How to change the look and feel of the R/3 transactions in portals.....
I need to change the color of the screen display and nodes.
Is there any easier way to do that....Kindly provide the inputs...

Hi Jasmine,
generally you have to "Theme Editor" in the portal which allows top level customization of design elements/ colours for the R/3 applicatins to be integrated into the portal.
Changed designs on a deeper levels for ITS can be done with SAP@Web Studio. Kindly check the help for further information.

How to give BSP Iview look and feel of portal??

Hi All,
I've created a BSP application that I use to create an Iview for portal.
I thought that if i used htmlb tags that the look and feel of portal would be automatic to my app but its not.
I've tried assigning portal css classes to a html table but there's no effect.
I've previewed one of the standard ivews and viewed the source and found the path of the css file. But when i looked for it on the server, while the out folder was there (com.sap.portal.design.portaldesigndata) , there was no css files in this folder.
So i'm at a loss. In summary, how do i get my bsp app to have the portal look and feel????? I would prefer to use the css files so that if any changes are made to the standard, the changes will be reflected in my custom iviews too.
Any help, would be most welcome,

on the properties tab for the BSP application try selecting the "Supports Portal Integration" checkbox.

My bad, my post was unclear.
I wasn't sure what you meant by src. You clarified that point.
By (re)reading parts of the online text book, I realized that it's quite outdated. They really should issue a more up-to-date version.

How to change the default currency in CJ32 and CJ33

As required by the user, I want to know how to change the default currency from controlling area currency to object currency in TCODE CJ32 and CJ33. Currently, the controlling area currency will be defaulted in the field "Views in".

Hi Christiana ,
Once you are in tcode CJ30 / CJ32 , Enter either Project definition or WBS element and this shall take you to the Budget screen and once you are here you can find a drop down with two options .One is Controlling are currency and the other one is Object currency.
Since the Currency is set to Object currency in OPS9, System shall allow the budget values in Object currency and if the user wants to see the same values in Controlling are currency ,then the user needs to view the values in Controlling are currency using the drop down .

check out the smart styles...create a font of ur size n use.
Define the paragraphs & character formats using SMARTSTYLES & use them in your smartform.
You have to give the smartstyle name in the Form attributes-->Output options for the formats to be used in your smartform.
You can define font size in Smartform Style.
Smartform Styles > Charcterformat> Font --> size.
to load the font to SAP server chk this

Do you mean you kept the same account but you only updated your AppleID?
Just log out and log back in with new ID.
Note that the AppleID is embedded into the item at purchase and cannot be changed.
However, when you change your AppleID, it will link the old account name to the new account name so you will not have any problems updating apps using the new AppleID.

Changing the primary colors for Look N Feel

We have an application that has a menu option to change the look n feel, currently using 4 or so of the standard ones. We are trying to change some of the colors to create a new skin / feel approp for our company.

But so far I am unable to change one fo the primary colors and have it noticably effect the other component colors.I recommend you use camickr's great utility UIManagerDefaults to know the nimbus' basic colors:

In that utility, change the look and feel to Nimbus, choose *'By Value Type'* radio button and select *'color'* in the combo box, all the default colors would be displayed, search for colors which appear to be basic colors ( not DerivedColor type )
Using that utility, I found some basic colors that are really changing the look and feel e.g.
nimbusBase, nimbusGreen, nimbusRed, nimbusOrange, etc.
e.g. Try:
UIManager.put("nimbusBase", new ColorUIResource(new Color(100,50,150)));Thanks!

How do I get a more modern look and feel for a compiled help file

I gather from reading various posts that there is no easy way
to generate a .chm file with a more modern look and feel (am I
right about this?). Are there no plug-ins available from Adobe that
will enable us to generate a help file that looks more modern?
I hesitate to move to flash help or something like that
because, of course, then the developers would have to hookup the
hundreds of dialog boxes we have in our product to the new files. I
also think that having one file is way easier to manage in terms of
getting updated help to the customers. What are online Help
developers generally delivering for apps where users are not
connected to the Internet except perhaps periodically while using
the software? I'm a writer (not a developer) so need soemthing that
is easy to implement :-)

To add to the advice already offered, you can apply a skin to
a CHM file which allows you to customise it. However as with most

Correct. Apps are Tied to the Apple ID that Purchased them...

We are using R/3 version of ISA B2B site. while creating order thru Shopping Basket we have requirement that We need to provide GTC (General Terms and Condions) for the Partner (View GTC link ). Right now some default text is displayed in that window (text text text ext text text text text text like that). we need to change this.
where i can change this text and enter our own terms and conditions.

Hi Siva,
the GTC is shown in the JSP b2c/order/terms_and_conditions.jsp. If you have a look at the file, you will find the following code:
<isa:translate key="b2c.order.termsAndConds.txt.dmy"/>
The translate tag will render the language dependant text for the resource key "b2c.order.termsAndConds.txt.dmy". To change the content that is shown you can change the resource text or create your own resource key in the corresponding resource file. The resource files are located in the src-folder of the web application DC.

What version of jre is the older style java look and feel?

I have two windos xp systems, one running the 1.5.0_05 JRE and one running the 1.4.2_08 JRE.
The system that has the more up to date version has a more aesthetically pleasing java (metal) LookAndFeel. The older version has dark gray buttons/backgrounds and has purple scrollbars. The newer version has a lighter gray background with light blue (and partially shaded) buttons, scrollbars, checkboxes, etc.
Does anyone know what version of the JRE made the move from the older style LookAndFeel to the newer one?

There were only maintence releases between 1.4.2 and 1.5.0. So the answer is 1.4.2 (old) 1.5.0 (new).

How Can I Create a Custom Panel With the InDesign ToolBar's Look and Feel

I am trying to create a custom panel that looks as close as possible to InDesign's native floating menu bar (with the Frame, Text, etc, icons on it). ToggleBarButtons doesn't look like, although it does contain the functinoality of the button which is pressed stayting pressed.
Any ideas?
