I was wondering how i can change the Command H shortcut on my macbook pro mountain lion.

I would like to allow the cmd-H to be passed into an application un-changed.
This has been an issue for many years with no solution that I have found. I was only able to find a post where Adobe CS3 application allowed it to be mapped to their shortcut instead of hiding a window in OS X. I just want OS X to leave it alone and pass it to a appplication (VM) unchanged.

There is no focusListener and there ain't any focus events in j2me,
if you want to have this effect you need to have only one command per item
so that it won't appear in 'options' menu

Our system is recently upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6. When we compared both versions we found the KNVV table fields descriptions are changed in 4.7(customer modifications done in 4.7) and same these customer modifications are not copied to ECC 6 from 4.7 version.
So I tried to change the short description at domain level with the help of access key. But the description is not changed. Can you please let me know is there any procedure that how can we change the fields description for standard tables.

You need not use access key to change field labels
Transaction CMOD -> Go to -> Text Enhancements -> Keyword -> Change.
Here you can change all data element KNVGR1 to KVGR5

How to change the Admin's short name?

I just got my Powerbook G4 back from repair and when they loaded on OSX they made the short name just "a." Not that it is a very big deal but I get frusterated when in the finder it says "a's computer" I really wish I could change my short name for the admin but I'm not sure if i can without reinstalling OSX.

However, when the system refers to "a's computer" that is not the short name. It is the Computer Name, to be used if you are on a local network. This can easily be changed in System Preferences > Sharing.

How to change the "short name (account name?)" and home directory name?

Hi,
I recently purchased a new iMac and migrated account info from my MacBook Pro. I happened to use random account name during migration without knowing it will not be easy to change the short name (account name?) and home directory name. As a result, I am now having extremely confusing short name and home directory name on my new iMac.
I did online search to find out how to change the two names, but I could only found somethig like "enabiling root user and....." I have no idea what it was talking about and I don't want to take risk altering such advance set up manually.
Please advice how I can change the short name and home directory name safely without much PC knowledge.

There are a few ways of doing this. The easiest method is logging into the first account and copying everything to an external drive (or flash drive or whatever), which changes the permissions so that others can see the files.
Then, login with the new account and copy the files over. Once they are copied, the correct permissions will be applied again (so other people on your computer can't access them).
If you can't do this method for one reason or other, you can do some terminal commands to change the ownership of the files. Login to the new account. If it is an admin account, open terminal and type the following command:
sudo chown -R -v yourusername:admin /Users/originalaccountnamehere
That should change the ownership of the files from your old account to the new one. At that point, you can simply drag the files into place.

go to SE80
Open the program.. open node GUI Status
Double click on the status you want to change
go to menu GOTO>ATTRIBUTES>STATUS
click on continue or simply enter
Here change the short text and continue or enter
activate it

Hi Neil,
Normally this is achieved via the "ip ssh port rotary " but unfortunately, this command is not implemented on your platform so ssh will only work on port 22.

Okay. In the interests of being completely clear:
I have already tried this. Several times. This procedure will change the default for any of the fields that I place by hand. It does not change the default for any of the fields placed by the Wizard. I was unable to find a solution to the problem in any of the manuals, books, or on-line forums, which is why I posted here as a last resort. This leads to two conclusions:
A. Your advice is incorrect
B. There is a problem with my installation of Acrobat
I will assume that A is not the correct conclusion. I will therefore try a re-install of my software to see if this clears up the problem. There have been other issues with other Adobe software on my machine that a re-installed has fixed nicely. Luckily, I don't have to do this at all often.

Cisco ASA 5505: How to change the default OS

I'm learning how to work on the Cisco ASA 5505. My machine has two OS images: the old 7. whatever image and a more recent 8.2 image. The 8.2 image is lower in the index on disk0 so whenever I reboot the machine, the start up points it towards the older image and I have to go into ROMMON to boot the newer OS. Could someone please guide me on how to change the position of the newer OS so that it's the default image? I'd like to do this without deleting the older image so that I can have a proof of concept.

You could use the 'boot system' global command to force the ASA to the pointed image file.
boot system flash:/image.bin
