How to change the Dashboard's name?

Any one can tell me how to change the Dashboard's name? Seems can only change the page name of Dashboard.

Thanks all, i have finished the rename operaiton. but i don't know whether it will have any affects on the existing dashboard pages ?

Go to settings --> Administration --> Manage Presentation Catalog --> Go to your dashboard folder --> _portal --> Edit Name and Description

How to change the RPD file name without deploying on EM

Is there a way to change the RPD file name so it doesn't have BI0002 or BI0003 on the end of it? I can delete my BI0002 file and point the NQSConfig.ini file to my new FileName.rpd but when the BI services restart the BI0002 file reappears in the repository directory and the NQSConfig file changes to reflect this. It's like the only way you can change this is in the Enterprise Manager, but that always adds the suffix to the file.
Any suggestions?
Here's what the docs say:
When you upload a repository, it is copied to the local repository directory for each Oracle BI Server component, located at:
ORACLE_INSTANCE\bifoundation\OracleBIServerComponent\coreapplication_obisn\repository
If you have published the repository in shared mode, then the repository is also copied to the shared network location.
After the repository is uploaded, it is given a version number suffix (for example, SampleApp_bi001.rpd). This version number is incremented each time that the repository is uploaded. To revert to a previous version, you must re-upload the specific version of the repository to use.
Note that you can delete older versions from the repository directory or shared network directory to reclaim disk space.
What does that mean? I have to use an old rpd file in order to get rid of the suffix?

It can be changed, although I do not no exactly how. You have to take a look at the MBeans which are used to deploy a new repository. The suffixed is used to insure you do not overwrite an existing RPD

How to change the ipad's name in iTunes

When i connect ipad to PC, the iTunes gives it the name as " "My PC Account" 's ipad" automatically.
For the reason of facility management, I need to change the ipad's name which appear at iTunes.
How to fix it?

It doesn't work for me. In iTunes I renamed my iPad, then sync it with ipad. After disconnecting and then reconnecting the device, only old name appears in iTunes. It seems the change of name is volatile! Can anyone help? Thanks.

How to change the TestStand directroy name?

I'm interested to change the TestStand directroy name to 'TestStand' instead of 'TestStand 3.0' or 'TestStand 3.1'.
I'm facing a problem with this name. Here is an explanation:
Right now we have TS3.0 and TS3.1 installed on several computers. We work on projects that share modules (like GPIB). These modules are in a ClearCase system, so each one of us can use them and modify them. These modules call to some TS files like 'tsutil.fp' (which is located on the C drive). As a result of different TS names, the project which formerly called a file in TestStand 3.0 directory is now looking for the same file in TestStand 3.1 directory which it doesn't find...
Can you advice me how to modify the TestStand directory name to 'TestStand'?.

In TestStand, if you go to the Configure>>Search Directories menu, you can add user defined paths to search directories. You have the option to add/remove/move up and move down the search directories. However these options are valid only for user defined search directories. The paths to directories that come shipped with TestStand cannot be removed or moved up/down. In your case, I would suggest that you create a custom path to the directory where you want to search and move it right to the top of the list using the "move up" button. In this way that particular directory will be searched first.

How to change the sender's name/email-id in the scheduled report

Hi,
We have SCOM 2007 R2. In the Reporting tab (SCOM Console), we have some scheduled reports. I need to change the sender's name/email-id in a scheduled report. When we receive the report through email, receiving with the person's name who moved out of the
team.
I tried to change but could not find the option to change while editing the properties in SCOM Console under Reporting -> Scheduled Reports.
When we are receiving mail from that scheduled report, instead of an individual name, would like to provide a generic name. Please help me out. Let me know, if you need more information.

Hello,
the SCOM scheduled reports feature rely on SQL Reporting Services. So, if you would like to change the SMTP configuration, you should go in SQL Reporting Services Configuration Manager:
Open in the Start Menu, Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
In the connection window, click OK.
Click on the tab E-mail settings.
Change the Sender Address.
Click Apply.
Alternatively, you could also change in the Scheduled report properties the field
Reply to. I think it should customize the reply address for each scheduled reports, but I have never used it. Anyway, doing it with Reporting Services Configuration Manager is more interesting in the long-run.

How to change the print queue name with Lexmark printer?

Is it at all possible to change the print queue name from Lexmark_3500_4500_Series, to something shorter? I try to link printouts from an old Sun Unix system, thru my iMac to the Lexmark X4580 multifunction printer. However, the Sun/Unix will not accept this long print queue name...

Apologies, I misread. The only way I know of changing the Print Queue Name is by readding the printer.
 > System Preferences > Print & Scan > Add
Choose your printer, make sure you change the print queue name to something different (equates to the Printer Name).
When you need to print, simply select the printer you just added.
Once your happy it works, delete the old printer from the list in Print & Scan.

How to change the excel file name which is in Application server...

hi friends,
my requirement is getting failed, when i'm trying to change the file name which is in Application server using the FM: SXPG_COMMAND_EXECUTE.
when i execute above FM, i can see all my required details in SM69 like:
COMMAND NAME: ZSPOOL_TEST1
OS: Windows NT
TYPE: Customer
OS COMMAND: cmd rename Y:\OBRZ.PDF OBRZ38582.PDF
once the above FM is executed, i'm getting SY-SUBRC = 2 (exception: COMMAND_NOT_FOUND).
so, can any one guide me how to resolve this issue or is there any other way to rename the file which is in AS?

First you can tranfer the AS server file to a new application server file.
Then you delete the original file .
To do that you can write code as follows --
DATA : w_file(8) TYPE c VALUE 'FILE_NAM', " your present AS file name

       fs_itab(255) TYPE c,
       t_itab LIKE TABLE OF fs_itab.

READ DATASET w_file INTO fs_itab. " Reading value from the AS file to field string
IF sy-subrc NE 0.
    EXIT.
ELSE.
    APPEND fs_itab TO t_itab. " Populating internal table form the file value
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
OPEN DATASET w_new FOR INPUT IN BINARY MODE. " creating a new file if that does not exist
LOOP AT t_itab INTO fs_itab.
TRANSFER fs_itab TO w_new. " Transfering to file
ENDLOOP.
CLOSE DATASET w_file..
DELETE DATASET w_file. " Dleting the old file
CLOSE DATASET w_new. " Closing the final file

How to change the Ethernet Interface name in Solaris 10

I have to install Oracle 10G RAC on three nodes with different ethernet cards, but the ethernet interface name must be the same which is the precondition for Oracle RAC installation.
So I want to know how can I change the ethernet name in Solaris.
For example, the ethernet name in the OS is "ce0", how can i change the interface name "ce0" to "e1000g0".

How to change the "created by" name in calendar entries

My iPad calendar events have a typo in the "created by" name field. Does anyone know where this name comes from and how to change it?
I'm running the latest iOS. I sync with Outlook on a stand-alone Windows 7 PC via iCloud (not using Exchange). It does not seem to matter on which device the events are created.

This type of question should really be asked in the Feedback on Developer Exchange forum or by email the site administrator directly, I'm sure the people that recieve these messages as part of their newsgroup services don't want read about DE specific problems.
That being said, click on "My Profile" in the top right corner of all NI web pages. From there click on "Modify Profile". You will see a box containing your information including your "Alias", click on edit and change your alias.

Hi Camilo
You can add new tabs in the dashboard using the Config xRPM -> Global Customizing -> Global Field Settings -> Define Fields for Dashboard and select the Object as 'RIH' for Item Dashboard. Here you can enter the list of item attributes that you would like to be part of dashboard.
Refresh the cache after changing these attributes to reflect.

How to change the Group Display Name in the UME?

Hello experts,
from time to time due to reorganisation our departments group names change.
So far this was a big deal because it is not possible to change the Display Name of a group created in the Portal´s UME?
So far a new group with the department name has to be created and all group members have to be connected to the new group again. This is not a convenient way..
Is there a way to configure the UME to allow to modify the Display Names of Groups?

However my problem is still not solved.
I am using the portal groups also as permission objects for KM. That´s why I do not want to create a new group because the new one will not appear in the ACLs of the KM Objects.
For me it is important to modify the Display Name of an existing Group. The GroupID shall not change. The new Display Name should be updated then automatically in the ACLs of KM Objects in question.
By exporting the group data:
[group]
gid=TeamA
gdesc=All members of Team A
user=member1, member2
There is no parameter for changing the Display Name of the group. There is only the Description Parameter.
So far I didn´t find any solution.
Any other ideas.

This may be an easier method for you to do what you want. Open Accounts in *System Preferences*. Click the padlock to unlock your admin account.
Right click on your *My Account* name in the left hand window. Choose *Advanced Options*. This brings up a window that will allow you to change the short name easily. As long as you don't mess with any of the other settings you should be OK. Change the Account name and the User directory name to match.
Be sure to go under sharing in System Preferences and change the computer name also.

How to change the pdf's name

Hi Experts,
I need the functionality to predefine a pdf's name if the save button is clicked. In the window where I can browse to the destination where the pdf should be saved I want to set the filename.
For example; After click on the save button the pdf's name is like the forms name (here e.g. "BILL_FRM_PREVIEW.pdf" ). Instead of BILL_FRM_PREVIEW I want to set an other name. Every saved form shpuld have an other name.....
How can I realize this request?

You go on to
System Preferences > Acounts > Then unlock the security settings
Right Click on your Account Name
Click Advanced Options
Then simply Change the Account Name there.
Save it and you are done.
An easy way to change the name of your Main Folder - the one that looks like a House!

The problem with this, is some applications use the username to judge where they are installed. For those, changing the account name may disable certain DRM for those applications. This tip of yours would probably be best posted to the operating system you've tested it on forum, and not the iMac PPC forum, as that's just for one machine, and not every machine that has that operating system.
