How to change what a new tab opens to when auto:config does not work?

Hi,
For an unknown reason my new tab changed from google to a weird yahoo one today. I cannot find how to revert it back even after i made google my home page and default search engine. I checked online and saw that perhaps I could fix things with the auto:config but I cannot even get it to open. When I try a search engine opens up. Any help would be appreciated.

The correct name of that page is about:config and not 'auto:config'.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar.
You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

My enter btton does not work in the address bar or search engine. I have done the restart in safe mode...deleted and reinstalled firefox...done the malware/adware checks...still no improvement.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

How do I enable Javascript in Foxfire 29.0? about:config does not work.

I've just downloaded the newest available Foxfire (29.0) in the hope I can access my gmail account. But it still says "Javascript is not enabled". about:config does NOT show a preferences menu, so I can't toggle Javascript on. I tried downloading add-ons to toggle Javascript on/off, but they are not compatible with Firefox 29.0.
Must I stop using Firefox altogether? I cannot access my banks, my credit cards, or my gmail accounts, nor can I access YouTube. This is all I use my browser for -- so Firefox is no longer useful to me, unless you can give me a fix for this!

This solution didn't work, because the page was redirecting and never arrived. It might have been because I was using Internet Explorer, which also is not Javascript enabled -- but the Mozilla Support Forum requires Javascript enabled in order to access it!
I used Chrome, and was able to toggle it when the about:config field ''finally'' opened. The originally posted instructions omitted the instruction that the command about:config will only work if you do it from the Firefox home screen, where the orange word 'Firefox' appears at the beginning of the destination.

"AVG Safe Search" often makes the "Enter" key not work, it may be opening their search in a new tab since they are the ones with the search by that name. Make sure that you do not have that extension see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problematic_extensions
Actually there is more than just the one extension that AVG might install, reinstall AVG Free without the Link Scanner component as mentioned in the above link and always refuse additional baggage offered during an install -- AVG Free does not ask in the free version it just includes it and there are no options once installed in the Free version for components..
Also make sure you don't have the "Ask Toolbar" or other toolbars you did not ask for. see the same link above for Toolbar problems.
It is definitely an extension that causing the behavior you see.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for bing via the Filter at the top of the about:config page. 
You can reset all bing related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.

Okay, I did a 'reset all settings' in settings and problems fixed. Hope this can be useful for others.
Edit: it appears that when the assistive touch is on the autolock function won't work while in the home screen, but will work if opening a app. I hope Apple fixes this bug in the next update.

Other than what you have already done, you should clear the cache from your browser and, if you use it, your Facebook app. Also, deleting old texts can free up some room.

[BUG] "Open declaration" in some cases does not work

If object name has the different register of letters then "Open declaration" in context menu does not work. But in the same case "Popup describe" in context menu works fine.

4.1EA. Open Body button in toolbar does not work. In object tree click on some Package. Next - in toolbar click on OpenBody button. Body is not opened.

Ow, that's a bad one, good catch.
As a workaround the 'gutter blue arrow' hyperlinks DO work.
Once I DO manage to get the body open, the button works for me without fail, even after an application restart. And I'm able to open other package bodies. So I can reproduce this bug once, but only once.
Do you see the same?
