IF these were iTunes ring tones and you could not get them back, there was a back in the iOS 8 upgrade. This is restored in iOS 8.1.2. If you have not upgraded yet to 8.1.2 you should do that.

Cherry, welcome to the forum.
You should go into the BIOS setup by tapping the "esc" key continuously as the computer is booting. This will take you to a Menu. Choose F10 for BIOS setup. Once you are into the BIOS, use the arrow keys to move to the "Exit" Tab. Press the "Enter" key to open this Tab. Move down to the Default settings (may be a bit different wording) option. Press "Enter" again. You want to choose "Save and exit". This should set the computer back to the way it was when you bought it.
Now, for the password. The only choice that you have is do a System Recovery. There is no way to use the computer without the password.
For future reference, when requesting help you should always include the make/model (i.e. p6-xxxx) of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them.

I don't know what model computer you have and despite this being a forum for legacy software, most people who post here tend to have modern machines with modern problems.
I'll offer this; Open System Preferences, > Universal Access (on 10.6 at least) > Seeing tab > Display and where it has Enhance contrast, reduce it back to normal with the slider. Or similar adjustments to that effect depending what Mac you have.

How to change the Busy tone of WIC-2FXS in 2610

My local FXS card is connected to my office PBX CO port. When a far end caller disconnects a VoIP session, my local FXS generates a very strange tone to my PBX so that the AA of my PBX cannot detect such busy tone and hence cannot drop the call. The strange tone is very different from the normal busy tone from PSTN.
Anyone can teach me how to change the FXS busy tone when a VoIP session is disconnected.

Configure the voice port for the local territory's call progress tone setting. The call progress tone setting determines the settings for dialtone, busytone, and ringback tone.
The default for this command is northamerica. For a list of supported countries
router(config-voiceport)# cptone country

Don't worry, susus214, we're here to help change your ring back tone. Ann154, is correct. This can be done in My Verizon at vzw.com Once you sign in using your mobile number's credentials you can go to I Want To...> More Actions> Media> Manage Ringback Tones. I believe now you potentially lose all extensions, plug-ins when you use the new reset function, but you will let me know.
If that is the case, your find corrupt file method maybe better. However, I reviewed the two help articles and there appear to be more files than just the delete search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder. I am confused. Then I have to find the folders. I think help articles mentioned how to find the profile containing the files, but not sure.

On your keyboard, press the CTRL and the , (comma) keys at the same time
You will see a box like this:
Stay on the first tab (as shown) and select the drop-down menu as arrowed
English (UK variety) is the fifth one from the top. US variety English is the sixth one
Select your choice and click on OK
There will be an additional piece of text under the menu now; it simply tells you that you need to close and re-open iTunes for the language change to take effect.
That's it!

Launch iTunes. If you don't currently have your menu bar up, go control-B to bring it up. Now from the "Berwerken" menu select "Voorkeuren...", as per the following screenshot:
That gets you through to the preferences tabs. Now in the "Algemene" tab, go down to the "Taal" drop down menu. Select one of the two "Engels" entries (one is English UK and one is English US), as per the following screenshot:

Quit and restart your iTunes and you should now be seeing English again.

umm my music is synced depending on how i want it.. so right now I have it set up by artist, and alphabetically.
sort your library the way you want it, then sync.

I see there is an option to turn the text message settings for a particular contact to 'none'. Is there a way to change the ring tone to 'none' or 'silent' for only one contact. This is a person who calls way too often and I used to turn their ringer to 'none' when I had a blackberry. This way I can talk to this person when it is convenient for me and not have to listen to the ringer everytime they call.

You need to sync a silent ringtone to your phone & then assign it to that contact. Here's one already made:
