How to change the graphics screen size in oel5

Hi,
Now i have installed enterprise linux 32-bit in my desktop and while entering into graphics mode(i,e using Alt+F7),the screen is only 3/4 of my desktop screen remaining 1/4 is blank .How to recover this problem manually.Pls provide me the solution.

Did you mean change the Lync: Change the Default Font and Color of Instant Messages just as Edwin said above?
If not, as I know, there is no natural way to change it.
If yes, on the latest version of Lync 2013 client, there is a new option “IM” on Lync client “Options” list. And you need to change the default Font and Color of IM in the interface of “IM”.

How to change the picture frame size in Lightroom 5 Book

I would like to control the actual picture frame size when making a Book in Lightroom 5. Or else know the sizes of the different picture frames provided by choosing the different page layouts. That way I can either change the picture frame dimensions to accomodate each photo or change the image size to fit in the offered picture frame. I find that using the software as is winds up cropping the images in unwanted ways. Modifying the picture frame would be my preferred alternative. Appreciate any ideas

I have been using Adobe Photoshop 7, Photoshop Elements, Perfect Photo Suite, Photo Studio, etc., changing Image size, placing a picture on a page and then, do a simple last minute size adjustment by using the arrows to stretch or shrink it in place. Things would be a lot simpler if I could do the same thing with the cells in Lightroom 5. Cell pad adjustments do not fill the bill.

How to get the actual screen size

Hi,
I have to get the actual screen size of the cliend in an applet, if i use method
Dimension dmx = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getScreenSize();
it does not gives the actual screen size, like the screen size will be different if the application bar ( where we have start button on windows ) is Auto hide, and will be different it is not Auto Hide, or some users ike to keep the application bar on right or left of screen or on top..
So how do we get the actual display size of screen

How to change the default font size in X11?

I was a PC/linux user and have switched to use Mac lately (MBP Snow leopard 10.6.8).
Everything's been running perfectly on Mac so far and I really like it, until I have to run some programs on XQuartz/X11 (XQuart 2.7.0).
The default font size in the Xterm is too small. And I hate it that I have to change it everytime i open a new terminal (via vt fonts menu, ctrl+right-mouse click).
Is there a way to change the default font size "permanently" in XQuartz/X11 ??
This may be a stupid question to ask in the developer forum but i cant really solve it.
There's only config. file ~/.Xdefaults they have mentioned so far on Google but i really cant find it regarding to the directorty.

You would be surprised to find out that is not like this, to get your account blocked you really need to do a lot of damage and posts are not removed unless they are illegal, and *always* it needs more than a person to delete something. That's a site managed by the community, not by some people put in place by a company.
It is always acceptable to link to external resources as long these resources do provide additional usefull information. Clearly the thread on that side contained much more information than the one here. I observed people linking from there to this forum, but it's not so common, and that's not due to the policy, just because here is more chat and less usefull information.... you will not see endless threads of replies on with "yes, I have the same problem" there.
Shortly, this is "discussions" and is quite different in approach than the SE model, where everythign is aimed towards getting the be answers UP and removing all the nonsense.
I wish that Apple would invest more in discussion, and going towards making this more practical.

I’d like to change the font and size in the fillable field of an encrypted PDF file I-485 from www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-485.pdf
I’m using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 in Windows XP. I firstly tried Adobe LiveCycle Designer, but the I-485 file requires password to be opened, which I don’t know.
Then I tried to print it to a PDF file, and use the Typewriter tool to fill in the form. But got error message while printing it to PDF file:
This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.
Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.
The I-485 file can be exported to unencrypted postscript file, but got the same error message while trying to open the ps file.
I don’t know much about pdf file, can anyone please help?

How to change the default library size...

I have a PowerMac G4 with 1.25ghz and 1.25gig memory. I also have about 7500 photos, a total of about 10 gig, with about 1/3 taken with a Nikon D70. As you might guess, iPhoto (and only iPhoto) is really slow to open and close...I get the beachball for a minute or so before anything happens.
In reading topics surrounding the slowness of loading/closing iPhoto, one person suggested changing the default size of the iPhoto library...but they didn't say how? I'm assuming that this changes it so that the system doesn't need to show the whole library? This isn't just viewing the pictures as large pictures instead of thumbnails is it?
Any help would be appreciated....also, if there is another solution I'd love to hear about it.

As you've read the problem comes from your Nikon camera and the MakerNotes it creates and adds to each image file. I believe you're referring to splitting up your library into smaller sub libraries. That can be done by making a duplicate of your current library, call it Lib1. Then open Lib1 with iPhoto and delete all the photos but those you want in that particular library. Make another duplicate of the original library, Lib2, and repeat the process. That way you'll have multiple smaller libraries that you can manage with either iPhoto Buddy or iPhoto Library Manager.
Eric Lindsay developed applescripts to remove the MakerNote information from the Library.iPhoto file which gets the speed back up to what it should be. However, any new imports from the Nikon will add MakerNotes.

I Need To Change The Resolution In A Graphic Without Changing The Graphic's Size

I am trying to make a banner for a parade, and am stuck because the banner company can't print my design. I made my design with two different layers. I have a black layer which is 8 inches by 2.5 inches high, and the logo graphic which I have copied and pasted from the place which wants me to use this logo in the banner. This graphic has way too low of a resolution, so I tried to change it (It is 4 inches by 1.5 inches). I made the resolution of the first layer (the 8 inch by 2.5 inch) at 1000. I took the graphic and copied it and make it at the same resolution. However, when I tried to copy and paste the smaller graphic, it wouldn't let me paste it into the 8 inch by 2.5 inch layer. I got the message that the graphic was too big to paste into that layer. But the measurements for that are still the same; 4 inches by 1.5. If I could really keep that measurement at a resolution of 1000, it would work. What am I doing wrong this time? Thanks.

First of all, there's no point in going over 300 ppi, since the eye can't detect any difference beyond that level. The answer here is still the same as it was when you asked back in June:

So you would need to set the bottom layer to the resolution you want. However, 1000 ppi isn't going to look better than 300 or so.
and in re your other threads, PSE doesn't do vector graphics.

I am trying to implement the same functionality. I've tried to reset the format using the trackControl.setFormat method but this only appears to be supported while the processor is in a configured state. I'm still investigating, but if you happen to know a solution please let me know.

That's a pretty general question. If its a path, the functionality you need is in the AIPath.h header; if its something else you need the correct suite to deal with it. I'd start by playing around with the SDK's examples -- they have something solid code that shows how you modify paths & other basic a Illustrator art types. If you run into trouble come back with a more specific question -- asking how you modify art in general is simply to broad a topic.

How to change the document page size in a PDF?

OK can't figure a way to do this and hoping it's still possible. On mac snow leopard, adobe X pro. Use to be able to resize the pages in a pdf by printing to the pdf distiller. As this is no longer possible how do I accomplish this? I often have document set pdf's that are 30" x 42" that I want to create a pdf on letter or tabloid size. I can print - so i'm not talking about that. I mean creating a new pdf where the new document size is letter or tabloid. There must be a way to have Adobe save out a new pdf with the pages scaled? HELP it's driving me crazy

I changed the widh and height of the selected items. While converting stroke weight of the selected item also changed. But i need to change the width and height of the selected items without any modification in the stroke weight(scale strokes and effects). Could you please advice me the possiblilities and solution via scripting.

How to change the entry screen for Fast entry

My scenario is that I want to allow my user to enter the cost assignment as well for infotype 14, 15 and 2010 in the fast entry. I noticed that there is actually a screen in the module pool mp001400, mp001500 and mp200000 which include those 'cost assignment' fields.
For example, in mp001500, screen 2000 is the standard one while screen 5100 is the one with the 'cost assignment' fields. So I created an entry for mp001500 screen 5100 in table T588M and saved it. However, when I try to use the transaction PA70 to create it0015 records again, it still use the standard screen 2000.
What else I have to do so that when I use PA70, screen 5100 will be called up.

Hi there. Go into the IMG through transaction SPRO and follow this path:
Personnel management -> Personnel administration -> Customizing procedures -> Infotype Menus -> Set up infotype menu for fast data entry. Then select "screen types for fast data entry" and click the "choose" button. You can now see each infotype that is included in fast entry, the default screen, and the fast data entry screen. We use screen 5100 in certain cases for infotypes 0014 and 0015, so we have two entries in this table for each of those infotypes. Here are the values we have:
infotype, screen control, default value, fast data entry, selection report
0014 (blank) 4000 5000 RPLFST00
0014 01 4100 5100 RPLFST00
0015 (blank) 4000 5000 RPLFST00
0015 01 4100 5100 RPLFST00

How to change the Code Cache size of the jvm

I use jconsole to monitor the jvm, details like this:

Be defaut there is 32M max for the "Code Cache" memory pool. It is 100% used after a 2-day running. Is there any way to increase it like "PS Perm Gen" pool?

I believe the option you are looking for is
-Xmaxjitcodesize32m
Note that there is no = sign in there. Change the numbers to something bigger and it should work with a bigger code cache.
