How to change to SMPT host
Hi,
I am MCA student doing a final year project in company.I am in team implementing sunidm. I have installed sunidm on windows. While installing the idm i selected for sending email notification file as local file ie is text file insteated of SMTP. Do we have any method to edit that and change to SMTP.
thanks in advance
Thanks for reply
Now a new problem. i am using idm 6.0 version. i unstalled that idm which i was using in that i was able to redirect all mail to a text file .now the problem is i installed the idm 6.0 version again successfully but there is problem in send a mail to text file. i followed all the same steps which i did perviously. since i will not get the SMTP host id in the company i should do it with the txt file itselt. if i created a new organization and tried to create a user this is error
Failure sending email: com.waveset.exception.ServiceNotResponding:
==> javax.mail.MessagingException: Unknown SMTP host: mail.example.co
Please help me out solveing the problem. my project is a proof of concept

How to change the full host and domain name on OS X Leopard...
I recently bought an iMac, and I'm trying to configure it for my network. The question I have is, how can I change the host name and domain name from Skuld.local to skuld.tolharadys.net?
After mucking around with a few searches on Google, I've gotten the domain name to stick since running domainname returns tolharadys.net. Also I can change the hostname as reported by 'hostname' temporarily by running 'hostname skuld.tolharadys.net' in Terminal.app. However, this isn't persistent after reboots. Ideas are welcome.You would need a DNS server on your network configured to answer authoritatively for that particular subdomain.

How to Change Hyper-V Host Physical NIC
I plan to replace a physical NIC on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-v host. What are the steps that I need to do. Thank you.
Delete the virtual switch for it and remove the NIC.
Install the new NIC and create a new virtual switch for it and assign it to the VMs that need it.
Also, a much better place to ask hyper-v questions is in the hyper-v forum:

Hello colleagues,
How to change the hostname in iview? i have portal 7.30. Is here?
Is this system?
the configuration of the host system is associated with the landscape overview?
Thanks.Hello there Víctor!
Your assumption is correct. The iViews reference a System Alias, and the System Alias belongs to a System Object.
The System Object is a portal representation of the actual system to which the portal connects to retrieve the expected application. Following you can find a good explanation:
How to Create System Object in the Portal for Connecting to SAP backend System - Portal - SCN Wiki
Hope to have clarified your question!

How to change the permission of a folder of a website hosted on Microsoft Azure. I would like to know how to enable read write permission for this folder
Regards,
JohnHi,
Please try to setting Folder Permissions on Web Publish, and then deploy it with Web Deploy, as far as I know, if we do that, Web Deploy will use the SetAcl operation to change permissions. Please have a look at the article below.

How to change CUE ip address?
Hi,
We moved to a new location and using comcast as ISP. I was setting up the phone system today and met a few problems.
1. First of all, all the phones are connected and working(total of 4), but I can only see 3 of them showing up in the CCA. Whats happening here?
2. I wanted to change the user name which appears on the phone using the CCA, CCA told me that the settings were successfully sent to UC520, I restarted the phone and uc520, but the names on the phones remain unchanged?
3. I forgot the password of the voicemail for one of the phone, and wanted to changed in the CUE. so I went to 10.1.10.1,but some comcast login page showed up instead of CUE. so I want to know how to change the IP address of CUE? I don`t know the CLI commands so please teach me if it can only be done with CLI. I have only used CCA in the past. Could this be the reason why for problem 1 and 2? I`m feeling wierd because all the phones can be used to call in/out.
my data vlan is 192.168.0.0 and voice vlan is 192.168.2.0 let me know if you need any other info.
need help urgently as I want to resolve this problem asap.
Thanks in advance.

endhow to change local ip address?Via an operating system command.
It's not the sort of thing an application should be doing at all. IP addresses these days are assigned via DHCP. Why would you want to change it from within an application? It would probably disconnect all sockets for all running applications, invalidate the login, all kinds of bad effects.
What is the actual requirement? -
How to change default ports for task flow application?
I deploy a task form with the following hwtaskflow.xml information:
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
<hwTaskFlows xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/hwTaskFlowProperties">
<ApplicationName>worklist</ApplicationName>
<LookupType>LOCAL</LookupType>
<TaskFlowDeploy>false</TaskFlowDeploy>
<TaskFlowServer>
*<hostName/>*
*<httpPort/>*
*<httpsPort/>*
</TaskFlowServer>
<hwTaskFlow>
<WorkflowName>ApproverHumanTask</WorkflowName>
<TaskDefinitionNamespace>http://xmlns.oracle.com/MyApp/MyComposite/MyTask</TaskDefinitionNamespace>
<TaskFlowId>MyTask_TaskFlow</TaskFlowId>
<TaskFlowFileName>WEB-INF/MyTask_TaskFlow.xml</TaskFlowFileName>
</hwTaskFlow>
</hwTaskFlows>
When I deploy the form then check the task URI in EM I see
Host name: server host name
HTTP port: 80
HTTPS port: 443
I know I can override these ports in the hwtaskflow but what if I want HTTPS port left blank? We don't have HTTPS active on our server. Another server in our environment only populates the HTTP port (HTTPS port is left blank) but I'm puzzled why the different behavior.
Can anyone tell me either how to specify a "blank" HTTPS port in the hwtaskflow or, preferably, how to change the server configuration so that HTTPS port is not filled in when I deploy the task form? We are wanting a completely automated deployment and presently we have to manually remove the HTTPS port via EM after deploying. Argh!Jon,
May be you already figured out the solution nevertheless i will answer your questions.
1. Turning off the https port - give value as 0 for httpsPort in your hwtaskflow.xml.
Second reason why your custom hwtaskflow is not getting picked up is you have set the TaskFlowDeploy as false.
If you set this as true , and specify your cluster address you should be all set.
for eg : - your cluster host address is somename.cluster.com with only http configured at port 80 lets assume.
Then your hwtaskflow should look like this
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
<hwTaskFlows xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/workflow/hwTaskFlowProperties">
<ApplicationName>worklist</ApplicationName>
<LookupType>LOCAL</LookupType>

How to change external display resolution WITHOUT clicking "CONFIRM"?
I have a somewhat unusual situation. My MacBook laptop is actually now a ModBook (a pen-tablet computer), and as such I no longer have a trackpad attached to it. All of my inputs are via the stylus, tapping directly on the built-in display.
This works perfectly fine, except when I need to give presentations on an LCD projector (which is quite often lately). I like to use the projector as an external monitor, so that I can run the Keynote presentation on it while using my laptop screen as the presenter's display, with the upcoming slide, etc. If the projector doesn't give me an ideal native display option (sometimes, the aspect ratio for the 3 or 4 resolutions available in the Displays drop-down in the menubar turn out to be stretched or squeezed), then I, naturally, have to open the Display System Preferences and try out different resolutions.
The problem is, since my stylus only interacts by clicking directly on the built-in-display, I have no way of moving the cursor over to the external display when the dialog box with the "Click here to confirm change/You have 15 seconds..." message appears. So I can never click it ... so I can never confirm the new settings.
The workarounds I've used so far are:
- Mirror displays (not ideal, as I need the presenter preview of the next slide)
- borrow a mouse from someone (usually from a Windows desktop, frankly) and plug that in to briefly mouse over and click the confirm button
I'd love to find a software workaround that allows me to NOT mirror displays and also doesn't require me to carry around a mouse all the time (my laptop bag is already overstuffed...).

How to change the display resolution of APEX ??APEX doesn't have a display resolution. "Display resolution" is an attribute of the device and user agent software used to view the APEX page.
What do you mean by "the display resolution of APEX"?
In other word, if an end user sees large elements on a pageWhat "large elements"?
then he/she zooms it outHow?
"Zooms" what—the entire page or a single "large element"?
How can I set a proper ZOOM for my app by default ...Meaning what?
And as usual, we're missing:
<li>Full APEX version
<li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
<li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
<li>Theme
<li>Template(s)
<li>Region/item type(s)
You've been posting here for years. You know this basic information is necessary to understand and reproduce problems.
If you're looking for help it doesn't seem unreasonable that you make the effort to provide a full, clear but concise description of the problem or requirement. -
How to change my password and my incoming and outgoing mail servers
Hi I have used Outlook Express for years and I know how to configure "everything" I need within the settings pages because their settings pages are all "logical" with everything out in the open.
However, Thunderbird "hides" their settings behind buttons and confusing screens.
There are many tutorials that explain how to set up Thunderbird from the beginning, and show how to set up a new email account. But I have not been able to find a tutorial on how to change my email account password "after" I have been using Thunderbird for awhile.
I also see no way to change the incoming and outgoing servers. For example, I have changed from one hosting company to another hosting company and I need to use the new mail servers from the new hosting company and I do not see any tutorials anyplace that cover ongoing or day-to-day activities with Thunderbird.
Can you please change your settings screens to make Thunderbird easier for new people to find these normal and necessary items?
Also can you please point me to a tutorial that shows me how to change my email account password and change my incoming and outgoing servers?
Thanks so much!
EdwardIf you wan to create an account, you must the delete the existing account.
So take backup of your emails if your using POP3
Two ways you can do it
