on it, and when I looked in the file, it was not saved as "archive project." Can't combine two projects unless they are marked "archive project" which is the guitar only icon...not the guitar in the box.
Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

How do you move changes from your project developments into the maintenance development system?

Good day colleagues.
We are in the process of introducing retrofit, and the picture is clear for us, generally speaking, to retrofit the project landscape with the changes done in the maintenance landscape.
What about the other way around? We mean, when the project is set to Go Live, we understand the transports will be all added, e.g. to the Production System buffer to be moved there via Maintenance Cycle, based on the way we defined the project and the logical component being used.
However, how do you feed those project transports to your Maintenance Development System using ChaRM? or do you do that Manually? We doubt. Copying Production back into Development? no way !!!
How do you establish that? We have a sort of idea but the documents about retrofit only seem to talk about moving transports one way, as far as we have found.

I apologize for a late close on this questioning about moving projects back into the maintenance stream.
Basically there are 2 solutions as far as we know:
1. What Vivek mentions, which is performing a cutover and repacking the project transports into 2 transports in the maintenance stream: A workbench and a customizing.   In that sense, at the end of the day you end up moving just 2 transports to the maintenance stream up to Production.   They contain all your project objects. Thanks to Vivek, again.
This is a very practical and interesting approach. The only reason we did not adopt it, is based on the fact that if by any chance we encounter an issue with a project transport object in the maintenance stream (Dev or QA), now that all is bundled together, we may be stuck right at the time weare getting ready to GoLive. How tough is going to be that issue? how easy and quick to fix?how much would that affect the whole project time frame?   Those questions made us decide to option 2.
2. What we are doing is that at cutover we move at the same time all project transports to the transport buffer of each of the maintenance stream systems (Dev, QA, and Prod).   We first open the gate to move the transports to Dev and we test, then to QA and we test, as well. If there may be an issue, and the issue can not be quickly resolved by the project team, we can go up to the extreme of using a new feature introduced in ChaRM in SP10, if we are not wrong, but definitely available in SP12. That feature provides a way to selectively decide which transports of the release are to Go Live and which ones do not, although we have no had to use that feature, yet, but it is there.
We do not see any risk on adding the transports to the maintenance buffers at the same time. There are ways to control the systems that are open for receiving transports, and the project phases, which guarantees no room for error. There have to be deliberate actions taken (more than one in our case), to wrongly move a project to GoLive before its time comes.
That is more or less the scenario Piyush.
Hope that explains the scenario. So far no decision on really publishing as a blog. It seems not to be written on stone, as consulting with different companies, each adds its own flavor to the recipe and shuffle ideas to get to what they are looking for and makes them happy.

How to change company code in Assignment tab (CJ20n-project builder)

Dear All,
Is there any config to maintain company code in assignment tab (project builder) ? We have a problem in our project. It shows that in basic data, user put company code A (in basic data) but in Assignment tab they put different company code let say B. When we do settlement , two accounting document created to company code A and B. By right it should be only company code A. In addition, we cannot change the company code, when the status is already Release (REL).
Please help how to change the company code B to A and how to reverse the accounting document that has been created under these two accounting document.

Now I understand your scenario, you have the Requesting Company Code and the Company Code Different.
You usually use this primarily with IM module if you want to manage the asset under construction (cross company) belonging to a different i.e., company code (Requesting ) than company code on main WBS.
You can not change the company code (Assignment Tab) as you already have actual posted against it.
You've also created an AUC (in wrong company code) and even if you reverse the settlement you would not be allowed to delete the AUC or the delete the settlement rule (its grey out as its already used)
What I can suggest is to reverse the settlement, lock this WBS which was created wrongly, create a new WBS and then continue with you regular process.
Above are my views but you can expect views from others.

Premiere Pro CS3 - How to Save a Final Project to Make Changes to Afterwards

OK, I just registered to the forum and this is my first post/question.
I'm fairly new to Premiere Pro editing
, and I wondered if there was a way to save the whole edited project/sequence to an external drive in case the client wanted changes to the project after they had viewed it.
I edit mostly weddings, so the projects are anywhere from 1hr 30m to 1hr 50m. I've watched all the lynda.com tutorials on Premiere, and I know about saving the final project as an ISO image file or as DVD folder, etc.
Also, I thought I remembered hearing something about being able to 'delete' the footage that wasn't used in the project too, and just saving the edited project somehow? I just thought I'd ask before I go ahead and delete all the footage that pertains to this edit. I've made an ISO file, but it doesn't look like Premiere will load it; nor will it load the video_ts files/folder.
Anyway, so my questions are:
1. Is there a way to load an ISO file to make editing changes?
2. If not, then how could I save the whole project/sequence in order to load it back into Premiere to make any changes to the original edit?
3. Does anyone here use Premiere for wedding edits? And if so, how do you 'save' projects for the longterm, in case you wanted to make changes to it?
4. Once you have an ISO image file saved, how do you burn it through Encore? Or am I forced to use the Roxio Creator program?
I guess that's it for now. I'm sure there are many more questions that I need answered, but I'll save them for later. :-)

I do a LOT of weddings. Here's the process I've come up with over the years.
First, make a window dub of the whole thing. Sit down in front of a properly calibrated TV and home theater system and watch it from beginning to end. Make notes on what needs correction (here's where the visible timecode comes in handy) - music selections, audio levels, clips to be trimmed, color corrections, misspellings, etc.
Then, make those changes.
Next, author the final DVD for client review. Send that out with appropriate paperwork for a signed approval. Never delete/archive a project without client approval. Now, because some clients would take literally months to approve a project, I instituted a time limit of three weeks. After that, any project is considered approved and may be archived. I make this very clear, with the deadline in writing, when I send out the review sample.
If the video comes back for changes, things are still in place and I just make the requested changes, sending out another review copy with a two week limit this time. When an approval comes back or if a time limit passes, I finish up the project.
I make any remaining client copies, plus one copy of the DVD to go on a shelf. I also make an ISO for storage on an internal hard drive, to be moved later to an external hard drive at the end of every year. This gives me two master copies of the finished DVD.
I then save the project file, music and other audio selections, pictures and graphics to a CD (DVD if more space is needed, but this is rare). I make two copies in case one goes bad, and file them by groom's last name in a small CD file case. The previews and conformed files can always be rebuilt, so there's no need to save them. The actual media can be recaptured from tape, so they just get put on a shelf.

How can I set which projects use Proxy Media and not just change every project?

But I'm switching between projects a lot and I only want to use Proxy Media on one project, so how can I tell FCPX to only use Proxy Media on that ONE project?

Perhaps if apple didn't take back prores LT this wouldn't be as much of an issue.
Pores LT was a great compromise between file size and quality. It produced a fine image for most peoples needs and was 30% smaller.
Hopefully it will be returned soon. I can't imagine why it's not already there. Unless they want to charge for it, ... again..
Have you tried capturing as full res, then change prefs back to proxy, open a new project and import the full res files?
In FCP7 the render pref was separate from the capture pref. is that gone too?
If my idea doesn't work, Surely someone will chime in with a creative work around to this.
And hopefully it'll get fixed soon in an update.
