Hello,
I am trying to get Skype on a smart phone. My problem is simple: I cannot find the way to go from my Skype account page to the view that lists all my already existing list of contacts. This is insane. After 20 minutes on this, I still cannot find a way to list these contacts! Whatever I open seems to lead to ways of adding new features, pay new stuff, etc. I cannot either find which is the Skype version I have. No menu around, nowhere to find this. Either Skype is now terribly designed or I am very dumb.

Not all applications will go from Portrait to Landscape. Changing just requires you to turn the device. However, if you have the orientation lock activated, then it will not change to landscape. To check, look in the status bar and see if you can see a small lock shaped icon near the battery icon. If you do, then orientation lock is activated. To turn it off, swipe upwards from the bottom of the iPhone screen to bring up Control Center. The orientation lock is the last icon on the top row to the right. Tap on it to turn it off. White is on, black is off.

Now I want to Hide the Bounding Box and the Edges... but those shortcuts are now inoperable.
Photoshop allows me to hide bounding box, and the rulers, I think, when having an effect window open, why does Illustrator not permit this?
Is there an alternative other than canceling out and starting again with the view qualities changed?
Seems needlessly long winded to cut off these shortcuts just because an effects settings window/panel is open.

Basically, you can't. But you can enjoy the Scribble effect that has it on by default.
As for effects and their settings in general, I would appreciate if they were truly integrated in the Appearance palette (not just as a copy of the main Effect menu).
Illustrator still has got too many modal dialogs which hinder doing things like the bounding box example you mentioned.

How to change "view as icon" setting for several controls/indicators at same time?

I got a LabVIEW application from other people. Unfortunately, all of controls and indicators are displayed as icon on block diagram. How can I do the batch change for these kind of setting?

You can find a VI which does this here. If you want the ability to do this yourself, you should do a search for "LabVIEW scripting" and read about it first.

How to change View Attribute Name?

Is there a way to change the attribute name of a view object that was added from and entity Object?
I dont want to change the Entity Attribute Name since i want to use it in diferent view objects with diferent names...

It would be very convenient to have view object attribute name updateable because the attributes may result from different joins (to same table) and have different meaning depending more on the association than to the table attribute itself (in most case the relationship extend the meaning of the attribute).
In my use case i have :
A table FlexTypologyClassMatrix with two foreign key pointed to FlexTypologyClass primary table. That mean that my matrix have two axis defined by the primary key of FlexTypologyClass table.
I created a view object that correspond to this scheme with eo's FlexTypologyClassMatrix, FlexTypologyClass as FlexTypologyClassAxisX, FlexTypologyClassAxisY).
The view object attributes from eo's FlexTypologyClassMatrixAxisX or Y are generated from the table attribute name with a suffix like FlextypologyclassL (for FlexTypologyClassMatrixAxisX) and FlextypologyclassL1 (FlexTypologyClassMatrixAxisY).
The attribute name are the most used item used later in the development cycle and this is not easy to distinguish the X from the Y without analyzing the view object definition. It's not a very productive way to develop application.
It would be very convenient to permit the view object attribute name to be updateable or the alias name of the entity object in the view object has to be displayed with, every time.
I didn't check if the info is displayed every tiem, may be it is a workaround !?

How to change view options whilst in device music menu?

Don't seem to have the option to change the view of the library (4 buttons to left of search window, top right of page) when using the library on the device but i can whilst using the library on pc.
Only song list icon in use (library shows list of artists to left of library), would be useful to be able to change, any ideas??

You cannot edit view options for the menu/layout on the iPod itself.

i have used UINavigationController and used UITabBar from IB.
I have added 3 UITabBarItem named 1. search 2. Recents and 3 .Favorites.
Now when i clicked on search item it should be open serachViewController and same as remaining two items,
But i can;t understand that how can i get that which items are selected ....

I think this is what you are asking for-
In IB, click on each tab bar button and set the NIB name of the tab controller buttons to the NIB name of your other views, and set the Class of the of each button to the Class files that control those views. Then clicking on each button will load separate NIB files.
Also, working in tree-view in IB makes it easier to understand what's connected to what when working with controllers like Navigation and TabBar.

I much prefer using "list" over "grid" and "fan" because it's compact and easier to see what's going on. But list doesn't allow you to drag icons off it...

I would like to change from Outlook to mail. I recently got an e-mail with a receipt from Macys. It looks good on my iPhone and on my iPad. It looks good on Outlook, but its ugly on mail. Instead of having one compressed picture, the content is widely distributed. I have installed Maverick.

The reason I asked is because keying all devices synced is exactly what it is all about.
FYI, You need to use the Mail application, but you do NOT need to use an @me.com account. It support Gmail and other mail servers.

How can i view monthly calendar entries in OS7 like in OS6?

I just purchased an iPhone 5S with OS7;I had been using a 4S with OS6. I cannot figure out how to change view of calendar. On my 4S I could see entries when I looked at the whole month calendar. On the 5S, I only see a dot for an event; I have to open the day to see the specific event. Where are the calendar preferences?

From the Month view in iOS 7, you will only see the dot. If you are updated to at least iOS 7.1, you will have a button next to the magnifying glass at the top of the screen that will allow you to see the events for the day if you toggle it on or off. That same button also changes your day view to the list view that you may have seen in iOS 6, so play around with that button. Also, you can turn the iPhone sideways at anytime to see the week calendar.

How to Change Finder Settings in All Windows?

I'm trying to change my finder settings across all finder windows... I tried the solution posted in the above thread but get this message in terminal. I'm not all that computer savvy when it comes to terminal so not sure what it means... Perhaps someone knows of a different and/or better solution?

Yup got it back after waiting, followed the remaining directions, but didn't work for me... not sure why? Upon rebooting folders do not change after I readjust settings and click 'use as default'.... strange... I even tried that other line of code another person posted later on in the previous thread.

How to change the default view of published iCal's URL

I am publishing an iCal for a nonprofit group and link to the calendar from the group's website. The default URL given (in the send publish email option) leads to the week view of the current week. I would prefer the link to take site visitors to the month view of the calendar. If I go to the month view and copy the URL for it, and use that for the link, I have to change the URL each month, because the URL that comes from the month view will only show the month it was at the time I copied the URL -- it will not change with the new month. Does anyone have any idea of how I can change the URL so that it leads to the month view of whatever the current month is?
I should note that I know how to change the default view in the my browser, but I would rather not have to explain how to do this to all the people viewing the calendar -- just wanting the correct month view to show up when they click the link, without having to change it each month.
I would be so grateful if anyone has some insight on this!

In direct response to your questions, I would say that (as observed by the OP) anyone who subscribes to a published calendar can make a change to their desired view using the "Preferences" icon which is displayed underneath the mini-month calendars.
There is no way that I know of to directly or conveniently change the time-range. There may be workarounds, but I could not find a suitable solution for you.
I would recommend that you provide iCal Feedback, if you are interested in informing Apple of your desires.

How can I view my iCloud contacts from someone else's iPhone? I don't want to change their phone settings.

Yesterday I ran into a problem that was eye opening to say the least. I could not not access my contacts in order to find a friend's phone number. No one remembers phone numbers any more. God knows I don't.
I was on a jetski and it broke down. I was stranded at a dock miles away. I needed to contact my friend to tell him (a) I'm ok, (b) where I was, (c) to bring a tow. Of course I had no phone on me because it would have gotten soaked.
People were kind enough on the dock to let me use their smart phones to attempt to retreive the phone number and call for help. But I quickly discovered that it is impossible.
On an iPhone, I tried to use their Safari browser to go to www.icloud.com. When you do that, it simply redirects you to the apps. But it isn't my phone, and their apps are logged in to the owner's accounts. I wasn't about to update the settings in a stranger's phone.
One guy let me try his iPad with Cellular. Same problem as the iphones. It would not let me use www.icloud.com. It insisted that I use the native iOS apps.
On an Android, www.icloud.com would simply refuse to work. It would say it was not supported.
The question I have is: How can I view my contacts from someone else's smart phone in an emergency situation?
Second question: Why can't I use www.icloud.com on a smart phone's web browser like I can on regular computer?
I got lucky. I happened to know my mom's home number. Many hours later she was home and I was able to use a phone to call her. She brought up www.icloud.com on her home computer, logged on as me, and read me the phone number I was seeking. But what are the chances of being able to call a trusted person who has access to a computer to do this for you?

Without "pretending" to be yourself on the other phone (change settings) there's nothing else you can do.
iOS devices are meant to be single user and can't view iCloud.com the same way a Mac or PC can do.
You need to find a desktop or laptop machine (Mac or PC) to log in at iCloud.
