How to change the Excise Duty ?

Hi,
How to change the Excise Duty from 16% to 14%.
We treid to chage in the Tcode J1ID. But its effects are not showing in Sales order. What is the customization to get these effects???

Dhan,
There are different procedures Tax INJ and Tax INN.
For Tax INJ
Define new tax codes in FTXP and the same should be maintained in the Condition records in VK11.
For Tax INN
Change the values in Condition types.
As you are mentioning that you had gone through J1ID which is tax code based(INJ),so maintain the condition records in VK11 and end the validity date for the old tax codes using VK12.

Scenario is like this if we purchase a lot of material then vendor gives free on some qty. then we make a purchase order for free material with tax code zero. Vendor supply that free material with excise duty. Now we do GRN & take part1 entry. How to capture part II entry. This is capital item.

If you are following J1IEX route , then Tick MRP indicator & enter Excise duty values & take Part2.
It is assumed that all other master data like chapter heading etc are set.

There are two procedures used regarding the same
1.TAXINJ
2.TAXINN
1. If procedure is TAXINJ
With ur FI consultant define new taxcode for excise duty 14%. & maintain the same in condition record (VK11) vaild from today 01.03.2008 to 31.12.9999
Go to Vk12 & end the validiity date to 29.02.2008
Now check in sales order
2.If procedure is TAXINN
Cahnge condition value corresponding to excise duty condition type in Tcode: KV11

How to re-capture excise duty which is issue aginst subcontract PO

I have made a Subcontract PO with item category as L, with full payment of excise duty in subcontract there are two BOM component, then i have done MB1B ref. to MB1B document number excise invoice created with J1IS for the raw materials which we have supplied, as in case of subcontract with full payment of excise duty there is no need to create subcontract challn now I have made the GR for finish product, now how to capture the excise duty back when I ma trying to J1IEX capture excise inovice ref. to GR or PO it is showing me only finish material in the J1IEX not the RM, as the excise duty is on the RM only not on Finish product in vendor PO tax is as labour chagres only.

I wan to put some basic things here
1) when you send material to vendor with excise duty ,then vendor will take credit of that material ( your child material)
2) After processing your child material vendor will send final material only not child material
so how you will capture incoming excise for component which already consume by vendor?
second thing if you received excise invoice from your vendor for final product then check that invoice you will get only Final material name and qty, there not child material with excise if am not wrong

At my client level , TAXINJ is being used as Tax Procedure.
Now there are budgetary changes in excise duty from 16% to 14%.
From Sales and Raw material wise.
Also, there are some open orders to be delivered , what would be the process to change the excise duty in them.
So Kindly let me know the procedure to change the same at the earlist.

Please maintain the Excise rate as 14% instead of 16% in J1ID and enter todays date in Valid from column.

FI-AP Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT

Sub: A/P Tax Code not considering the excise duty while calcuating the VAT
Hi Frnds.
I have a typical problem.
Till now we are using a "W6" as a tax code, where Excise-10%, Ed Cess-2%, SEd Cess-1% and VAT-4%.
But as the Govt. rules changed I have created a new tax code "W8" by copying the W6 and modified the VAT to 5% by changing the condition record JVRD.
The new tax code is not calculating VAT part correctly. It is taxing into consideration Invoice Base value, Ed Cess & SEd Cess (Omiting the Excise Duty).
I have checked my Tax Procedure, there everything is fine. Even my old tax code "W6" is working correctly.
Let me know where the error lies.
Here is the scenario
00. Tax code                       -   W6   -   W8   - Current Staus of W8
01. Invoice Base               - 355181 - 351798 - 353324 (by SAP Document Simulation View)
02. Excise @ 10% on 01.        - 35518 - 35180 - 35332
03. Ed Cess @ 2% on 01.        -    710 -    704 -    707
04. SEd Cess @ 1% on 01.       -    355 -    352 -    353
05. VAT @ 4% on (010203+04) - 15671 -   0     - 0

Pls. let me know how to come over the issue.
By the way I am using the above tax code at FB60 transaction code.

Acutually we planned to implement SAP - FI & MM Modules only, and all the configuration is done in the system, but at the final stage our management is not satisfied with MM area, so finally we have gone live with only FI Moudle.
By the way thankyou for the reply. I have maintained 100% in JMX1 for the new tax code and it is working fine.
I will give you full points.

How to change the frequency of pulse train on the fly using an array of values?

Hi all!
First I want to thank U for the great job you are doing for this forum.
Iam still busy trying to control a stepper motor, by sending pulses from my E-series 6024 to a compumotor s6- stepper Driver. I've managed to get it working. I desperately need to control the motor using the values from an array. I believe we can use two approaches for that:
1st - I can get an array of the "numbers of pulses". Each element must run for 10 milliseconds. Using that we can calculate the array of frequencies to send the number of pulses within 10 milliseconds for each specific element. Could we use the arrays of "number of pulses" and frequencies in a "finite pulse train " and up
date with each element every 10 millisecond?
2nd - Or Could we use of the frequency array in a "continuous pulse train vi" and update it every 10 milliseconds?
Please note that I must use the values as they are.
Can someone please built a good example for me? Your help will be appreciated.

"While in a loop for continuous pulse train generation, make two calls to Counter Set Attribute.vi to set the values for "pulse spec 1" (constant 14) and "pulse spec 2" (constant 15). Following these calls you would make a call to Counter Control.vi with the control code set to "switch cycle" (constant 7). The attached LabVIEW programs demonstrate this flow."

A business document, in India, that you prepare when you issue excisable goods from a manufacturing plant, for example:
·        To be sold to a customer
·        To be transferred to another of your plants
The excise invoice lists the goods that you have issued and states how much excise duty applies. Your customer uses the excise invoice to claim back the excise that it has paid from the excise authorities.
Use
In the system, there are three different procedures for creating excise invoices
·        Sales direct from the factory
This procedure is for when you sell manufactured goods straight from the factory at which they were produced, in which case you levy excise duty when the goods leave the factory on their way to the customer.
If, when you send the goods to the customer, you enclose the commercial invoice, you create the excise invoice with reference to the commercial invoice. If you want to send the commercial invoice after you have dispatched the goods, however, you create the excise invoice with reference to a pro forma commercial invoice. For more information about these procedures, see Sales from Factories.
As well as creating excise invoices individually, you can also create them in batches (see Creation of Excise Invoices in Batches).
·        Sales from depots
A depot is a site at which the goods are stored, away from the factory at which they were produced. In this procedure, you have to levy the excise duty when you transfer the goods from the factory to the depot, and then make sure this is passed on to the customer when it makes a purchase. ·        Sales (other goods movements)

we have 10gAsR1 installed as a Portal instance. We have 6-server
load balancer => webcache as loadbalancer (listening port 80)
Wb ch1 and wb ch2 => webcache (listening port 7777)
portal1 and portal2 => Portal listening 7778
infra =>Infrastruture with repository Portal/Oracle SSO (listening 7777)
This set up is working fine for our intranet setup, now we need to open this for couple of external clients. Well initially we need to open on the load balancer server on port 80 for external team to access, it works fine when we make it publc access.
Now when we need to make it SSO (siteminder) enables, when users click on login link it first goes oracle sso then it internally redirects the page to site minder sso.
Well, I have noted that the sso server details are mentioned in global setting sso/oid details. Since we need to open this for external client we have to add a DNS entry for this so that we can allow its access over firewall..
Now I have made DNS name change at my infrserver level, now I need to update the change at the load balancer server (where wheb chache is running).
Any one know how to chang the URL at load balancer.
I am struck at this point please suggest how should i proceed..

I looked into the previous threads , could not find the answer to "Changing the privacy statement url to clients privacy statement url".
I am talking about the privacy statement URL in the page that user see it as soon as user logs into the e-business suite.
I have read the previous theads and developers guide regading how to show or hide this autofooter thing. but could not find any thing about how to change the one in the login page.I even looked ino personalization but could not find a place to change this url. please HELP.
Another question is " is it ok to show privacy statement in just the first page and hide it in rest of the application pages?"

I need to store all the Self Service application prompts in dedicated Media Server. I can modify location of all the Media files by passing the related URL form CVP application, however I need to know how to change the default location of Prompt file played by Play Media Microapplication in ICM Scripting.
Currently the default location taken by Play Media Micro App is the Media _Server.variable path set for VXML Server location while I have a separate Media Server.
Please advice how we can customize the MicroApp Media path.

Try this in your ICM script, define set variables i.e.
set Media Server= ip address of media server
set Locale = en-us
set input Type = DTMF only
set App Media Lib = " you new location i.e. test "
So, the application path will be
http://media server ip address/en-us/test

Hi Neil,
Normally this is achieved via the "ip ssh port rotary " but unfortunately, this command is not implemented on your platform so ssh will only work on port 22.
