How to change the width of the Properties Character Family block

I'm a n00b with Captivate but notice I am unable to change the font family or style in the block area because it runs into the side scroll bar. Based on videos I've seen, there should be an arrow allowing the ability to scroll down to font. The only way I am able to change fonts is typing it in manually.
I'm using 10.6.8 and the latest version of Captivate.

You could widen in the left dock? That means that your width is not the maximum width. If it is a typo and you meant the bottom dock, ignore my remark.
Which resolution do you use on the monitor? And did you try to switch to another workspace?
The workspace settings are in the Preferences folder. Could you try to refresh that folder (you'll lose all customisation) to get back to the default settings? There is a batch file in the installation folder of Captivate under Utils. Captivate must be closed. When reopening you'll have the default Preferences, maybe that will restore your workspaces.
And don't forget to clear the cache regularly, it can grow quickly and also cause some corruption.

How to change the properties of individulal elements in an array?

Hi all,
I have an array (size is 25) of string and I want to disable and grayout half of them. But how do I do it? How do I change the properties of individual elements in an array? I have tried to use some of the examples given in the discussion forums, but it didint work for the task mentioned above. Anybody would be able to help me with a suitable example that can be specifically used for disable or enable the individual array elements?

How to change the title of a block/form/table in the WebIC CRM 2007 ?

Hi,
We want to change the title of a block in the work area for example from 'Account details' to 'Partner details'.
After investigation we think that we have to change the text in SOTR_EDIT transaction by editing the Alias or defining a new one with the desired title.
The problem is that when we search for the alias in the OTR maintain initial screen , we get a list and we don't know which one is the alias associated to the title of our view..
Is it the right way to proceed or is there any other solution ?

Its so simple,
Go to the Component/ View : BP_HEAD/BPHEADOverview
Click on the CONFIGURATION tab.
Alt+Click on the BP_HEAD : AccountViewSet : Account Details
Juss Change the Title Account Details to Partner Details.
That's it. Your block title is changed now from Account Details to Partner Details.

How to change the automatic character format in Message Editor?

Hi experts,
We use PI 7.31, AAE adapter in our scenario. When we use the message monitor in Adapter Engine, we choose one message and open it in Message editor, we can see the message payload with AUTO Character Format: Windows-1252.
The problem is we have some CN characters and they cannot display in correct formats.
So, is there any way to change the AUTO Character format?
The other question is, can we see the message after mapping in java message monitor?

The Quantity field which is used in sales order has a standard Data Type:QUAN
with Decimal Places:3 so u cant change the settings in standard data element CRMT_SCHEDLIN_QUAN
If u want the quantity field without decimals then u need to create a Z data element.

Try to make change in the properties of the local area connection, i.e. click Start --> Control panel --> Network Connection --> Local Area Connection --> properties. Then select Internet Protocal(TCP/IP), click on the Properties. Normally, the PC is set at Obtain an IP address automatically. Now need to change to Use the following IP address, then enter the IP address, Default gateway address. after that, click OK.
I am wondering, is Labview could do the setup as described? Once all done, is it possible to change the TCP/IP setting back to "Obtain an IP address automatically"?

I tried but not working. The way I try to do is connnecting two PCs directly through Ethernet cable. Then change the IP addresses as mentioned, after that ping another PC. If done manully, working.
After run the program you mentioned in your email, I check the "ipconfig /all" in the DOS window, it is still the old IP address. If changed manually, check ipconfig in the DOS window, it is changed.
Any thoughts?

I'm not sure, but in other environments, you have to change your JDBC settings.

How to change the database character set on physical standby database?

We have a database with character set WE8ISO8859P1 and migrated the character set to WE8MSWIN1252 using csscan/csalter scripts. This database has a physical standby database setup also and after the migration, the physical standby database is still showing the character set as WE8ISO8859P1. How can I change the characterset on the physical standby? I raised a Service Request with Oracle, and they said that recreating the standby database is the only supported way of changing the char set on the standby database. Is this true?

In the <rw:graph> tag, just add the standard HTML properties of width="xxx" and height="xxx" to control the width and height of the image. BTW, the graph tag is in the on-line help, although not in the index. You can find it by doing a search for "rw:graph".

How to change the width of a field?

I would like to decrease the width of a field on my report.
But I can't do it in the Property palette. I am not able to change the width property. The width of the database column is varchar2(255). I do not want to decrease the length of the database column, but only the width property of the field.
Any ideas?

As far as I knows, you can only increase the width of a
character column. If you wish to decrease it, I would think
you'd have to drop/delete the whole column and recreate it,
loosing all your data in the process (unless you create a
temporary table into which you copy the data first, and then
copy it back into the "new" column - the oracle db will truncate
the data automatically).
SQL Plus is very well suited for the task, but requires you to
write the appropriate SQL statements yourself. Other tools may
simplify this for you (I use SQL Plus myself).

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to modify the width of the New Form and Edit Form of a list in SharePoint 2010 .
1.Go to your SharePoint site -> your list.
2.In top ribbon click List tab(List Tools).
3.Towards right you will see option as Form Web Parts, click on it, the three forms will be listed there [New Form, Display Form, Edit Form].
4.Select the one on which you want to increase the width/height.
5.It will open in edit mode, click on Add a Web Part.
6. Click on Forms [Categories] => HTML Form Web Part.
7.After adding the HTML Form Web Part, click on Edit WebPart.
8.Click on Source Editor, Remove all code from it and put an empty HTML table with width and height as per your requirement ex. to increase width

9.Save the form and check out your respective modal by clicking on the same in your list view.

I don't think its possible for downloading from interactive report but let's see if anyone else has got a work around.
The other way to have absolute control over report layout is to create reports using 'Report Query' & 'Report Layout' under 'Shared Components'.
